Met him one time with his family and recognized him in a huge crowd with his sunglasses on and he saw me, but I didn't want to expose him. He walked up to me and shook my hand and tipped his sunglasses just enough to look me in the eyes and say "Thank you for not exposing me" and shook my hand.

I was an Executive Assistant for a utility company and worked for Mr. Costner (Kevin’s Dad). I was about 20 years old and maybe Kevin was 25. He came in to see his Dad before he was a movie star. Man, every girl in the office was speechless with mouth’s open. He was gorgeous. The sweetest guy ever and raised well by wonderful parents. His Dad was a very handsome older man (from my 20 year old perspective). He was a class act. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Legend. His movies..Dances With Wolves, Hidden Figures, Love of the Game, Bull Durham, Man of Steel, Open Range, Field of Dreams, JFK, Rumor Has It, The Untouchables, No Way Out and I'm sure I've left some out! I went to a concert last year performed by his band, Kevin Costner and the Modern West, wonderful. He thoroughly enjoyed entertaining a live audience, he had great stories and the music was wonderful. Now we have Yellowstone..and the doc I saw on Yellowstone. He's legend, we are the same age and his birthday is a 6 days before mine. Happy Birthday soon to be to Kevin Costner.

When I see Kevin Costner, I always think of "Dances with Wolves" and "Bull Durham." Of course, I loved "For Love of the Game" and "Field of Dreams" too !! Love anything Kevin is in !! This was when Compton was predominantly white, all the way to the 50's/60's. Pete Rozelle (former NFL commissioner) and Hanna of Hanna/Barbarra (Flinstones & Jetsons creator)graduated from Compton High. George H. Bush first State Department gig in Los Angeles gave him a home in the CPT.

In the late 1940s through 1962 there was a famous Country Western radio and TV show broadcast from Long Beach Blvd in Compton called the Town Hall Party, it featured such Country legends as Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Merle Travis and dozens more.
The one and only true Robin Hood and Postman. One of my all time favorites! I'm 27 years old, FYI. This man gave me an amazing childhood.

I remember when I first watched dances with wolves(I liked his movies before anyway it's something epic to the movies he played),I was so astonished from the scenery the direction of the movie,the camera shots,the music,the plot.
