I got a chance to interview Chaka in 1993 on her front porch in Los Angeles for 2.5 hours. What an incredible woman. And sexy, too. ❤️ I will NEVER forget it. It truly was an honor.

I'm going to chime in and say that it is also my favorite part as well. Growing up in 80's MS (Bolivar Co.), there was a club song that used to play with that part in it. I had bought this red concert tee shirt on the front it said "Rufus" and on the sleeve it said "Featuring" and on the back it said "Chaka Khan" with the infamous Chaka mouth.

I'm going to chime in and say that it is also my favorite part as well. Growing up in 80's MS (Bolivar Co.), there was a club song that used to play with that part in it. That's how I was introduced to the song unknowingly. So when I heard the full version of this song, I had that "aha" moment...lol. So glad I get to hear it over and over again.
