I’m in 8th grade, and my history teacher assigned us an assignment for Black History Month where we pick 4 out of 16 videos/articles where we had to do 3-5 sentences on what we learned. And one of them that I did was History of Black History Month and I learned why it is in February and the history behind it which I found quite cool
I didn't know that Black history month is in October in the UK - it's also in February here in Canada! I'd been curious because I've seen a museum curator on Twitter talking about LGBTQ history month and not Black history month - turns out he's based in the UK, and the months are swapped! In Canada, LGBTQ history month is in October. Also, I didn't know why February was chosen - thanks for teaching me! :)
What is some good content for my 2nd and 4th grade girls to learn and read this month? I try to keep our personal library pretty inclusive but would love some recommendations.
Okay, I haven’t even watched the video yet, but I feel slightly offended that Jessica isn’t content with having *my* birthday month as their month. You’ve already taken so much away from me, oh my god, when will you be content! /lh /hj Edit: good video, btw. I *guess* I wouldn’t mind sharing a month with Jessica, but only if that woman gets her priorities under control! /lh
Blair why do you wear a potato sack on your head? Nation of Islam is not actually being a muslim it's just a nutty role play, in fact a jew made the whole thing up. PS there is no such thing as the mother plane.

I didn’t know that Canada and the UK also observe a Black History Month! I’m so glad you’re making longer videos on RUclips now ✨❤️
Thank you for educating! So happy you are doing RUclips! 💜💜💜

There is no lgbtq history month, and it's unnecessary to have something so stupid.
Love the longer format! I learned that different countries have their Black History months at different times.

Thank you for this video!! So informative, and I'm hoping to learn more this month :)
the absolute cutest intro! I love!
And all this time I thought we were just given the short end of the stick lol this reason for it being in February makes more sense
thank you for this! I learned so much new stuff, and I thank you for this!
In the UK our black history month is in October!

I LOVE IT! The cutest intro and outfit!!! I just live for Blair Imani she is an icon!

We have Black Friday?
I think I might be a bit dyslexic bc I read “Get blacker” in the title 😳

How about acknowledging blacks throughout the year? Also don't bring up lgbtq, it has nothing to do with this.
