Aniqa Dreams "Im going vegan for ethics".. with all my respect, what about wearing leather belt, leather shoes, bags, leather bracelet, decorate with leather etc...?
Lory Heart good point! when I was vegetarian I still wore leather every now and then, because for some reason I just didn't make the connection. Ever since doing more research and going vegan I am no longer using leather, fur, silk, wool etc. I am positive more people will do so as well :)
+Lory Heart when I became Vegan that was a hard one since I didn't have the money to buy all new things to replace the leather, suede and wool items I had. I am still in the process of purging out my old non vegan items. I make sure whatever I buy that is new is vegan and I I am slowly replacing the items I had from before.
+Amber May I am the same as you, but even Gary Yourofsky himself says that the damage has already been done, so you might as well wear them until they're worn out and then replace them with vegan products. Throwing out your leather items wont bring a cow back to life! I still wear my doc martens but will definitely replace them with vegan leather boots when they're no longer wearable! :)
I would LOVE to see you continue on with the series showing whatever you cook (even if it's not vegan. I'd love to see what you cook when you're not doing the challenge as well). They're such great inspiration! Anyone else with me? ;D
For the green smoothie in the beginning of your video, I make them as well, and I usually keep the leafy greens in the freezer to make sure it is nice and cold.
Christine, thank you for being awesome. When the whole world is hauling, selling stuff over the internet, selling the materialistic idea of life, yours is kept simple and natural. This makes you awesome. :D Plz stay being that way ^^
Christine Kobzeff My family and I went vegan for ethical reasons as well. I watched a documentary called forks over knives and also one called Earthlings. After that I couldn't support those kinds of atrocities either. My family and I have been vegan now for one month and will remain so. I really enjoyed these videos and would appreciate it if you would continue to share your knowledge and recipes as well either through videos or blog posts. I've found a lot of help on Pinterest. But, for some reason, I find a visual representation better. Your challenge has inspired me, and helped me a great deal when it comes to staying on track and also making meals for my family and I. I cannot express how grateful I am to you and Michael. Words can't convey my gratitude. Have a lovely day! Greetings from El Paso Texas :-)
Hi Christine, I've just been going over the whole vegan challenge week again and love the idea of having a regular feature on your vlog if you have the time! I like eating vegan but I lack inspiration and your ideas here were really helpful. I also love the direction you are going with your channel - it mirrors the change in so many people away from the buy, buy, buy mentality of the past. Thank you to both you and Michael for all your hard work. 😎😎😎
Christine Kobzeff thanks for this - started my Vegan challenge this weekend. Your videos are so relaxing. You ever think about doing a how to move to Hawaii video (Pros and cons)
Christine please do more of these! they are invaluable! I've been vegan for over 2 and a half years but can ALWAYS use great ideas like yours! love the way everything looks xoxo Michele
Christine this Vegan Challenge series is your best to date. Please continue doing them. I looked forward to watch your videos each day. You put so much effort into them. Your fans appreciate it too!! I would also like to request more vegan food haul videos. I am learning so much from you. I am going to start my vegan challenge in June. I am doing some research on my own for recipes ideas and I will be tagging you when I start the challenge. Thanks for the inspiration!! Xoxo
+David Teurn I was going to say the same. No way a person that has to wake up be at work by 8am until 5pm can be doing this, heating up tea with the sun..yeah i wish.
+ifim555 i do all of this. and Im the restaurant manager in a hotel 25 hours a week and study full time. you can prepare the night before and just throw it in the blender in the morning. the tea can be steeped outside while you're at work and then brought in and refrigerated til the next morning. infused water tastes better the next day anyway. it just requires organisation.
Christine, I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian but I do like my fruits & veggies! Do you think you could try to recreate at home the really yummy sandwich you get at that restaurant? If you can, please include the ingredients so we know what to search for at the health food stores. I really enjoyed this series!!
Thanks for the videos, it gave good ideas. My Dr highly recommended that I become a vegan to improve my health. I had no idea how to start, now I do thanks to you 😊
Try adding the ice at the very end of the green smoothie :) Since ice is the heaviest component, it will speed up the mixing process naturally in a blender
I want to start being vegan. it is super hard since I am from a Mexican family and we eat a lot of meat and dairy products. everything you made in the video looked soon yummy though.
