This video is the reason I am able to be employed at my job - I am not exaggerating or being dramatic. I would not be able to work at the job I have now without this video (or something comparable to it). I work in an office and I cannot stand the sound of constant, never-ending, loud typing all day long. I listen to this video Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. The first thing I do when I get to work is put in my headphones and start this video. I have never gone a day without it. I found this video a few years ago and it honestly changed the outlook I had for my career. I know I might be coming off as crazy (as it would be hard for someone without this problem to understand how a sound can affect your life), but certain sounds literally paralyze my ability to think because I cannot shut them out. So I just wanted to say thank you for uploading this video. I hope you know how important it is to many of us.
Amazing to hear how helpful you find this. Although I also couldn't help but feel for you, when I read how much you need this just to get through the day at work. You don't sound crazy. I have had similar feedback from people over the years who suffer from a similar plight, so unfortauntely, I know you are not alone. I hope this continues to help you for as long as you need it. Thank you for posting your appreciation and for sharing your feedback, that means a lot. :)
I depend on videos like this to get through every workday. I am sensitive to sounds myself but I work in a loud office so this video has helped enormously. I used to listen to music at work for hours on end, but that just made me stop listening for pleasure at home. This is so much better! Anyway, not crazy, glad you found something that helps and much success with your career plans!
Thank you for posting your experience Jack. I had to quite an office job a few years back because I was constantly on edge. I think I have figured out I am noise sensitive, but I am afraid to go back to a regular office without coping strategies and I hadn't thought about listening to this all the time! I have been listening to this video at night as I find it calming. Thanks. I have a new tool.
To the person reading this, Good Luck! Don't stress, everything will be fine. No matter what difficulty you are facing right now, you can overcome it! You are strong and brave.🥰❤
Listened to the entire thing over the course of a few study sessions... time to restart it before I continue my history essay. I'm so glad I discovered this, it's enough to block out distractions, but subdued enough not to be a distraction itself.
NightWatchman Try listening to some Merzbow. It helps me when I really need to tune EVERYTHING out and focus. I feel like harsh noise is better than pure, algorithmic noise because it can technically still be classified as music.
Have you ever laid on a beach and just closed your eyes and listened to the waves? I often stay at a friend's family beachfront penthouse in Wildwood NJ during the winter months. This constant rushing of waves and the soft crashing against the shore sounds very similar to this noise. The city is dark and quiet in the winter due to lack of illumination and tourism. I would lay on the deck, gaze up at the sky where every star was visible, and listen to the consistent sound of the ocean pulsating and thrashing against itself before hitting the shore in loud bursts of dispersing tranquility. As someone who doesn't come from wealth, these moments were priceless to me. This sound really takes me there. It's beauty brings me peace.
It sounds a lonely stroll under quaint brown clouds that precipitate an unending downpour of airbourne manure hydrate. One such downpour would be extremely shitty, even in the slightest severity of inclemency...
Bitnah S Indeed.First thought that came to my mind was the ocean. I lived on an Island for 17 years, and at night when the gulls stop squaking all you hear is the ocean. Beautiful.

I am ever thankful for this video. As a truck driver I had issues with inconsistent sleep schedules, but this puts me into an almost instant and deeply useful sleep each and every time. I no longer struggle with fatigue while driving, even at nights. Thanks a million for this video.
Honestly, this came up in my suggested feed and I thought "what sadistic human would possibly think it's a good idea to put this tone up for 8 hours" because I had confused it with the brown note initially. Glad to say this is very relaxing and not uncontrollable bowel release inducing.
White noise is the whole spectrum. That's why it's harsh. It's like looking at every color at the same time. Brownian Noise, or Red Noise ...is Low Pass filtered so most of the Higher Frequencies are dampened.

I am in the encroachment of menopause and am struggling with intense anger when the neighbor's dog is barking its fool head off or the kids have their game sounds up too loud, etc. I just found this page and already feel the tension in my shoulders falling off. Thank you for keeping me out of prison! :)
Just wanted to thank you for this. I have meniere's disease and my tinnitus was HORRIBLE today...listening to this has made it manageable. Thank you SO MUCH.

