Simple? Her musicality gives her the ability to make these great improvisations and ad libs when it's time to sing live but her music and discography is far from simple. If anything she does a whole lot and in very challenging ways, in comparison to her contemporaries and many singers/vocalists in mainstream music.

I’ve listened to undub and she did this LIVE it was enhanced in studio to cut out the audience. I pointed out that this specific vocal actually *IS* a studio-recorded one since it's a dubbing of the performance. I even emphasized that by very clearly saying "this is a *studio* -dubbed version..."
I get why she recorded Hero more straight-forward, but what she'd do with it live was great!
