I just got a medium depth peel today and I was a little nervous that it was really going to sting/burn but I barely felt anything. Just a tiny bit of burning. But it had numbing stuff in it. It’s been 3 hours and so far I am just a tiny bit pink. It almost looks like I didn’t have one. I wonder how the peeling will be when it happens. Good thing I am a stay at home mom! Lol
Hi. I did a 20% tca peel 2weeks and my face refused to peel InSheets. I tried it again last night and my face looks burnt and swollen. Since it didn’t work. I plan on doing a lactic acid peel in 7 days. I wanted to remove a white spot on my face as well as acne scars and sun damage.
Your skin is not going to “peel in sheets” with a 20% TCA peel. It’s not even close to being a high enough percentage. That should only be done in office and takes an extremely high % of TCA or Phenol (I’m talking like 50-80% ) Do not EVER try to do it at home you can cause permanent burns to your skin . I’m an aesthetician and even I wouldn’t try that at home. I only trust a doctors hands at that point. Also you need to give your skin time to heal between peels or your skin won’t know whether it’s coming or going.
I hate going to a derms office for treatments and having the nurse or technician do the treatments...twice I've had my skin ruined..once with laser the other with fractora...I'm still healing yrs later. Never again.
I have visible capillaries around my nose. Does this mean my skin is thin in that area and if yes, should I avoid chemical peels or just avoid having it done on that area?
I've been microneedling and doing chemical peels for 14 years since the age of 40. I can now tolerate a 50% tca peel with no problem. I wouldn't recommend anyone else trying this strength though. Start off low.
Have a nice day Dr. Dray, the more I get to know you, you are so beautiful outside as you are inside 💚 Btw eucerin has any cream that is like the Cerave night renewing cream? I Dont think so, just curious because the Cerave is not avaliable here. Thank you!
I did a TCA 30 percent. One pass on my face and neck. Great result overall but I’ve noticed my neck area developed tiny skin tags. No one notices them except me when I’m applying serum. Can you explain why this happened?
Thanks for the great tutorial! On some websites I am reading that you need to dilute the TCA with water, this will make it have less side effects. Should I do this? Or just apply the TCA solution by itself? I am currently using a 15% solution. Thanks!

@@DrDrayzday may you give options cream with low glycerin ingredient, because my rosacea gets dryer with glycerin
Im a darker pigmentation and i have done 30% peel at home for years.
30% or higher is not recommend for melanin rich skin.
7%, 10%, 13%, 15% with passes will work and is recommend for melanin skin.
Just what I needed to see- been considering a Peel but unsure of which to chose. Thank you!
This was great and highly informative. Thanks Dr. D!!!!
New subscriber here. I just came to say your awesome! I love your personality and how you talk. I always learn so much from you. At some point, I’m going to binge watch all your videos.
Ouh the light purple color on you is awesome 😍
Yes, it looks great on her and she's radiant
Great information! I didn't know all the different TCA peels. Thank you
Thanks for watching
Do you recommend TCA peels for individuals with olive skin prone to hyperpigmentation?
I have olive skin and have been doing tca peels at 15% for 5 years with great results
Forget Acetone. Using a Glycolic gel 30% or so for 30min and then wipe down with Witch Hazel. Just a good at smoothing/cleansing and leave the Acetone to removing paint overspray.
Definitely provided education for a discussion with my dermatologist. Thank you soooo much.
My face hurts just hearing about this. I hope I never need one! But at least I know the real deal details on what to expect if I ever do. And in the meantime, I'm going to go order more sunscreen!
Lol
By day 3 you’re going to wonder if they swapped out the TCA with reptilian tonic :o
@@austinq3151 I told everyone that I am going to be a snake after my chemical peel and not to laugh at me! 😄
@@austinq3151 Lmao!! :)
Hi, Dr. Dray! What other laser treatment is good for acne scar? Thanks.
If you do a search, dr dray acne scars, you'll get a number of videos including treatments.
CO2 Fractional Ablative Laser.
Does it help boosting collagen production?
Yes it does
happy Friday guys xo enjoy
Happy Friday
Thank You!! Happy Friday to You Too!! Have a Great Day!! Xo
Awesome tip about the dry ice!
@Dr. Dray would love to see a video like this about Plasma Fibroblast skin tightening treatments.
