  • I ran these tires on my 2010 Ducati Streetfighter 1100 (or 1098, or 1099, I'm not part of "the scene," so I don't know how people refer to it). This is with 7,900 miles, mostly freeway, but my commute home is freeway and canyon. I think it's 28 miles of Ortega Highway and about 30 or 40 miles freeway (70 miles on my morning commute via the freeway). Maybe 85 (uh, I mean 65) on the freeway, and about 65 - 70 (no, I mean 25 or 35, whatever the posted speed limit is) on all the turns on Ortega. These are on my bike I use for work, which is strictly commuting to and from work, along with from one jobsite to another. I switched back to the Roadsmart 3 and I'll upload a new video of those if I can make it thru those tires before someone hits me again. I had a 2016 Super Duke R that I ran the Roadsmart 3 tires on, and I had about 11,500 miles on those before I got hit on it. They weren't done, but they were getting close because I already had ordered a new rear for it. I'm referencing between 2 tires on 2 different bikes, so the info might not relate, but I'd say the Roadsmart 3 tires on the Super Duke R felt slipperier than the Roadsport 2 tires on the Ducati Streetfighter. I could take Ortega turns at full lean at 65 on the KTM, but even going 70 on the Ducati leaves room to lean. I could feel the Roadsmart 3 tires sliding more than any sportbike specific tire I've used in my 20 years of riding. I'm old enough, and have gone fast enough in my youth to not really be interested in taking turns faster, but I do enjoy leaning the bike over further, so I would say I enjoyed the Roadsmart 3/KTM SDR combo better. Another issue not considered is that for 6 weeks, I commuted to a jobsite that was closer, and allowed me to take Ortega Highway for both commutes, which could easily lengthen the life of those Roadsmart 3's because I wasn't taking the freeway, meaning my commute was heavily on the sides of the tires. I hope this info helps.
