I'll briefly share my recovery experience. Car accident with 60 seconds loss of consciousness. First 3 days were awful. I was like a newborn baby, head pounding, all light & sound untolerable, family cooked my meals ( eggs, steak, chicken & sushi) Day 7 things got much better, still mild pain & nerve tingling. Day 10 light resistance training and walking. Day 13, walked around park, light basketball. I'll be back to running intensely and boxing in a month. Don't sweat it guys. Eat well, rest well, keep moving
Can u please give your diet ? I am having head and neck injury before 15 days due to that I am not able to sleep by facing upwards. If I sleep upwards means I am getting numbness in my face and whole body. Also, I really dont know how to get rid of that swelling at the pillow position of the head. If I sleep side ways means my lower back is hurting and having both legs pain. Your valuable inputs make me to recover early from this injury. Thank you
@benaziraziz66 Eat effectively, sushi for example has everything you need and nothing you don't (exclude the soy sauce). Protein: chicken breast, stew beef Carbs: potatoes, pancakes on the weekend (real maple syrup) Produce: strawberries, pineapple, spinach, asparagus Brain foods: avocado, salmon, yogurt, kombucha, quality cheeses You must excercise! This tells the body to grow!
🧡💛💚 I'm learning the subtle art of resting and saying 'no', for the first time in 3 years.❤ I have gone back to the gym, and I am running again, but need recovery time to make up for it. I meditate in between routines and do pulse checks. Meditation is now medically required by my physician.
Sleeping is the only thing that has helped me. I got a concussion yesterday and have slept a total of 15 hours since and am finally starting to not feel nauseous and like my head is going to explode. I can actually watch videos on my phone now and am not so confused. Sleeping is all that is helping.
I just got hit between the eyes with a good size tree log. Threw it in the truck bed and it bounced back, scraped my skin. I more than likely have Avery mild concussion due to the injury sight so I truly appreciate your help here. I’m ok so far thank God.
Concussion is very individualized, I have had several minor concussions, from my own experience moving very slowly and careful as opposed to do nothing makes a difference. You are very right that you may be experiencing nausea, major headaches, but I’ve learned by recording your movements, get a lined note book or journal with the dates and write down to your best ability your symptoms and rate them, then you can keep track of each activity you do whether you are just trying to get something out of the fridge to putting on your shoes, it’s very difficult at first but you will have a record for yourself and your doctor so your healthcare provider, yourself or your caregivers can help provide support and a plan for recovery.
@@mrscrystalbear Same here. I can walk in flat easily, but once outside I feel dizzy. So wonder if I can get back to meditation and stretching. I have sciatica so for me the rest in bed was tough. I have the journal as well plus I got the app recommended in the hospital it's called HeadOn.
I've seen and heard research stating BHB ketone supplements and potentially in combination with pure MCT can be useful after head injury. It would ne interesting to cover this
I’m 65 almost 66- the healing is slower than in 40’s or 50’s. I tripped up on my dog on 8/11. Kissed the concrete HARD. 2x because I saw stars and tried to get up and fell again. Now it’s November and when I’m active like I used to be the symptoms come on strong. I’m old school- keep working and you will heal yourself. Had surgery for a detached retina and the pupil in my right eye remains constantly dilated. Doctor doesn’t know why. Everything else looks good. So- eye or brain? Trying to find a traditional Medicare specialist. Good thing I like old school 😅
Hi bro, Dr. Jeffrey Peng Im'ma from (MIT) university freshmen. I've encountered a recent incident that has left me in need some advice . I wanted to share that I recently experienced a concussion 3 days ago, and unfortunately, it has occurred again in the same right side. I'm wondering, would a sudden sideways motorbike collision with a cycle at a speed of 30 km/hr., causing a forceful movement of my torso to lurch and my head in relative (lateral flexion) in the same area of the first concussion ,can it potentially cause damage to the previously concussed neurons ? very worried since i am difficulty speaking like finding right words and articulating fluently and even slight difficulty understanding words and its been 1 month no recovery? i initially have no symptoms after the incidence like nausea or dizziness , does it cause any permanent deficits or it is just temporary ? and Does this injury lead to the diminution of a handful of neurons?
Sounds like you hit your head pretty bad. Earlier this year I was rear-ended by a new driver going way too quickly, and it took several months for me to recover.
Why do make this Video full of flashy lights and effects when you know people with a concussion will watch it...? The video is made good though but these flashes are just provoking...
I’m 6 months from an accident and the brain trauma makes me feel like not me Can’t hardly function properly and my brain is constantly hurting still. Memory loss at all time high
So yesterday I did my first sparring match. Two rounds and I think I got a concussion. After the match, I had a headache 4-6 hours and today I still have one but it is very small. I also played at match of soccer this morning. After the sparring I was confused and today my vision is a little messed. Is this a problem. I wanted to know if this is bad and will cause any long lasting effects. I haven’t gone to doctor because of money, so I don’t really know. Please give advice
Hi my english is not so good, understand some but not verything , thank for informatin , i have question i attack head on metal may be 1 year ago, cant rest all time and make some get better for, when i attack head i saw 4 color becouse of atack, what can i doo now i have geadick also now? thanks
I thought my concussion got a lot better, but then I got super stressed out at work, to an extreme point and it felt like my symptoms were twice as bad as when I first got it, and now it's taking a little longer for me to recover, do you think stress was the reason for this?
Sounds like you have post concussion syndrome healing when it comes to the brain and feeling better again takes tons of time. Everyone is different i have had more concussions then prob most people and the healing process has been different every time. Once i was over a year with symptoms and other times just a few weeks or months . No one can really give you a time on when you will feel better again but just be self aware i know work can be stressful but your going to have to learn on ways to help with your triggers. I think concussions are hands down the worst things to have cause you never know what symptoms your going to get and always need to learn new ways to cope with them every time but even my worst concussions where i thought ill never get better have gotten better. Just remember once step at a time.

Today I just hit my head accidentally on the upper right side of my head i can tell how much pain it was it's just that i felt my head hit so hard because the rock is kind a crack so i try to touch my head if there is a blood but no blood good thing and i rest and i don't wash up nor have a bathroom. I just rest but i keep massage a little my head so that i can feel how much pain is .. sorry for my bad English
Can you address the safety, or lack of, of martial arts such as Tai Quan do, to children? Is it a good sport for young kids to learn? Are there injuries to be concerned about, such as kicks to the head? Thank you.
I wouldn’t put children in Taekwondo largely because it is an ineffective martial art. However, a reasonable assumption can be made that the headgear in Taekwondo only encourages students to kick harder assuming their opponents are safe. I would put children in Muay Thai kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instead
This was pretty helpful, but you over-estimate by multitudes how much employers understand the need for support. Doctors are only just beginning to realize.
Just had my first boxing match a couple days ago and got a pretty bad concussion but ct scan says no brain bleeding 🙏🏻 all I wanna do is go to the grocery store and make soup for some reason and I don’t wanna listen to music at all 💀

Damn I’m jelly and happy for you. A drill fell 3 feet and I’ve had concussion symptoms for 2 months and just barely starting to feel better 😂

What about the medication for ongoing headache? Can you take your usual daily baby aspirin.
My doctor said no aspirin or NSAIDs ( motrin , alive, ibuprofen). He told me just Tylenol.