how does it help im curious. like immediately after listening to this or after many sessions? and for how long does it help? im having a loud tinnitus and its so annoying that you never "hear" silent.... :( and ofc when trying to sleep. hope someone answers me
From understanding. Each color sounds different because they are at different frequencies. Brown noise is a lower frequency and therefore lower pitched. I agree, the higher pitched ones like white noise and pink noise are more high pitched and can be more anxiety inducing than relieving
This is ideal for shutting off the chatter. You only know what calm means once the over-stimulation dampens down. Best part is it's useful both for sleep, relaxation as well as studying. I normally prefer Green Noise, but this smoothed version is an ideal mix. The rain sounds are also relaxing but have weird effects. Especially, while sleeping....rain creates some really weird, vivid dreams. This one shuts the mind in sleep, too. Dont know how that works. Thanks a lot for these (and no ads).

Dear Jason, Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You are now my new bestest friend, if you like it or not! Just WOW for such a simple thing to actually be doing all sorts of complex bodily, soul & mind reactions is just inconceivable to my current way of thinking! The fact that slowly, now, I will be able to FINALLY get rid of the "cocktail" of medications that big pharma has convinced me to be taking to rid me of my complex depression, anxiety & chronic lower back pain combination of problems...can now be solved just by knowing how to tap into a persons inner-vibrational frequencies, as there are many minute ones that still to this day we know very little if anything of! This, though, what you have graciously provided to your fellow man(and women too!...yes "feminazies"...we haven't forgotten about you!) is actually a Very BIG deal Jason! So...thank you! This will be the start to a whole new type of body healing...the one that actually gets to the source, not just a band-aid to "try" to cover up the symptoms! Something so small and insignificant to most other Y-tubers, but such a great big eye-opening gift to other like me...See, no-one should ever think that because something is so small or simple and insignificant, that it is also never even thought twice to be put on the net for others to also benefit! Such a massive population in this world, you just do not know who out there will not now think of ending it all, or even to live a life filled with depression and riddles with anxiety- you just DO NOT know...So what does it hurt to simply upload something that even just only you think is going to be beneficial and everyone else is saying no- it's all a big waste of time, well to them I say NO...NEVER!! Seize every opportunity to try and make life easier & better in this overly complex, rat-race we call "life".......Thanks again Jason!
White noise covers the full spectrum of sound frequencies, whereas brown noise uses mostly lower frequencies. White noise produces a much harsher sound, so it's not as pleasant to listen to. But it can be more effective for extreme cases of tinnitus, and for blocking out other invasive sounds. Brown noise has a more soothing sound, so it's more popular with meditators and widely used for relaxation.
+Timothy Sparrow That's normal. The brain will often attribute repeating sound patterns to patterns previously felt through the vibrations of the cochlea. In fact, a sound influx like brownian noise will often be reported to sound like cars booming in the distance -- so don't worry too much about it, you schizophrenic piece of shit.
I ended up here and I"m excited to try this at work. Im a scientist, work in a lab, have to multi task ALL the time, its draining I get ahead of myself feeling overwhelmed, start to rush and then make mistakes. sometimes very hard to focus on task in front of me. been researching about particular sound frequencies and their potential ability to "give you the proper brain band-aid" e.g. I suffered from migraines and found a frequency that worked for me so that makes me excited to give this a try in the lab this afternoon and report back here. THANK YOU!
I listen to this every morning when I get to work and leave it on all day. I have constant tinnitus and this helps me to not go crazy sitting in silence in my office!
As someone with misophonia, this really helps me a lot in my studies, especially because my household doesn't care about my anxiety whenever I hear them snoring (bc we share the same bedroom) so thank you very much!!
I live in Mumbai and here ppl have serious problem with personal boundaries- they totally don't know what’s it... everyone makes noise whenever they want, be it 3am or 2pm... and it includes hundreds of firecrackers or wedding drums by 6am. Just bcs it's a best time to get married according to astrology and everyone else should be happy for this ppl 😢 or endless construction work all over the place without any noise/dust restrictions. So I'm just crying, I can't take this noise, I can't function. But now I got apple noise cancelation ear pods and this video. That keeps me going, I almost never stop using it. Being home or outside, talking to ppl, I'm always with this winning couple. Thank you So Much for this (!) noise 🎉
Oh my goodness, that sounds too hard to live with for me. I have Asperger's Syndrome and misophonia and C-PTSD and I could definitely visit a place like that, but not live there. Is there any option to move to a different city or even a different country? I'm a woman too; hugs from America lol🫂
existence isn't optional God has made each of us to have an immortal soul that will exist eternally, even after this brief time on earth has passed God does not give us the 'option' to end that eternality
Woah is that really you? I remember you from the Chon bruh. Thought you were terrible back then cause I was too busy being enlightened by my own intelligence in hindsight I admire your work. God bless.