I was a vegetarian for 9 years before going vegan 7 months ago and it has changed my life, I am loving this lifestyle and it's much easier than I thought it would be. so excited for you Christine!!!
Thank you so much for going vegan, honestly it makes me soooo happy when people are introduced to this lifestyle. To feel your very best, eat High carb low fat diet, full of fruit and veggies. But junkfood here and there is welcome :D
These videos were soooo much fun to watch! I'm so sad is over! This was the best one so great finale lol I'm soooo excited about makin that Chai tea and homemade whipped cream! You made it look soooo easy! Also in ecstatic about how u showed us how to make homemade sushi!!!! OMG u have to do more videos like this PLEASE!!!! I've watched every single one of your videos and this my FIRST time commenting because it was soooo awesome! Also I never noticed how beautiful citrus fruit was on the inside until you mentioned it! And I agree! I would also love to see a gardening for beginners or how to start gardening video like how do you pick out seeds and soil and basically how to get started and an explanation of the process please! & I'd also looooove to see a video of how to PLAN a trip, you guys travel so much and I'd like to as well one day but again, I don't know where to start with planning... thank you so much love!
Soooo happy to see you will be sticking to veganism!!! Research is key, you are super awesome, I've loved these videos and I hope to see you make more vegan videos!
Christine I want to tell you how much I appreciate these videos you give us on eating and cooking vegan. The variety of foods is great and it doesn't look complicated or costly and doesn't take too much time. I've become much more cognizant of what goes in my mouth and how much. Your portion control is awesome..you may eat more often than I do but in much smaller quantities..please continue doing these videos - they are important and so informative..and I truly look forward to them....thank you so much...you're a gem
Also it would be really really great to see a grocery haul or what's in your freezer/fridge! I saw a comment also recommending this and I completely agree, it would be a great hit!
I have to say I am far from being Vegan but I love watching these videos. They have inspired me to want to try some new things that I wouldn't normally eat. You do such a wonderful job in all of your videos explaining things so that we can follow along or do them ourselves. I love love love you ma'am!
I have been Vegan for almost 3 years now. Start simply with simple recipes and making meals ahead of time. Be sure you have healthy snacks to help with any cravings. I didn't have the $ to replace all the leather, wool and suede items right away so I slowly started purging as I had the money to do so. Be sure to read labels since there is a lot ways animals products get introduced and are labeled with different names. You can check Peta's site for a list of renamed ingredients you can find them in labeling. Lastly, be kind to yourself. Give yourself room for error. It is reprogramming your whole being to live a brand new way of life. You might eat something with whey in it or someone feeds you something that was made with chicken broth and you will not go to Vegan hell. Learn from that and move forward. Your relationship with the world around you will amaze you. You feel more connected to everything. Good luck 💜
+Amber May this is fantastic advice!! it is difficult to go vegan all at once and to not beat yourself up for not making the healthiest, most ethical choices.
Christine, I really enjoyed watching this series. First, let me say the footage was beautiful, as all your footage is. Second, I was truly inspired by you this week. I generally eat mostly vegetarian, non go, organic, but have not made the full commitment to the vegetarian part. Watching you this week has given me the inspiration to do so. Thank you. I'm so glad to hear you will be sticking with staying vegan. Sending you love and thanks from CT. XOXOXO
Really LOVED seeing all your food during this challenge. I certainly hope you'll share more and I'd love to see a tour of your fridge and pantry to see what you keep on hand.
Please do more cooking videos!!! Everything looks sooooo very delicious. I can't wait to try the chai with coconut whipped cream. Where do you get your purple sweet potatoes? I've had the regular purple potatoes, but not the sweet potato variety.
