- This week we finally get going on our circumnavigation of New Zealand fro Great barrier island, and end up all the way down in Wellington, but on the way, we stop at White Island, or Whakaari (Maori name), where 22 people tragically lost their lives in an unexpected eruption in 2019. To go there after knowing what happened to them, was extremely eerie.... The documentary on Netflix is called The Volcano, Rescue from Whakaari.
SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. We found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across the Pacific Ocean!!

Hi Guys. This episode hit me hard. I lost a good friend and colleague at white island. Julie Richards and her daughter Jessica passed away in the white island volcano incident. I was employed by Julie and her good friend Les as an teenager. Thanks to Julie and Les and the freedom they gave me to learn eventually lead me to a scholarship to study electrical engineering. Without Julie and Les, I would probably never been able to afford to be a patreon, let alone meet you guys. I caught up with Julie and Jess just a few weeks before they passed away, and they were so excited for that holiday...

It was a fun few nights in Wellington, very strange feeling to see everyone in person to start with. Ian's daughter kindly dropped us back to the boat night two and we all had a good sing with Colin, epic end to the evening.

I watch every week on you tube and even though I can’t afford patreon this would be the channel I would definitely support because he always has meetings with his supporters but most of all it seems like he always has his supporters on the boat. Man i feel you. Seeing Stephen leaving (Again) reminds me of when I lived in Firenze, Italy for 2 years, starting and running pubcrawl Florence 1999, later to be renamed Extreme Pubcrawl Florence in a co-op with the Pubcrawl in Rome.
While living there we apployed American studens to help run the pubcrawl. But people often only study for 6 months at a time and you create bonds with people just to see them leave.
After 2 years of great expirience and friendships I kind of started feeling depressed and didn't feel like investing in new people anymore, so I decided hand over the Pubcrawl to my mate Jeroen and go back to Denmark.