Thanks, what a release. Suffering from the beat of my heart and the noise in my ears and really chronic migraine. Smells, noise , intense is not my style since my brain is so sensitive. Really good quality for always (while doing my house hold, sleeping)
Richard F. Stripe The term white noise comes from the fact that it is analogous to white light, which is a combination of all frequencies or wavelengths in the visible light spectrum.
listening to this in conjunction with rainymood makes for an awesome experience. im very calm. brown noise = background, rainymood = foreground which is awesome
my puppy has really bad separation anxiety and this helped, they whined a bit but they stopped and weren't wrecking up everything like they always do thanks!
I just think I'm sleeping near a waterfall in a tent with a warm blanket and comfortable pillow and feel the breeze while listening to the rush of water. Even studying while playing this makes me sleepy. Thanks for the brown noise! :D
This is the perfect noise for me, I listened to many other sound ..but this one is the only one that put me to sleep, the moment it was on my muscles start to tingle, thats normal right. 👌 Thanks again.
Idk why this showed up in my recommended, but when I say this I thought of my dad. He tells me the he can literally hear a constant ringing noise in his ear 24/7. And it makes it hard for him to sleep.Hope this helps him.
I'm all about the lower frequencies, so thanks for this. I can have this on while listening to class lectures I am anxious to get through... So calming and takes up dead air space.💕
You would think this would get annoying after awhile. No actually. I crave every second longer. I love falling asleep and relaxing to rain hitting a roof. And this sounds exactly like that. As most others have said in the comments it's a natural sound. TV static sounds more like pink noise. This though. It sounds like rain hitting a roof or better yet.....a rushing waterfall

@@lolah3838 Grey noise is the worst. It's like it's digging in your ears.
This sounds like rain☺
Amazing study music. Helped me to eliminate background noise but not distract me like other music. Thanks so much :)
It's really relaxing ! Good while I am writing my Master thesis
I'm so glad I found this, I've been losing sleep over my stupid ass room mate and the freight train onslaught of snoring.
Starts to sound like rain to me, and that's awesome.
+Liss Firefly same
Wind rustling leaves in the forest...
+Liss Firefly It sounds like a waterfall to me.
I hear people and cars... creepy
+Timothy Sparrow
That's normal. The brain will often attribute repeating sound patterns to patterns previously felt through the vibrations of the cochlea. In fact, a sound influx like brownian noise will often be reported to sound like cars booming in the distance -- so don't worry too much about it, you schizophrenic piece of shit.
i actually have been using this for anxiety and sleep and it really works. Very lucid dreams still getting used to them....Good night.
THANK YOU!
it sounds like a waterfall. I love it
omfg, this totally makes the sound of my tinitus go away.
Same with me.
I thought that only happened in complete silence, that's how mine is.
Very soothing, it's lower than white noise (which is painful) and almost like a low waterfall, except more steady *happiness 😊*
Really helpful for blocking out distracting noises while studying. The street outside is busy af but look at me, not even fazed
I listen to this every morning when I get to work and leave it on all day. I have constant tinnitus and this helps me to not go crazy sitting in silence in my office!
this video single-handedly saves me from autistic over-stimulation everyday ♥️
I clicked on this because what the fuck does brown noise mean
-DerseDreamer- it's like white noise but focuses on lower frequencies rather than all of them equally.
-DerseDreamer- oooo ooo you might want to try red noise
Shaun Dreclin I don't think he knows what a white noise is
same here - i thought it's a meme
finally someone asking the real questions
Oh this sound is divine. I sleep to it every night
As someone with misophonia, this really helps me a lot in my studies, especially because my household doesn't care about my anxiety whenever I hear them snoring (bc we share the same bedroom) so thank you very much!!
for real same :") power to you.
I am the snoring one and we can't do anything about the snoring either
Didn't work, I'm still constipated
Waste of space weeb
existence isn't optional
God has made each of us to have an immortal soul that will exist eternally, even after this brief time on earth has passed
God does not give us the 'option' to end that eternality
Hey man whatever floats your boat, was just joshin', no need to write an entire paragraph
.
I had this on a 45 rpm record in the 60s, but I had to get up every 3 minutes to flip the record. This is way more convenient.