I love your very professionally edited educational and fun videos. The only concern I have is the great amount of plastic waste which I see in packaging in your films. Plastic containers from larger clam shells (the plastic which strawberries or other berries are stored in) can be used to tote smaller produce between the grocery store and home, larger fruits & veggies don't need to be contained in plastic bags (I designate one cloth bag for my fruits & veggies when I go shopping). For areas which have great recycling programs (I live in a county which has the 2d largest recycling program in the nation), the larger produce clam shells can be recycled, but not the smaller ones.
Hi Christine,...Isn't it heart wrenching when you become aware and enlightened by what the human species has done and are continuing to do to this beautiful planet, so much so that one is highly conscious when "purchasing" any item..I want to know how it was made, what effect will it have on me, an animal, the environment, etc, etc..and how sad it is when one looks around their own community and finds no one else thinks this way...again, thank-you for making these beautiful videos, and saying that you will no longer ignore or contribute to the pain and suffering these animals have to endure from the time they are born...xoxo
Your sushi also looks very good Christine Kobzeff. Thanks for confirming that the pink ginger is dyed and isn't good. Years back when I started eating sushi I didn't really pay that much attention to the fact that is was pink, but i quickly had a concern since fresh ginger is beige/yellowish. No more pink ginger for me. :)
Definitely please keep up the meal videos. You inspire me to consume better to the point that I have started encorporating your suggestions and find I am constantly striving to continue. I have usually dropped off from other YT videos since they were not relatable as you are to who I want to aspire to be
Your recipes look amazing and delicious! If I may make a suggestion...maybe adding orange bell pepper to the sushi roll would make it taste different. I don't know, it's just occurring to me. It seems like it could go so well together with the cucumber and avocado. Hope you try it and hope you like it. 😊
Real "Pink gingers" are not dyed, they're young ginger which comes naturally in light pink-ish color near the ginger head. And once you soak them in vinegar (pickle) the whole ginger just turns pink. I love pickled ginger so I pickle my own ones, June-July is also young ginger season!
Tip! A new knife for sushi isn't needed, just take a wet paper towel or towel and whip the knife after every cut! This will make cutting your sushi a breeze!
These videos have been amazing!! My husband and I are cleaning out our entire house thanks to your organizing videos and now I'm about to attack our diets as well. I think you've found your calling here. I'm so inspired and these videos are just so lovely to watch I know I will be watching them lots more in the future. 😊 I hope you make more like this! Thanks!
B Because, if you were ever vegan, you would never go back to eating animals. You just ate plant-based food, you were never a vegan. Just that. You keep using the wrong word.
For cutting sushi, make sure your knife blade is wet. For some reason it cuts nicely when the blade is wet. I dip my knife blade in a bowl of water then make a slice then do same for next slice. Hope this information is helpful! Thanks for the video!
I really enjoyed this week of videos, I hope you continue to share these wonderful recipes with us! I have made several items you have shared and they are just so good, and I feel good eating them as well. This week has been a true inspiration and a guide to get myself back on track, thank you so much Christine~
Riyo Chan oh really? like what the fuck else would it be called hah? idiot. all i said was i've never seen anyone do it before? idiot haha. are you mad cause you can't afford hydro so you have to use the sun?
"Im going vegan for ethics".. with all my respect, what about wearing leather belt, leather shoes, bags, leather bracelet, decorate with leather etc...?
you dont need to get rid of leather products youve had before going vegan... some people think its wasteful which is true... so they choose to wear them out until the items have surpassed their life...the important thing is that once you go vegan you no longer purchase non vegan items and contribute to such a vile industry ...
+Zabel Connor yeah it is. But maybe she was sharing it with someone else and you shouldn't be that skeptical ;) you should read her discription box. And everyone has some days in their lives that is craving for more sugar or fat. It's better to eat more of drink more coconut products than going to a fastfood restaurant. It's her 7th day, so I do not blame her she is craving a little but more of taste. It is a challenge, so it is different if you change your lifestyle for some reason of go on a healthier diet
Mariel Blomme I definitely admire her, it is fantastic. I just hope people are careful not to eat like that every day, but you are right, it is better than some do.
+JonahTheTechnicolorWhale Well yeah, if someone is representing the diet of a vegan, I'd like it to be the model example of what is healthy :) this isn't unreasonable. Sharing your journey is cool but making some sort of disclaimer that they aren't well informed about nutrition would be good so nonvegans or new vegans don't get the wrong idea.
