  • After a nice sail from Great Barrier island to Whitianga, we pull the anchor early for a morning sail a few miles around the corner to Cathedral Cove. Arriving with the sunrise we get some beautiful scenes as the sun hits the coastline. We spend some time exploring the Te Whanganui A Hei marine reserve, Motueka island, as well as Gemstone bay, and the south end of Hahei beach. With a dirty easterly sea state set to arrive in a few days and funds running low its time to set sail back home to Mt Maunganui in the Bay Of Plenty.

Another fab video from "a man with a mullet". On his boat. I'm sitting at anchor here in the Bahamas in the Caribbean. A kiwi long term cruiser making my way home to NZ on my 28ft cutter. I really enjoy your videos, keep them coming..

Great visuals of Hahei and Cathedral Cove , I once sailed my old Piver Trimaran down from Gt Barrier Island to Hahei ended up living there for 7 years , had my boat moored at Flax mill Bay . In the early 80’s :-) I hear they will have the track open before Christmas !!

Good to see you back with some more content Chris. You're not the first sailing vlogger to lose your drone, bit of a bugger all the same. I looked out for you round the marina, but didn't spot you. Hope you got some go9d sailing this season.
