    Safe sailing.
    Boat:
White Shadow is a Van De Stadt ‘Seal’ 36 (11 metres). She is hand made in steel, 2004, with a round bilge (hull) and a modified coach roof. This makes her a ‘one off’ and in my opinion the most beautiful Van De Stadt 36 ever built.
    The camera gear:
Main camera is a Panasonic Hc- V700 with a Rode External mic with a sponge and dead kitten attached.
Action, underwater scenes and small blogging is done with two Osmo action cams. Some boat shots are done with a Dji gimbal camera.
    Editing:
Final cut pro on a Macbook. Most of the material for each video is filmed over a period of several weeks or so and the editing of each episode is normally done over a day. This process can take longer if original music is used or permissions are needed for copyrighted materials etc. Much time is spent sorting out technical problems. In this case I normally get the help of a younger person who understands computerie stuff!
There are also times when filming, editing and uploading is not possible due to being at sea or in locations with no internet access.
    Content:
I have found that filming and releasing material over a period of time is better than doing ‘vlog’ style videos and trying to make episodes out of whats happened in a week, regardless if it’s good content or not. By filming over a period of time I can be more selective in what goes into each video. My aim is to avoid ‘bland and mundane’ and have at least one or two exciting and interesting events in every video. Every video has to be entertaining.
    Comments and being at sea:
I love reading your comments. Most weeks Im able to read everyone. I cant reply to everybody but I do read and enjoy them. Keep them coming! There are times that It might seem I'm not on the internet for certain periods, this is normally when Im at sea on passage. While Im out on the Ocean I have completely no communications with the outside World.

When you're sweating a lot in the heat, remember to replenish your salts and electrolytes too, not only the water. Also, consider dumping buckets of seawater over you so your body doesn't have to sweat that much, but I'm sure you were already doing that. I said it last video, and I'll say it again: I am glad these videos are not in real time and that I know you somehow made it safely to land.

Dark urine is possibly from not enough salt.
It's counterintuitive but I'm not talking about drinking salt water. You do need enough salt so the body can absorb the fresh water you are drinking or you will dehydrate.
That's why sweat is salty! And you need to replace BOTH!
Half a teaspoon a day of salt or a shotglass of seawater!

Another great video! You know what else is great besides water is dried seaweed that you can get all over Asia, look up the nutrients, its a real good energy booster! And what is really really great in the morning for breakfast is couscous which is easy to prepare, its more nutritious than rice! I fry some garlic and ginger in a pan in olive oil then add half a chopped red pepper and another half orange pepper, some chopped red cabbage, a bit of chopped green or regular onions and one chopped carrot (very finely chopped), finish off with 1/4 can of green peas. After its fried you then add a teaspoon of curry powder and a half teaspoon of garam masala powder and half a tea spoon of red chilli pepper and mix the couscous in (you boil half a cup of water with salt then put in half a cup of couscous once you bring the water to a boil!) These three curry powders are essential as you know to anyone crossing an ocean, always so great to have on board! Served with a fresh glass of orange juice on ice and coffee and you have a super breakfast that will fill you for the day! Hummus on bread is also great when you add chopped fresh chilli to it, fresh olives and green onion to it. I also discovered canned sardines with mustard sauce when I was in France the last time and absolutely fell in love with that if you can locate that on shore somewhere next time! Keep in mind as well that if you eat a bowl of salad before going to bed, yuo'll wake up refreshed as the lettuce cleans the blood in the arteries while you sleep! You should also try to turn off all electromagnetics whenever you can as they are VERY harmful to your body.. If you think about how they scan the ocean all the time, they go through your body and a lot of sailors fall sick because of it and don't know why, they develop chronic fatigue or tumors, vertigo is also part of that, as you are always fighting that radiation, it gets tiring!.. Look up this video "Dr Sharon Goldberg 5g Michigan state hearing" as well as Dr Paul Heroux at the same hearing, very good information about this! Also they do sell portable air conditioners that cool a room very quickly, you should look that up! By the way just put a plastic blanket there at the front so the birds don't crap on your boat, the poor little ones were tired and really needed the rest! Glad you made it through that nasty weather in the next video! All the best!

You need a dc clamp meter, measures current flowing through a wire. Also, those black connectors are called MC4 and they un-clip . If you look carefully you'll see a couple of things , one on each side that are holding it together. I can un-clip them with my fingers/fingernails. Look insode, if you see corrosion the "waterproof capability" is not so good. You might need to replae them with common crimps after all. All those connections should stay absolutely dry. an upside down plastic bottle with the connections inside it helps a lot.

I work out doors, in the heat
Drinking loads of water isn't always the way
I found a couple of grams of the fine ground Himalayan rock salt to work wonders
Drink less, improves hydration, and I feel much better, especially the day after a really hard day, when I'd expect to feel terrible.
No cramping, feeling sick, or light headedness, it's minerals you need, when ya sweating hard.