Just a bamboo mat tip. If you get a larger piece of plastic wrap, enough to wrap both sides, overlap to seal, it won’t keep sticking to the sushi. You will still be able to roll. Love your videos!
Just a heads up that moringa tea actually contains B1, B2, and B3, and NOT B12. B12 is a vitamin that we are only able to naturally obtain from animal sources (anyone telling you otherwise either don't know better or are lying to you). Supplementation is crucial to compensate the absence of B12 from the vegan diet. B12 deficiency is a serious condition to have and failing to ensure that you're getting enough B12 can result in serious and potentially permanent damage to your body.
Hi Christine. I have been so inspired on all your healthy eating and natural products. Please I would love more of your DIYS. Do you still use your home made toner? Thanks for all your great videos and love all your vegan recipes ! 😘
Hi Christine, I live in London and have found these last week's vlogs truly inspirational! I am a foodie at heart and love to try new culinary creations. Please can you keep them coming!!! Xxxx
Yes, please show us more. I loved these videos! Really I love all of your videos. I have been trying to eat less meat and processed foods. These videos gave me some great ideas. Thank you.
Do you find the baby kale and full fat coconut milk at Whole Foods? This series has been wonderful! I hope you continue with an add of vegetarian recipes too. I'd appreciate a mention to where you purchase the products you use. TFS, Sara
I just love your channel. Its so encouraging and uplifting! I loved you doing a video a day i know that is a lot of work but i really looked forward to checking for a new video from you each day.
Thanks so much, very inspiring! Great to see Frontier herbs from here in Iowa all the way out there with you! I have been using them since they first began growing herbs. I have really appreciated the nudge to get cruelty free products, too. I never thought sushi could be veggie only--how wonderful! Lots of food for thought : )
With all your's and Michael's talents it would be nice to see you both in the Kitchen at least once a week sharing recipes and other idea's of a simpler lifestyle and way of living from both of you.
I loved this video!!! Thanks! Can't wait to make the coconut whip cream. Any suggestions for cheese substitutes? I've only been vegan for 2 weeks. I don't miss meat but I do miss cheese.
just a little note about pickled ginger: when you pickle it at home, if you do it right over time it turns pink - then it is ready to use and the most tasty. So not every pink ginger is dyed, not at all - it's natural outcome of proper pickleing. Though, of course, there are some unfair producers who instead of doing it right and waiting just fasten the process and dye it. White ginger is just the one which hasn't yet reached it's maturity.
I've thoroughly enjoyed your series and gleaned lot's of good ideas. My husband and I are cutting down on meat and eating more plant based. You've really given some good doable recipes and methods... thanks so much! ~Dawne
Thank you so much for these videos Christine! I have definitely looked forward to watching them everyday! Now I feel more confident learning to start choosing much healthier and organic options to my daily meals! Xoxo
“I started as a vegetarian mostly for health, but I am going vegan for ethics” your video description made my day! :) xx
Aniqa Dreams mine too! I love your channel too Aniqa!

Read the description. Shes staying vegan :)
RetroKitty777 Oops >_
RetroKitty777 I just stumbled on her channel and I would love to see more recipes like these vegan ones. Most of them look super delish.
Yeah more recipe ideas please!!!!
Christine, If you write a recipe book I will buy it! :D
bokan800 I think that a lot of us would buy a recipe book from her I know that I would also
Yes!! It would be awsome!!
Me too!
I would buy it too !
For the green smoothie in the beginning of your video, I make them as well, and I usually keep the leafy greens in the freezer to make sure it is nice and cold.
Can you do like a fridge tour a few like grocery haul. Like your basics.
She's done that a few times. Check out some of her previous vlogs ; )
I know the Fridge Haul was already done but I request another one 😋
***** Why, you already know what she eats so what would be the point of another?
LOL, I know I buy new stuff all the time. So, maybe there is updated stuff they buy now that they didn't a few months ago.
Your voice is so calming
Christine, thank you for being awesome.
