This interview clearly shows why Craig was the best of the talk (chat) show hosts. Interesting, funny at times, excellent flow to it. Craig, you are truly missed.
This appearance has a back story. If you remember his Britney Spears monologue, he mentions that he met Kevin at a party, and Kevin was pissed that Craig had taken a cheap shot at him recently. But Kevin decided to be a gentleman and interacted professionally. Craig said that that's when he decided to not take cheap shots at people. I think that's why Craig is so happy here. It's let him know that his amends to Kevin worked.
I noticed that!! This is my first time watching this interview [didn't know about the back story] I noticed Craig was pretty professional with Kevin VERY VERY respectful the most I've ever seen him, he usually makes them laugh with funny awkward questions and stuff. Craig would've totally joke about Kevin's stories but he hold back a lot.
I was wondering whether this was after the wonderful speech where he is sorry for mocking Costner and defends Britney’s right to not be shamed. Amazing on Alcoholism, so candid.
I wish Craig would get another talk show going, preferably one without the commercial interruptions. Without breaks like what Graham Norton has, his interview styles, humor, and acting games that he does would be absolute gold.

No-one would call Connery the best actor of all time in terms of his pure acting skills, but godamn there has never been anyone who commands the screen as much as him.. didn't matter who else was next to him, Connery would steal your thunder... I've met many actors and famous people over the years but I had the fortune to meet Richard Gere and Connery at a bakery in a tiny town in Wales for the film First Knight years ago... A lot like Unforgiven, were the tension builds throughout the movie, and you can’t wait to see these badasses in action. Let me go eat some rich chocolate for the first time, before I have my epic gunfight battle.
The best!
Michael Jeter reading the letter he leaves with him kills me.
I remember seeing him for the first time in Silverado and immediately thinking "wow, who is that guy ?! he is great !" I liked him so much that a few years later I named my son after him.
He was already established when I saw Silverado the first time and it ranks as one of my favorites. Another little known, No Way Out.
@@SGTJDerek "No way out" is a great movie ! And I have to admit that I was floored by the final twist ! I saw it when it was released, ages ago. There's another one, "Revenge", a Tony Scott movie that was also quite good.
@@sylviecharlois1165 100% agree. Haven't seen either of these in way too long. I feel like he was overshadowed a little by some Australian dude named Mel. They both have a varied body of work with multiple Awards but Kevin had that one Turkey that I actually like.
@@SGTJDerek which "turkey" would that be ? I have to say that I really liked Revenge, but maybe it could be coynted as something of a turkey, it's quite over the top, like many Tony Scott's movies yet I did enjoy it.
I also really like the "infamous" Waterworld, which did not deserve all the scorn heaped on it. I have seen both the original release and the long version which had quite a few funny moments.
@@sylviecharlois1165 That's the one. I enjoyed it too.
“Sean watched his money very, very carefully”
Hello, he’s a Scot for Christmas sake.
And a Virgo.
Love his laugh!
I love this host. He’s the last nice guy standing.
I keep thinking about how Craig mentioned Kevin Costner in his Britney rant.
He is my favorite actor love that Kevin Costner

I liked him in The Postman and The Highwaymen
he was also good in the movie a perfect world
I adore Kevin’s laugh 😂 I love this show, this appearance, Kevin gets to laugh so much! He is such a humble, hardworking man, a real man! Love you Kevin 🌹
Craig is very relaxing to be around. He's very nice, too. He knows how to pull the stories out of interviewees. I love Gene Hackman, too. Kevin has great stories to tell. Kevin commands great respect and is very easy to establish repoire with people. He knows how to balance his professional roles and is super smart about using patience in his different roles. It is cute- his story about his parents. I am a great cheerleader with my sons and it is cute. It embarrasses them.
Hello 🤩
Thank you for your utmost love and support 😘🥰
I miss Craig... his show was so awesome!
The Body Guard, Dances with Wolves, and so many others.
Silverado is really one of my all-time favorite movies, but there's not a movie of his that i've seen that i didn't love or at least really like. talent, looks, brains, class, and as far as i know no weird sht like scientology or scandals. and not "too big" to be on this show. makes me want to watch the ones i haven't seen and re-watch the ones i have.
Revenge and A Perfect World are my favourites.
For his acting, A Perfect World at the top.
Great interview.
Craig's show was the best!
Great interview
That's cool that he let his Dad fire that shot in the movie!
Hello 🤩
Thank you for your utmost love and support 😘
I agree Sean Connery and so many other great stars have been forgotten. But Kevin is MY star. And how he talked of Princess Diane and Sarah! The respect...his movies- is there a bad one? I'm 69 so I've seen probly all,
Did not know that... wild stuff..
Kevin, you have a type A personality babe, no way could you be slowed down! I love your laugh!!! This appearance and your Johnny Carson appearance are by far two of your best!
What a lovely man, KC is.
Costner was originally set to be in Django Unchained as a brutal nasty character named Ace Woody - a slave trainer - on the Candyland plantation (you can read it in the original script). He had to drop out, and Kurt Russel was then signed on for the role but then also had to drop out. The character was cut and subsequently mixed into Walton Goggins' character, Billy Crash. Would loved to have seen Kevin Costner in a Tarantino film; but it's not too late yet...
Kevin Costner's parent stories are lovely. 🥰

Kevin Costner always has the best stories! LOL
Costner, my god this man has provided significant portion of my entertainment in my childhood and beyond.
No way out

The Draft Day is my favorite
That is so cool how we never heard about that scene and it’s his dad .. how did something like that stay silent for 30 years lol ..
Tin Cup, Bull Durham and A Perfect World are three of my favourite films with Costner in.
Bravooo Kev, non cambiare mai !!!👏🍀👌
Sean Connery is the only man old enough to be my grandfather that I crushed on. I hope I meet him in heaven.
Love both these guys.
Wow. Craig is so charming. I don't think I have ever seen Kevin laugh like that in an interview like this. This is not only amazing, it is really fun.
Kevin is a neat man. And Craig just opened doors for Kevin to waltz right on through. Holy shit. Craig, is good.
3000 miles to graceland!
Late late show is one of the best.Awsome!!!!
Two very handsome guys.
♡JFK.
Oh that movie was bad ! Felt sorry for Elvis watching it.
Kevin tells it like it is. That is why I like him.
Hello 🤩
Thank you for your utmost love and support 😘🥰🥰😘😘
I didn't see Kevin being annoyed or agitated with Craig.....I did read some previous comments....Obviously the strain, dislike, anger & hatred between Mr Kostner & Mr Connery and others escaped me..........
Yvonne Rocchio no, not annoyed; I didn't get that either. I think he's just reserved in general but he was game and rolled with it all. They have a slight past beef of sorts so maybe that's what people are getting?
Doesn't matter what age you are , you're always your mum's baby.
Watching this show with James Corden make me miss Craig Ferguson a million times more!!!
Corden is soooo annoying
The closest to an American TV Graham Norton.
Hello 🤩
Thank you for your utmost love and support 😘
Kevin is so freaking hot.
FYI, Kevin Costner strongly disliked Craig because of some jokes he made about him, Craig said that himself in one of his monologues, good to know that they patched things up for Kevin to at least appear in this show :)
I was just thinking about that too,but since TLLS ended in 2015,i'm thinking this is before.
The "Britney Spears" monologue.
caaaatchup did he actually ever say he "strongly disliked" him though? Or is it just the thing from the Britney monologue? because he obvs wasn't into that but it doesn't imply it was super personal either.
