Hello from the Netherlands. A week of two ago I found out about the existing of podcasts and entered a lovely world of sharing the same hobby. A few days ago I found your chanel: hoe lucky am I! I love the way you make your podcasts: the technic explanations, the history behind some works and the interviews, Thank you só much for sharing all this. Ofcourse I have subscribed; I want to see and learn more *Ü*. Greetings (and sorry about mistakes in writing....) Marjan
I love this podcast! There's music, history, geography etc. You've basically got all the arts and sciences covered in one. Thank you for all that you do!
So lovely to see you in North Wales again- my family have farmed Welsh Mountain Sheep in Sonwdonia for generations and I now have a flock of Badger Face sheep whose wool I'm spinning for knitting. Fruity Knitting is a fantastic podcast - keep up the great work - Da Iawn Chi! A mwynhwech eich gwyliau x x
Hi Anita. You can see how much we love it here. I have been really curious about the breeds of the sheep here - have to do some research. Thanks for your feedback, and a Happy New Year!
Hey Dog! It was great to get Jackie into an episode in his environment. We have tried putting him on the couch (he doesn't usually get to go on the furniture) but he's just silly. Thanks for watching. A + A.
You are all such a lovely family! It was great to also hear from lovely Madeline. Thanks for taking us with you on vacation :). But...you need lined, fingerless mittens with a cover! Poor you freezing ones :) Happy New Year! Hugs, viv
Thank you for your podcasts during the year & showing us around the world. My youngest daughter is an entomologist & she would just love that cardigan. Happy New Year to you all.
Hi Lyn. That is so cool! I do like coming across these incidental (non-knitting) topics, so I am glad that we now all know the word entomology. Thanks for watching and have a great year.
Happy New Year to you as well. So lovely to see your beautiful daughter and Pup as well. Lovely scenery and I remember when I was playing that piece on the piano.- Bach's Fugue #2 in C minor. Holiday hugs from KimmyZ (Rav ID)
Perfect podcast if not for the chilly fingers! I always learn so much from you folks. Thanks to Madeline for being on as well. Best wishes for a wonderful holidays and. Fabulous new year.
A year ago, I swatched an experiment of 4-stitch ribbing with variegated colour yarn. I-too used the knit to keep the blips at bay, but, in this swatch, I laughed at how often I had to include this method, and how completely wonky it looked when done. The experiment was a complete success... it showed the limitations of colour change vs structure change in this singular regard. I’ve been tempted to do a full tunic in this technique. It certainly would keep onlookers’ eyes busy!!
New subscriber. By the time you read this post you will have completed and sewn sleeves into hiking jacket. I love the jacket sleeveless as it shows off the firebird sweater. Love the shows. Also, it's great to see nature incorporated into the show. Very nice touch.
Lovely scenery! Happy New Year to you all...thank you for having the classiest knitting podcast out there. It is truly a breath of fresh air to see the intricate designs that you present on the cast! Looking forward to more in 2017. 🎉🍾🥂
Hi, Happy New Year, thank you for sharing your vocation with us. 2016 I toured Wales it is lovely never made it to the top of Mount Snowdon due to time scale but after seeing this I will be back even if it's to walk round the lake. Happy holiday and knitting. X
Hi Jackie. We went back on the Pyg track a few days later but turned around before the final climb to the summit because it was too icy - particularly with the dog running round after the birds. But it is a beautiful track even if you don't make the top. You can also do a loop - the Pyg and Miners' tracks start at the same spot and meet up before the final climb, so you can walk up one and down the other. Cheers, A, A, M + J.
Thank you so much for taking us along on your holiday and giving us a glimpse of that beautiful place. I enjoy your podcasts so much and always learn something new. Happy New Year to your lovely family!!
We were talking about Tasmania on the way back. I did the Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair track a long time ago (-; Totally stunning. Would love to get back there sometime. So Happy New Year to Tasmania. Andrew.
Marvelous. I have a photo from that lake from higher up. If I can find it I will post it. Great to see Jack too, he is just like our Izzy, a grey poodle. How do you keep him from chasing sheep or rabbits? You look frozen! Andrew his vest is wonderful. Thanks for the knitting tip and the extreme knitting.
Love your podcasts. I came back to this episode to comment, because I just ran across a reference to Snowdonia in the historical novel I'm reading and learned that it also has a much older name: "Eryri," meaning The Haunt of Eagles. You probably already knew that and maybe even mentioned it (my memory is not great), but I thought it was a cool thing to share if not.
hello from Cape Cod USA...a FYI for you ...there is a series about Henry VIII and all about the fashions, history, architecture etc...it is produced by BBC...I have been enjoying it on public television this week but have actually accessed it on YOU TUBE in the past...I also have had very good luck using CustomKnit, and highly recommend it to everyone! maybe amy would do a guest spot? thanks for your entertaining podcast...
I'm new to your podcasts. I've watched 3 or 4. Thoroughly enjoying! I'm itching to know why "Fruity Knitting"? Sorry if this is a newbie question. I looked a few places (website and early episodes) hoping to find the answer.
So wonderful to see Madeline be a part of your podcast! She is such a beautiful bit of both of you two...put together A wonderful knitty family!
Hi Susan. Madeleine is wonderful - we are appallingly proud of her (-;
The Firebird jersey looks perfect under Andrew's sleeveless hiking jacket
And it's really warm too - which was good on that day. I can still remember it!
It's always fun when Jack makes a guest appearance.
How exciting! A bit of travelogue, a lot of knitting, good looking presenters and a doggy! Love it!
Thanks, Maggie. Jackie enjoyed that episode, too!
