  • Postpartum depression VLOG
Postpartum depression is real and often silent. With my 9-month-old baby experiencing separation anxiety and teething, I've found myself extremely stressed and overwhelmed. So, I've begun exploring ways to navigate through this challenging period.
Personally, I've found solace in moments alone with a cup of tea and a good book whenever I get the chance. I deliberately avoid screen time and scrolling through reels on my phone.
I've also found relief by utilising technologies such as a robot vacuum cleaner, robot mop, and robot mower to assist with chores. Seriously, they took a lot off my shoulders and allowed me extra time to spend either quality time with the kids or have some alone time.
Seeking support from family and friends has also been immensely helpful. Slowly but surely, I'm starting to emerge from the shadow of postpartum depression. I felt compelled to share my story, as I know others may be going through something similar. Remember, you are not alone.
❤️This video is sponsored by RoboUP, and I received a free product for an honest review.
Massive thanks to RoboUP team for the opportunity to collaborate!
    Key features:
    ○ Able to auto map, if your lawn boundaries are clear and the location has a good signal
    ○ Electrically adjustable blade disc
    ○ Parallel mowing: greatly improves efficiency compared to random mowing
    ○ Cut-to-Edge: uses a cutting disc offset design to cut the deep grass on the edge of the lawn, improving the cutting experience.
    ○ RoboUP can recognize living beings such as humans and hedgehogs. It will actively avoid them during obstacle avoidance to prevent any harm.
    ○ For regular obstacles, RoboUP can accurately detect their contours and can mow along the edges of the obstacles, ensuring complete coverage and avoiding any missed spots around the obstacles.
○The mower stops automatically when the mower is tilted at an angle greater than 35 degrees or completely overturned.
    ○ The mower will return back to the charging station if it starts to rain.
    ○ IPX6 waterproof design allows you to directly wash the mud off RoboUP with water.

Thank you for sharing. We just got through the first year with our first baby and wow, not only was I not expecting just how exhausting it is (no matter how many parents try to warn you!) but I wasn’t expecting how hard I would be on myself to be perfect. I cried when you said you feel like your constantly cleaning and preparing meals. I’m so glad you are posting realistic aspects of motherhood. You’re doing amazing things every day - including those moments of rest ❤️

I have been going through the same thing since my little girl was born. There are days or weeks when I feel like I'm always doing the same thing over and over again in a loop. There have been days when I didn't feel like a person, but rather like another device in the house. And as you say, it is a phase, which will pass, that's for sure, but we have to take some time to breathe, to disconnect and ask for help if we need it. If we don't take care of ourselves we won't be able to take care of others as we would like.

Hazie, thank you for making this video. I know the feeling and I think sharing it can help mothers realize they aren't alone. I hope I can offer a small amount of uplift by telling you that I'm a first time mother and your videos have helped me, even before my daughter was born. Especially for practical life activities. Recently, during the transition to a floor bed, I was so nervous and stressed. Then, I saw the videos from your channel and it gave me the last bit of confidence I needed to make it happen. Now I can't imagine life without it.
You deserve a break, and I know it's hard to take one! Hopefully you will get some time soon to recharge and refresh 💕
    Congratulations on 100k!

I stopped making videos on RUclips right before having our child, to give all my strength and energy to my family and myself also. There were many moments of burn outs, but I feel like not having social media helped me stay in peace. You don’t have to quit it, that what worked for me, but make sure to take breaks when needed and ask for help from your husband. Your videos are wonderful and helpful, but your health and health of your family is a priority.