I hate going to a derms office for treatments and having the nurse or technician do the treatments...twice I've had my skin ruined..once with laser the other with fractora...I'm still healing yrs later. Never again.
What happend? I did laser and I think ir got worse too.
I have visible capillaries around my nose. Does this mean my skin is thin in that area and if yes, should I avoid chemical peels or just avoid having it done on that area?
Dr. Dray, why isn't TCA used on common warts?
YAY an other video. Love you Dr dray 😍❤
Which peel works best for melasma for skin of colour?
Dr. D - Do you have any recommended supplement brands? I sometimes wonder if the vitamins etc I am taking actually have what they say they do.
See her videos on supplements. She has a few.
I've been microneedling and doing chemical peels for 14 years since the age of 40. I can now tolerate a 50% tca peel with no problem. I wouldn't recommend anyone else trying this strength though. Start off low.
Happy weekend Dr Dray..see you tomorrow x💙🤩
Thanks for the video. Can we do spray tan as usual after tca?
Dr. Dray, what do you think about Morpheus8 for saggy jowls and under chin?
Have a nice day Dr. Dray, the more I get to know you, you are so beautiful outside as you are inside 💚 Btw eucerin has any cream that is like the Cerave night renewing cream? I Dont think so, just curious because the Cerave is not avaliable here. Thank you!
Where are you, if you don't mind me asking, because I think I saw some at Walgreens.
Check out her video, the 10 best skin care products from Eucerin.
I did a TCA 30 percent. One pass on my face and neck. Great result overall but I’ve noticed my neck area developed tiny skin tags. No one notices them except me when I’m applying serum. Can you explain why this happened?
Is a peel better than laser treatment for scars, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation? Which is more effective?
sometimes it takes a combination of both things to get the best results...it varies depending on the type of scar
Happy Friday Dr. Dray!
Same to you!
Thanks for the great tutorial! On some websites I am reading that you need to dilute the TCA with water, this will make it have less side effects. Should I do this? Or just apply the TCA solution by itself? I am currently using a 15% solution. Thanks!
So GLA oral supplements build a better skin barrier? Happy Friday, Dr Dray!
I Definitely Wish You, Dr Dray, Practiced In My Area. I would be elated to be your patient! I classify You as My Dermatologist, in any event. Thank You For Sharing The Wealth Of Your Knowledge❣️💐
Very interesting subject! Happy Friday!
Happy Friday
Would you recommend getting a tca peel at the same time as getting microneedling done ? I have an appointment for that procedure next week and am kind of nervous .
Happy Friday, Dr. Dray
Same to you!
Could you do a video about celery juice? It seems to work for me for acne and psoriasis and rosace. Just wondering the science behind it if any.
I did one 1 week ago by myself. Lol it stung and then it peeled off by the 3rd day. It actually removed some of my blemishes compeletly. Still gonna do a second one. Hopefully it removes some of the small scarring.
Thank you! I was so curious about this. Could you do one of these for the CO2 laser also? I
Great suggestion!
@@DrDrayzday I found this info very helpful! thanks so much for sharing it :) What would be your recommendation to treat xanthelasmas in incipient stage ? CO2 Laser or TCA peel?

I’m a nurse. You can buy PRX t33 with a license in the US or unlicensed from Canada.
Dr. Dray, what do you think regarding micro-needling that you can buy, and is it safe to do it on your own?
Hi, check her other videos on that subject, she says don’t do it
Would you be interested in checking out a few of the super affordable, amazingly-formulated drugstore skincare items from Germany? There’s a few companies here in Germany that make great products. Hello, what do you think about the Biorepeel? Thank you!
I'm just learning about this today... Is it expensive? Painful?
Thank you for explaining this. I plan to have something like that done, just made appt with pcp to get a referral. I've ALWAYS had problems with acne, and now rosacea and diet related inflammation in my skin. And I've always felt pretty hopeless about what to do. AND...now I'm 65. Wish I'd done something sooner, but it was always never convenient for down-time. Now, I'm retired, Mom passed, and no one except husband really depending on me. I'm pretty much a homebody now, and don't have to (want to) go out anymore. So, yes, I feel this is the perfect time to get something done. However, I could kick the bucket tomorrow, but oh well! I'm doing it! I will go out looking good, LOL! (I HOPE!) With regards to skin peeling during down-time, WEAR A MASK. NO ONE will question it, lol!
Very informative, thankyou!