When the whole world is hauling, selling stuff over the internet, selling the materialistic idea of life, yours is kept simple and natural.
This makes you awesome. :D Plz stay being that way ^^
Yes! Please do more. Loving these ideas. Been eating mostly raw vegan for a year and a half and these are awesome. Thank you for making them.
I hope you continue to do videos like this, I love them. Everything looks amazing.

I'm so excited about your vegan journey. I recently went vegan and it is the best thing Ive ever done.

Thank you for these seven days, lovely and very inspiring !!
The knife you used to cut up the oranges, lemons and limes is super cool! Love how you can take the seeds out with it!
No way you can do this unless you have all the time in the world.
+David Teurn I was going to say the same. No way a person that has to wake up be at work by 8am until 5pm can be doing this, heating up tea with the sun..yeah i wish.

Do tons of research and you'll be fine. Watch what I eat in a days to see how much/ what other people eat

Anyone else notice the runescape music is playing in the background? 😂😂
+UnicornSummer Do you know the name of the song, by any chance? :D
Really LOVED seeing all your food during this challenge. I certainly hope you'll share more and I'd love to see a tour of your fridge and pantry to see what you keep on hand.
WOW I'm obsessed with your music in this video - SO calming!! :)
Please do more cooking videos!!! Everything looks sooooo very delicious. I can't wait to try the chai with coconut whipped cream.
Where do you get your purple sweet potatoes? I've had the regular purple potatoes, but not the sweet potato variety.
why do you leave it out in the sun instead of just heating the water
It's called Sun Tea, and the taste is different than boiling the water, much more tastier!
+Brenda Shoemaker Isn't that supposed to be bad for you? Drinking water left in the sun? Maybe its just a myth...
Ben J I've drank Sun Tea many times and I never got sick, so it's okay to drink it!
+Ben J Wy should it be bad for you? It's just water that got warmed up to light heat in a really slow way...
***** Microwaved water is definitive not better for you
I love your very professionally edited educational and fun videos. The only concern I have is the great amount of plastic waste which I see in packaging in your films. Finally, someone who doesn't only eat 3 meals per day xD
Most successful healthy vegans eat more than 3 meals per day.
we should eat when hungry, I usually get hungry every 2 hours :(
@@Mada_94_ Because you dont eat enough. But that's fine, as long as you get your daily calories. I enjoy smaller meals too, doesnt bloat me

Soooo relaxing!!
your sushi rolls look awesome!! i've tried making the inside out ones--epic fail; and will try your tip with the plastic wrap. 😀
Pleaaaaaase continue to spoil us with your yummy creativity!!!!!
Christine can you do some videos of you making your jewelry?
Definitely please keep up the meal videos. You inspire me to consume better to the point that I have started encorporating your suggestions and find I am constantly striving to continue. I have usually dropped off from other YT videos since they were not relatable as you are to who I want to aspire to be
your voice is so calming 😌
Your recipes look amazing and delicious! If I may make a suggestion...maybe adding orange bell pepper to the sushi roll would make it taste different. I don't know, it's just occurring to me. It seems like it could go so well together with the cucumber and avocado. Hope you try it and hope you like it. 😊
Your voice is so nice!!
Real "Pink gingers" are not dyed, they're young ginger which comes naturally in light pink-ish color near the ginger head. And once you soak them in vinegar (pickle) the whole ginger just turns pink.
I love pickled ginger so I pickle my own ones, June-July is also young ginger season!
thank you becuse of you i became vegan and i like to be vegan now
Tip! A new knife for sushi isn't needed, just take a wet paper towel or towel and whip the knife after every cut! This will make cutting your sushi a breeze!
i feel like if i lived in your house and eat what you eat i would def loose weight and become healthier!!
Thanks!
damn, i was vegan for almost three years but my food almost never looked this pretty :)
+B You "were" vegan? What does that mean?
It means I was vegan. What do you think it means...?
B you "were" as in you are not anymore?
Yes...? I don't know what's hard to understand about this.
