Great channel! I've done this passage to New Zealand 16 times, a couple of times from Tonga mostly from Fiji and Vanuatu but I've never stopped at McNervous reef! It's an appropriate name for Minerva reef, as this passage can be the most challenging for people crossing the Pacific and folks will stop there fretting the notorious open ocean passage to come. Sometimes better to just tackle it in one go! on a slowish boat one Gale is almost guaranteed!

The American Pit Bull Terrier is a breed that has been banned in New Zealand since 1992. This breed is known for its strength and aggression, and it is considered a high-risk breed. Pit bulls are responsible for a significant number of dog attacks around the world, which is why they are banned in New Zealand. Also banned are Dogo Argentino, Brazilian Fila, Japanese Tosa, and Perror de Presa Canario. Australia also banning these breeds this year. In Australia you can own these breeds but are liable for the following:
If your dog charges or harasses a person or animal, you have to pay a fine of $44,000.
If you are caught selling or advertising a restricted dog, you will be fined $16,500.
If you fail to comply with control requirements, you have to pay a fine of $16,500.
If you fail to have a valid annual permit, you have to pay a fine of $6,600.
If you are found encouraging your dog to attack, your dog will be seized, and you may have to face imprisonment for 5 years, or you’ll be fined up to $77,000.