Best yet tinnitus masker for my specific tinnitus. Very grateful!
It's literally TV static guys. And it makes me anxious as fuck. How anyone could relax to this is beyond me
Hannibal Barca noise does not have color
Richard F. Stripe The term white noise comes from the fact that it is analogous to white light, which is a combination of all frequencies or wavelengths in the visible light spectrum.
You can't see noise
It's literally TV static. Just turn on your tv and unplug the cable box
MrJrspek Oh, so it's fancy TV static
loved it you could really here the BROWN! just wow.
If you guys like this shit then you would LOVE music
D'jango Markov uh tf?
Music isn't constant.
Politicum exactly
Politics have you ever listened to Drone music?
listening to this in conjunction with rainymood makes for an awesome experience. im very calm. brown noise = background, rainymood = foreground which is awesome
my puppy has really bad separation anxiety and this helped, they whined a bit but they stopped and weren't wrecking up everything like they always do
thanks!
I just think I'm sleeping near a waterfall in a tent with a warm blanket and comfortable pillow and feel the breeze while listening to the rush of water. Even studying while playing this makes me sleepy. Thanks for the brown noise! :D
i love how my brain goes quiet as soon as this vid starts playing
Seriously though. I stopped stimming almost immediately and felt a kind of calm that i have never experiemced before in my entire life.
@@mississippiatheistette8769,😊
This is the perfect noise for me, I listened to many other sound ..but this one is the only one that put me to sleep, the moment it was on my muscles start to tingle, thats normal right. 👌
Thanks again.
D.Reece yo oo oo oo I'm tingling to
Too
I guess it's normal if you put one of the speakers on your muscle it would tingle.
This is a life saver from tinnitus while I study!
This was a life saver, I have the flu and after turning this on I was able to sleep for the next 3 hours straight
Idk why this showed up in my recommended, but when I say this I thought of my dad. He tells me the he can literally hear a constant ringing noise in his ear 24/7. And it makes it hard for him to sleep.Hope this helps him.
Khrystian Stewart same dude I put this on every night to sleep and always have 1 earbud in to block out the ringing
My favourite of the 3. Reminds me of a waterfall
Thank you so much for helping me partially drown out my incessantly talking coworker so I don't have to kill her. (perfect relaxing sound)
Really dig this, lets me block out the sound from other devices and people around me and concentrate on whatever I need to. Thank you.
I just took an 8 hour dump........ it was GLORIOUS!
ahhhhh how is this relaxing!!! its driving me insane!!
Same here. Feel like kicking a midget.
Torva Messorem makes me feel like i am the midget, trapped in a box
yo , i love papa from ghost, nice profile pic
Sanity, is for the weak!
Havon evadne woo!
This is awesome for sleep. Thank you.
Thanks so much! I"m using this to muffle the frankly godawful playlist at work. . . it's country and acid jazz on shuffle today apparently.
I'm all about the lower frequencies, so thanks for this. I can have this on while listening to class lectures I am anxious to get through... So calming and takes up dead air space.💕
Thanks for this video! We suffer from tinnitus and this help us to sleep.❤️
it sounded more reddish brown
underrated comment
Ah brown noise... for times when white noise is too privileged.
Did you just assume it's ethnicity? You racist fuck!
Obi Wan Cannoli I am an Italian American. Stop appropriating my culture with your sci-fi themed cannoli.
Hahahahahahaha
Excuse me? I happen to be an attack helicopter you sick fuck!
???????????? ^
that beat drop on 1:00:00
This drop is repeated every hour. It is just a loop. Lies everywhere
If anyone had this on for 8 hours straight, message me, you deserve a fricken award for this.🏆
I listen to this every single night and I’m afraid that I can’t sleep without it.
I finished listening to every.single.second of this video and completed my research paper just 20min after, woohoo
Thanks this really helps with tinnitus.
That is the reason why I am here too ....😢
márk oláh
You would think this would get annoying after awhile. No actually. I crave every second longer. I love falling asleep and relaxing to rain hitting a roof. And this sounds exactly like that. As most others have said in the comments it's a natural sound. TV static sounds more like pink noise. This though. It sounds like rain hitting a roof or better yet.....a rushing waterfall
Another fabulous recommendation from RUclips's algorithm. Just spectacular.
I’m surprised this is actually works. Im wearing just ordinary earphone and it does blocking annoying outside noise. Thank you for your service.