Unless your house burned down or something, I simply donut understand why you have left me with no new channel content the last two weeks
I really enjoyed this week of videos, I hope you continue to share these wonderful recipes with us! I have made several items you have shared and they are just so good, and I feel good eating them as well. This week has been a true inspiration and a guide to get myself back on track, thank you so much Christine~
i make tea with boiling water, not the sun. AHAHAHa never seen that before.
***** LMAO
+Alexis Rose called sun tea idiot.
making tea this way actually affects the taste of the tea
+Riyo Chan no need to be rude
Riyo Chan oh really? like what the fuck else would it be called hah? idiot. all i said was i've never seen anyone do it before? idiot haha. are you mad cause you can't afford hydro so you have to use the sun?
Hi Christine, love watching you! but please bring back the Decor DIY's whats inspiring you for beauty, Spa routine or ideas for us non vegans xx
"Im going vegan for ethics".. with all my respect, what about wearing leather belt, leather shoes, bags, leather bracelet, decorate with leather etc...?
It's not real leather, she explained in her other videos
and her shoes?.... She bought leather shoes, she shows at her video. where is ethics there?...
MIX MAX she said that her shoes are vegan xp
MIX MAX Oh get outta here.
you dont need to get rid of leather products youve had before going vegan... some people think its wasteful which is true... so they choose to wear them out until the items have surpassed their life...the important thing is that once you go vegan you no longer purchase non vegan items and contribute to such a vile industry ...
I love that chai...Christine you need to write a cooking book....love your recipes..
Idk why entitled people always try to put their 2 sense on vegans/people who live a vegan lifestyle. It's like chill. Dude. lol
I'm not a vegan but that whipped coconut creamer is def. a keeper b/c I have a lactose issue; I will try.
Who has the money to eat like this everyday
Anna Y It's cheaper this way
Everything looks so yummy and colorful! Thanks for the tip about the sushi ginger! x
All that coconut is A LOT of saturated fat...
She's showing different ways to use the coconut.
I just hope people are careful not to eat like that every day, but you are right, it is better than some do.
the RUclips Internet health police are everywhere.
Great week of videos Christine! I got some very good ideas for lunches for this coming work week! Keep them coming!
I have absolutely loved this series. I looked forward to seeing it pop up in my subscriptions. Thank you for doing these videos!
Fallaryn yeah well we have idiots these days who keep crying "cruelty" for everything.
Hi Christine. I have been so inspired on all your healthy eating and natural products. Please I would love more of your DIYS. Do you still use your home made toner? Thanks for all your great videos and love all your vegan recipes ! 😘
I absolutely loved these videos and looked forward to them every day this week! I would love to see you do them weekly!
I'm not sure if coconut is a good choice for healthy diet as it contains high saturated fats but of course it does add flavor to the chai tea.
Hi Christine,
I live in London and have found these last week's vlogs truly inspirational! I am a foodie at heart and love to try new culinary creations. Please can you keep them coming!!! Xxxx
Yes, please show us more. I loved these videos! Really I love all of your videos. I have been trying to eat less meat and processed foods. These videos gave me some great ideas. Thank you.
Where have you gone!!!?? It feels like its been forever since you last posted a video!!! :-(
amazing video! So much info.. need to watch several times.. Thank you.
Do you find the baby kale and full fat coconut milk at Whole Foods?
This series has been wonderful! I hope you continue with an add of vegetarian recipes too. I'd appreciate a mention to where you purchase the products you use.
TFS,
Sara
I just love your channel. Its so encouraging and uplifting! I loved you doing a video a day i know that is a lot of work but i really looked forward to checking for a new video from you each day.
I literally just saw like 2 or 3 videos right now and subscribed right away because your videos are so helpful, plus your voice is so calming!
Have a great week Christine and Michael , love all your ideas the food looks deliciuos!!
Loved this little series, Christine! Some awesome food ideas! Definitely will have to make that coconut whipped cream!
This has been such a good series! Full of great ideas and inspiration....I would love to see some more videos like these!
just a little note about pickled ginger: when you pickle it at home, if you do it right over time it turns pink - then it is ready to use and the most tasty.
Xoxo
