Art Garfunkle, the taller one, has the silky smooth voice and Paul Simon is considered by many to be a poetic genius. They were HUGE in the 60's and had numerous hit songs. I bought this album as soon as it came out when I was in 10th grade and played it 100's of times. It won 5 grammys including best song. You probably know the song Sound of Silence which has been covered by Disturbed and Pentatonix which was also written by Paul and was also a huge hit for SandG. I would encourage you to also listen The Boxer, Homeward Bound, Mrs. Robinson and many more. After they split up, Paul went on to write and perform many more hit songs. Also in 1981 they reunited to perform a concert in Central Park in NYC in front of 500,000 adoring fans which can be found on YT. I was touched by your reaction and wish you peace.
