This is why the album and the song won so many Grammy awards that year, even as they were dissolving the partnership and going on to solo careers. When I heard them on a reunion tour Art Garfunkel's voice just soared over the crowd in the arena. It just held the people spellbound. At the end there was almost a sigh from the crowd.

Glad you came to it. Isn't is beautiful? It really can move you to tears. This is the power of music. And now, for the most beautiful instrumental song ever performed.......Fleetwood Mac's Albatross. This is the pinnacle of Peter Greens genius. Try that one Elok. Just shut your eyes and listen to the music. Albatross can take you places. Then after that try Oh Well by the same group. Could anyone ever play guitar better? Maybe Hendrix, but it's close! Danny Kirwan is the blonde headed guy thrashing out the riffs. Note Peter Green laughing when Jeremy Spencer got the maracas out of synch!! Jeremy would never play his guitar when Peter played his. Just one of those things, but in this case it relegated him to the maracas. Even in music as good as this things happened, but still the musicians could laugh about it. Man of The World is another beautiful sad Mac song that shows the deep depression Peter was falling into that led to a drug induced psychosis that lasted for years and took Peter from the music industry. Danny suffered the same fate, and fell into destitution. All three songs are on You Tube in black and white. Such a pity. Someone wrote on a wall in London, 'Eric Clapton is God', but underneath someone else wrote, '....but Peter Green is better.' Personally I would agree, but they were both superlative guitar players, only outclassed by Jimi Hendrix.
I note that if you became rich you would like to help people. Here's something. Peter Green at the height of his psychosis became a down and out living in a park in London. He was a mess as a person, but day after day people would just walk by and not recognise or even help him. Yes, true! The man that gave us Albatross and all the other remarkable music. Then he was rescued by someone who found him and cared for him. You have a good heart. Peter would have loved you for that.
You missed the S&G song Scarborough Fair. This is another beautiful song by the duo, the most popular Western song in China.
Let's have a REAL female power singer. Grace Slick, Jefferson Airplane, Somebody to Love. Singing superlative, but the instrumental too incredible.

Can you believe they had an argument over who should sing this? And not the way you’d expect-Paul was adamant Artie should sing it. He was right of course. Ironically the massive response gave Garfunkel immense confidence he lacked prior to that, and in response to THAT Paul got rather jealous and things got more tense.
Also: if you look at it long enough, it looks like Paul is bald and Art has a really long mustache.

I want to once more recommend the music of the Beach Boys. You should examine their love songs. The first song you should listen to is "Warmth of the Sun". Then "Don't Worry, Baby". Those should inspire you to look into the rest. Next step: "Good Vibrations". I'll recommend a handful more if you "react" to those.

Two recommendation for you of songs that would resonate with someone who loves Bridge Over Troubled Water:
    (1) Cat Steven's Father and Son feature not one voice but two, both sung by Cat, a conversation between a father and son, neither one listening to the other. It is a song that grows as you grow: I heard it first as a child and related completely to the son's message; now I am a father and see the song from that light. While the live performances are great, I recommend first the studio recording, released in 1970, the same year as Simin and Garfunkel released Bridge Over Trouble Water as it includes the only overdubbing I've heard that is essential to the central tension in the song. There are many versions of the studio recording on YT but here's an especially well-recorded one: ruclips.net/video/HMDvWFKPnQE/видео.html
    (2) The other song, released in 1971, was written and performed by John Prine, whose brilliance as a songwriter went mostly unnoticed by a wider audience until he died from Covid last year. The song, Hello in There, is about the loneliness of getting old and Prine wrote it at the tender age of 24, and performed it over the decades, the song aging right along with him like a fine wine that improves with age. While there are many live recordings, one of my personal favorites is one he performed in 2001: ruclips.net/video/OVhA01J0Zsg/видео.html
Both songs are masterpieces of the heart, of the fragility and beauty of the connections we make as we each journey through life.
