- This is our third episode in our series of wine cellar tours! In this video we travel across the country to take a private tour of Whitman's 5,250 bottle cellar! And we are inviting YOU along! Throughout the video we get to know Whitman as a collector and realize the breadth of his collection is unreal. With over 4,000 unique bottles... how did he even get started collecting in the first place? Find out in the video! Whitman also shares a special bottle from Washington state with us that is probably one of the most unique bottles we have ever tried! And at the end, B and Pops give Whitman a surprise bottle from Pops' collection. What bottle could it possibly be? That Whitman doesn't already have of course!!!
Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe if you want to see more wine cellar tours from us in the future! And if you or anyone you know has a wine cellar and would like to be featured on our channel- let us know!
Thank you so much for watching!! And thank you Whitman for sharing your cellar and wine knowledge with us!
Cheers!
-B & Pops
Big thanks to Whitman for letting us tour his cellar. Really enjoying these private cellars.
Another amazing episode. That’s incredible how can a person that drinks wine can accumulate so many bottles. My biggest investment was a box of Opus One 2018 and it lasted me a week 😂…sorry I’m not a collector 🤦🏻♂️
Better to have loved and lost…. Than to have never loved (an opus one)
@@Yeoldelole true that 👌🏼
If anyone is interested, there is a documentary regarding the wine from Armenia called SOMM: Cup of Salvation. It's really fascinating. If you ever need a stand-in for your amazing Somm Stacey, let me know ;)
Whitman, just email VCC directly, they have library stock, they will be glad you are such a fervent collector. Awesome cellar!
Why can’t I live next to people like this? First cellar tour was crazy…now this? Can’t wait to see what’s next. Also, props to Pops for delivering on that gift…not an easy task for someone with a collection like this.
While I admire the passion and love for wine, it still makes me sad to see all these fantastic bottles just being hoarded up, many without the intention of drinking them as he mentions himself. It's a big part of the problem with the pricing on wine today and availability, all to end up in one persons mega cellar and for the drinkers to miss out or have to shell out a large amount to try some of the revered bottles that have become scarce.
Economics 101
Far out! Having money would be a nice thing but I don't so I'm off out tomorrow picking grapes 🍇✂️ at Kent UK Gusbourne sparkling - 100 acres of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
Loved the B-roll of the guys geeking out at the end.. that's definitely what we wine lovers do 💀💀💀😭💀
I have the 1987 VCC but ullage is not so great at about upper shoulder. I can send a pic if someone gives me an email address. I have the 85 and 88 for that decade but I guess you already have them as well.
Finally another video!!!! Very impressive. I like all types of videos you guys do. While I have less than 300 bottles, mine is “broad” as well
Please come visit us in France and our 100 bottles wine fridge. The 82 La Mission Haut-Brion will be fully accepted 😎
Amazing wine cellar, great tour, and video!👌
Amazing collection! Library of world wines. If Brains from Thunderbirds had a wine collection this is it. Whitman has it well organized.
I do deeply like VCC - but more the vintages after 200'4, apart from such great vintages as from 2000, 1998, 1989 and 1986.
Great video. Incredible cellar. I’ve several red and white Garzon in my collection. Serious quality. And I’m in that camp…..I’ve a buying problem. Not a drinking problem. And I’m a collector like him. Lots of single bottles. To date I’ve had over 350 different grapes and a wine from just about every country. Great video….. thank you.
I always love your videos! I’m surprised to see he had no wines from south Africa. A lot of good wines come from there! Keep the videos Coming and greetings from the Netherlands.
Whitman is such a homie for having Garzon Tannat. I wonder what he thinks of the high end White Stones from Catena Zapata. I work in the wine industry in Virginia and we grow quite a bit of tannat. If you guys are ever in the DC area shoot me a DM!
I felt ep. 2 conversations were a bit more in depth and meaningful. But with such huge collections would be interesting to go more in depth and maybe opening a few more bottles? I feel like this guy was ready to explode with stories and information, or he came off snobby, or maybe simply too overwhelming for 17 minutes. Can't decide which.
An other fantastic Episode. Great work guys!
I knew if you were to continue with this ideal for episodes you would bump into alot of great cellars but holy crap!!!!! This guy’s wine journey is off the chart. Killer find and great episode.
Fantastic video. That is a long trip for you two (and your viewers appreciate it.) Also, your gift to Whitman of the '82 LMHB was very nice!
That burn at 2:01 completely blindsided me, paired perfectly with the warm background music and welcoming intro. Love it 😂
Great cellar tour and also very nice too see you mention there are some wines from Slovenia in Whitman's cellar! I am curious to hear which bottles he has🍷?
Keep up the content!
Always look forward to your videos. Love that you got to Seattle for this one…..well Yakima…that’s even cooler😅❤
I really love the honesty in your videos. Take it as a compliment from a Dane. I'm already looking forward to your next video! 😊
I had an '82 La Mission Haut Brion about a month ago now and it was incredible. I kept the bottle and it's sitting next to me right now lol. Looking forward to potentially seeing a video on it in the future.
Your videos keep being a highlight of the weekend! Fabulous work as usual : )
a missed opportunity by the collector to open a nice bottle of wine, which would have given the video an extra touch.
he was probably afraid that he would have to miss out on a vintage
I have tasted the 1979 Lafleur also and I liked a lot! This one can have a slight old barrel taste - but it's really great!
Ah, finally another cellar video !! Love to see those, and this is another amazing one. Really nice !! And learned a lot as well 🙏🙏🔥
You are a very lucky and wonderful family. Thank you for another great video.
I believe the "Duca what" was supposed to be Ducru-Beaucaillou.
Cellars like this are so fun, you can see the wine nerd come out in the owner, and the adventure they like to experience through tasting it all.
Don't make war, share good wine with nice people, it will make a world of difference.
It's always a treat seeing someone so passionate with something that they love. Thanks for the episode!
Ah ! Christophe Barron is an amazing vigneron ! Saw the horses at Cayuse !
GREAT tour peeps. What a fun adventure!
I enjoy these videos. Keep them coming.
Loved seeing this yall are doing a great job.
What’s his CellarTracker?
Fantastic video! Keep these coming

Sedgefield
The video I've been waiting for aaaallllll week! About to PnP a nice red to enjoy this week's episode.
@@eks007 love that! Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy 😁😁 -B
Any Whisk(e)y collection tours?
Is this a serious thing? I feel like this is a grade 10 independent study.
What’s Whitman’s Cellar Tracker @? Need to give him a follow 😂
Love this series!
