  • Leanne was a mom of four when she started experiencing irregular periods and fatigue. An examination and biopsy revealed she had cervical cancer. She went through successful treatment, but later scans showed the cancer had spread to other spots in her body. She was then diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer.
    In this conversation, Leanne discusses how she processed the diagnosis, her only treatment option, parenting with cancer and finding support.

    Rest in peace my old school friend Leanne.
    So glad I reached out to you a few months back.
    Our song was Placebo - Pure morning. We listened to it back in year 8, it was the first CD you ever owned, and it will always be our song.
    Play this song loud for Leanne.

      I was diagnosed recently Stage 3 cervical cancer, went through chemo/radiation. All clear so far, pretty brutal side effects from the radiation, but it’s the faith that carries me through.
      God bless you, stay focused on healing, there a LOT of natural things you can do as an adjunct to chemo/radiation.
      My diagnosis pushed me rapidly into connection to God. And that is by FAR, the best way I’ve been able to stay “strong” through this.
      I’m a single mom, so I have made up my mind, that I am going to live long and healthy for my children.
      Sending LOVE to everyone going through cancer… ❤
      Keep living the best you can, keep allowing yourself the time you need to heal, keep smiling as much as you can, spend every day connecting with God, Nature, the Universe…. WE ARE ALL ONE, in life and in after life.

They did a full body scan and found I also had cervical cancer at the same time. They were blown away. My nearly 4 year old just says "mummy poorly". His nursery have been great. I've just had a mastectomy which mentally I found quite hard knowing where I am. Starting chemo soon. It's the waiting between scans, apts and everything else that ticks along slowly. You're an amazing incredible person and mum. Wishing you the best xx

    This story touched me more than others because of your particular cancer. I had no symptoms but when I went in for my annual pap smear, they found precancerous cells. I then went to a specialist who did a cone biopsy and the edges were found to have no cancer in them. Nevertheless, I decided to do a partial hysterectomy taking out my uterus but my but not my ovaries. That was way back in 1991 and here I still am.
    Leanne, I am so very sorry for all you have had to endure. What a brave, strong woman you are! My prayers are with you.

PET scan every 3-4 monrhs. Multiple physical exams but am so far cured of my cervical cancer. There is hope. Do they not offer internal Brachytherapy where you live? She is only 5 years older than I am now!! And literally saw my doctor this morning and had him check my IUD and even said to him after that don't I need to have a smear done right now? And he said no because my last one in 2019 which was a combo one came back negative I'm fine to wait until next year at the 5 year mark... There's really no need to rush it..but stories like this scare me..

      Hi Barb, I am from Canada too. There was a time when I was proud of our healthcare system. No, it wasn't perfect, but it had more pros than cons. However, it has been greatly declining over the years and the whole Covid pandemic has not helped. I am not sure what part of Canada you are from, yet I hope that you advocate to get the best care possible. You are worthy and deserving of it. Understandably, you are scared. Promise to surround yourself with a supportive tribe. Find on-line support groups where you can gain knowledge from other survivors. Make sure that you are at the top of your priority list. Seek a supportive therapist. Practice self-care and self-compassion. Research the best hospitals, Specialists, latest treatments and/or trials, etc. (Or ask friends and family to do this). Ask for help. Trust in your inner wisdom. You don't have to go through this alone. The more support that you have, the more focused you will have on your healing journey. Take one small step at a time. Sending heartfelt healing hugs and loads of love. 🦋👼🕯✨️🙏💙

    And also:
    What the-- In the US: pap smears age 21+ and every 2 years at *least* . We would've zapped the lung cancer immediately--especially after a prior cancer diagnosis. It wouldn't be a guaranteed different outcome, but gawd. This outcome did *not necessarily* need to happen. Cancer doesn't "wait and see."

      Smear tests are not 100% correct. I would go to another walk-in doctor or ask your own doctor again, to do another smear in 6 months time, not one year. There’s no downside to get them done sooner to put your mind at ease.

      If it was within my power to cure cancer with a simple touch of my hand then that'd be the only thing I'd do for the rest of my life. I'd travel the world curing people and I'd ask for nothing in return. My cure would be unconditional. Jesus (we are told) had such a power but he was only willing to cure those who believed in him. Jesus was not a nice person.

    There are always some cancer cells in the body. Cancer is a situation where cells that have become autonomous begin to multiply exponentially.
    This is possible if it is provided with appropriate conditions, which a person himself creates through social, lifestyle, and eating habits.
    These are all habits that lead to the blood not being clean enough during the night for the energy and immune system to deal with cancer cells effectively.
    There will be insufficiently pure blood if:
    1) Starchy products are used in the diet, which are all grains, seeds, and potatoes.
    2) Daily, especially in the evening, you receive too little kind treatment from the people around you. It critically affects the stress response and, subsequently, metabolic processes.
    3) If you do not fast for 5 hours before bed.
    4) If you take any medication, especially before going to bed.
    If you do the opposite of these four - cancer should not emerge.

    • @ghostlyMostly1
      @ghostlyMostly1 Год назад +5

      Honestly it really depends on the cancer. There is some evidence that suggests breast cancer might use an amino acid in animal protein to become resistant to medication and recur. Cancer will also use any carbohydrate to proliferate,not just sugar. So, Sugar might make it grow more quickly, but having no sugar doesn't mean you won't get cancer.

    • @lks6248
      @lks6248 Год назад

      @@ghostlyMostly1 , carbohydrates are just complex sugars and break down into sugars quickly in the body. I would also say that while there’s no guarantee of avoiding cancer the western diet of highly processed food, high carb and high sugar hugely increases the risk of many kinds of cancer, not to mention things such as chronically low levels of vitamin D. There are areas of the world where breast cancer, for example, is a very RARE disease. Unfortunately we are not beating cancer, but we are missing a great deal of simple measures on the risk prevention front.
