LAVENDER & DREAMS: Winter Sheepshead Fishing + Underwater GoPro

- Sheepshead are plentiful in the winter here in NC but they are kind of finicky on what they will eat. The smallest ones may fall for fresh shrimp, but the larger fish are going to want sandfleas, mud crabs, or sea urchins. Black Drum will eat fresh shrimp if you can keep it away from the trash fish. Days are getting longer and warmer weather is on the way. Get out there and be somebody!

Catch Mud Crabs under "stuff", below the high tide line (WEAR GLOVES, oyster cuts are nasty). WARNING: The purple crabs with spots and striped legs are stone crabs and are illegal to possess.
Fresh bait matters. Good luck out there!

awesome seeing you with your boys catching fish.
Awesome video, I enjoy them very much!!
Nice to see a dad spending time with his sons, that'll keep them out of trouble, and give them something to always remember you by.
So I was watching a different RUclipsr before your video and he got a sheep didn’t show us how much it measured. So I I click your video next and you you show it huge on the screen haha.. nice. Great video got my subscription 👍🏼
Welcome Sir
Another great video!
I have to say. I absolutely love seeing family time together enjoying the outdoors. This video is just great.
You still need a mud crab ID video.

Always love your videos..The Go Pro scenes were fantastic..Thank you
Thanks for another great video. I can't decide if I like the fishing or the underwater video best.
Great video and great fish! I just subscribed….I started my own RUclips fishing channel a couple of months back and I really enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work!
Sick tautog !!! My favorite eating fish in the ocean. Great video as always. Love to see you out with the kids.
So awesome you have that winter fishery. Wow looks so warm compared to the frozen north. The underwater footage is the bomb!
Man luv the under water footage keep the videos coming l
Love the content! Nice sheepshead and tautogs! We were in that spot the week prior and caught nothing! Granted it was later in the day and the tide was ripping through there. Awesome family time! Keep up the great content!
Video was COOL !!!!! Lot of fish down there. THANKS
Are you still fishing out of Moorehead city NC?
Just fished that general area on Saturday and pulled three togs 16"-19" and the boat next to me pulled up a couple, seems like it's a better year for them. Tastiest fish in our waters!
Glad to hear that, yes they are one of my favorites also.
I look forward to your videos and have told my friends to check them out. Hope to see you out there someday.
You are the man, awesome underwater footage
What kind of underwater camera is that
GoPro
I need to get out the coast where it’s a little warmer great clips 👍
Your son's expression when you said ''Lavender and Dreams'' made me explode in laughter.

@@offkilterfishing- lots of boys don't have a good Pop to teach them to grow up to be men. Still the best time of my life was raising our 3. Tight lines.
What size rods do u use and weight
Poor kid he pulls out a little fish and his dad goes nope to small
Great video glad to see your boys catching a few sheeps .
I can never see a depth finder on your boat . Do you use one to locate which pilings the fish are on ?
I don't use one, I just fish spots until I find the fish or wait them out. They are always on the move with the tide and if you use the right bait they will find it. My buddy actually gave me a really nice depth finder years ago, I just haven't hooked it up.
My boys hooksets are personal 😂
Great Fishermen.
How long were you on the water this day? Looks like a good trip.
We fished 8:30 to 3:30. It was steady most of the day.
@@offkilterfishing that's awesome. Looks like good weather for it
I've heard that oysters work good, have you ever tried them