Omg, you are doing an amazing job, juggling so much. I commend you to be able to keep your house so clean in between feedings, poor sleep, making lunches etc. I only have one kid (10 month old) and my house is a mess. Cooking all his solids takes ages. And then the clean up. Have you considered using a catchy? Very handy for all the things they throw off.
You are totally way more organised. To be able to film as you go is an extra layer of complexity and it would slow down your day for set up.
So I would say thankyou for taking all this time and sharing your daily bits and bobs to us viewers.
    We just aren't organised ourselves

Hazie, I am totally relating to this.. my baby boy is 5 months old. I got my hair cut short because it was all falling out (it didnt help bubs was using it like rope..) but I'm kind of regretting it and it's knocked my confidence a little. Some days I wonder if I was feeling sad and depressed because of the lack of sleep or if it was just the daily routine... Everyday is a new day though and I tell myself this time spent with bubs won't be forever. Thanks for posting honestly and sharing something so personal it's nice to know us mama's are all going through this together!

I totally feel you.. also have a 9 month old baby boy and he’s really active and most of the time clingy. Our days at home are so monotonous like yours.. Not really sure if we have postpartum depression or this is just prolly a phase. They advice us to enjoy every moment although it’s kinda hard bec triggers come attacking everyday. More power to you!

Thank you for your honesty. I struggled in the same way and I felt so alone in it. I look at your other videos and thought maybe I created the issue by introducing screens too early, or it was Covid isolation, questioning all my decisions as a mother. I feel like watching you struggle too makes me blame and resent myself less because in my mind you look like you do everything perfectly.

Looking after young children is intense, and can feel sooo tough (and triggering, especially when sleep deprived).
Yes, it's all 'just' a phase, but when you're in the midst of it, it can seem like you'll never feel like yourself again.
Sending love to all exhausted parents everywhere.

I can relate to this feeling! I have a 3 yr old and a one month old. Even though my newborn naps for a large chunk of the day, I feel so sleep deprived since he is not sleeping through the night. I don't have that expectation at his age, but it's very tiring. Luckily my daughter has been going to a Montessori school since 18 months and she is well behaved for her age. I don't think i could do it otherwise. I love the Montessori philosophy and your videos are really great resources to learn more about it. As you know, things will get easier after the age of one, so let's both think of that as a milestone! Wishing you the best.

And the food on the floor thing, when will they invent something for that ??!! It's soooo frustrating. Good luck with this. If anything helped me it's reading, writing and seeing a therapist.

I'm so sorry you're battling PPD. I had PPD after my first and suffered through it during the pandemic shut downs. I felt so isolated and didn't recognize the thoughts in my mind. 🩵 Sending prayers and good vibes your way.

You know it actually is A LOT harder than a paid job? You have to do a lot more hours a day. Also, you don't get to sleep through the whole night. What's that system we live in?
You deserve additional support from the grown-up that is closest to you. With this, I am not saying they aren't doing anything. What I am saying is: you are currently doing far more than is humanely healthy. Please do realize that your job is as much of a job as any other and that you deserve breaks and should not be working overtime EVERYDAY. Maybe look at how you can come to a better workingshare (count it by hours)?
Btw, have you considered "slowing down the process" by working less?

The only way it got easier for me is when I started doing everything for the glory of God. It doesn’t matter what we do day to day, but whatever we do, but or small, it’s all for the Lord and that made it so much easier and more comforting for me. We don’t have to do it all. Even God didn’t finish everything in one day! You are doing great mama 💞

Yes, there is an aging process at your age too, but it can not be so serious at the age of cca. 30. You should be greatful for your life you have - healthy kids, your healthy and young body, husband/ father of your children, lots of useful, helpful devices in and around your house! Stop complainig about your life - you should see how nice it is! You are lucky!
If you do videos you have to keep it in mind you are influencing with them other people/young moms! It is a great responsibility, don‘t forget it!
Motherhood is not easy, but full of beautiful moments, try to enjoy it! 😊

Everyone has difficult moments, no need to jugde just become they also good things in their life. Talking about it helps other people feel like they are not alone. This is not "complaining" .

She does say that she is thankful for the devices. Her video influences are far better than any RUclips mum who is trying to paint this picture perfect life. And devices are not what makes us happy and everyone can have a bad phase.
