I only average about 11 KH/s with my 5950X, 3900X, and two 5900HX CPUs all running in Linux. Makes about 130-140+ Raptoreum a day. 😔
That's hardly surprising, given the fact that the cpu-miner has an extremely small memory footprint, rendering dual channel access completely irrelevant. CPU internal cache is much more important.
Lol I figured this out last night when building a new rig, ran out of ram so pulled one stick out from another rig. It had the same kh/s in single channel as it did in dual channel.

..also 2 sticks of 8gb vs one is only a ~$25 difference which right now is a few days.. and if this enhances compatibility with other algos it could be a better long term build option
Hi mate. Thx for your tutorials and videos. You are doing a great job. Just trying 4 myself cpu mining after 5 years of gpu + asic mining. Ordered 10 sets on r9 5900x.
The 1st one just finished to setup. 9 to go tomorrow. Didnt find any info about recomended settings for such cpu on your chanel. And i would say that r9 5900x is the top in google search about raptoreum. A video about such cpu with config and mb+cooler+ram recomendations will explode your chanel!!! Thx again and to the moon 😁
3900x 3950x 5900x and 5950x all run great with the same settings of 3.6gh at 1v and slowly pushing up a bit on a 3900x to 3.8 at 1v as well as my 5950x to 3.8 at 1v more results once I find out stable they are.
Thx 4 info and recomendations😇. Next few days 4 me will be in searching the best adjustments to get the best result. All rigs are the same, so it will be easy to setup all after i will find the best on one. I understand that r9 3900x and 5900x are very common but Still thinking that video about r9 5900x will bring tons of new subscribers and views. Cheers😉

What's the point of spending extra money on CL14 RAM when you're not even enabling XMP? You do realize that the latency defaults to something much higher if you don't apply XMP or manually change the latency settings right?
I have a 6GPU rig with RX470 4GB and I was getting around 5KH using WildRig. I was using it a for a few days when RTM was going high and switched it back to ERG the other day.

Just a few thoughts.Since Mem Hub controller is INSIDE your cpu, it could of have been damaged while cpu was installed by static or possibly some decoupling caps or resistors on mobo or power source for that channel is glitchy. This only if stiicks ypu tried are actually fully working.Most common problem i have seen is damaged mem controller channel in cpu. Put other cpu in that board and see, if still glitchy, then its motherboard components. Be sure to check that no pins in memory slots are shorting or bent and prevent contact.

Thank you for this video. I have a second-hand x570 Aorus Master that came with a single burned out slot for the CPU. That pin just so happens to take care of dual channel memory. I have been worried that my hashes are hindered but I guess not.
How to make the cpu give the monst hash, i have 2 rigs of 12 gtx 1660s, and i have a core i5 10400 in the 2 mobos, 2 core i5 10400 and im geting 150 hash, in the mobo i activate xmp and high performance, bat cant go above 150 average, help i have some exp on gpu mining but cpu, im a nobe :)
It can be a gpu replacement but the power is off the charts. Since you can have multiple cards in one pc, but only have one cpu per pc. So power goes way up even with a modest 550w. Hydro is like 50 percent cost.
not sure what you mean a full system CPU rig mining is only 97w a gpu mining eth is 130w-330w depending on the GPU can run 3.5 cpu rigs to one 3090

Really talking about a cpu that cost $800 usd that profits $2.00 per day (with out paying for power) which gives a ROI over a year. With mobo, 1 stick of ram, psu and upgraded cooler; we are looking at 2 years for ROI.
Wjen I was doing this was paying 650 CAD for the whole build scalpers are changing that now and these rigs were making over 6 bucks a day at times
How much does latency of the ram affect things? I see people all over the place with C18, C16, C14 etc.
I’m currently on 20kh on average and thinking of trying solo mining and test my luck.

Hi, again stupid question. But I dont want to waste money... I have 8 Ryzen 9 3900XT but dont know what the best MOBO to use and how to set up it without GPU (you dont have one), another question is: So I can use normal ram (CL16 3200 MHz) or is better to use CL14 and so..... cl14 is better but its not a big boost. Any MB that supports the CPU you want to use will work unless you plan to overclock it pretty high.
Ive watched several of ur videos about Raptoreum and im thinking of giving it a try with my 3960x.

A lot of cryptominers repeat this nonsense: "Oh, let's try solo mining, maybe, if I'm lucky, I will make more money". It's a basic misunderstanding of the how the probability laws work - the longer you mine, the more these two values - solo and pool will converge. Over a long enough time interval, they will be the same.

What are better more cores or more L3 cache?
How much L3 cache is enough per core?
Does ram frequency affect RTM mining?
Does ram latency affect RTM mining?
How heavy does CPU frequency affect hashrate?
been trying to tell people which is why I made the alder lake sucks video is that RTM needs 2mb per thread and intel lacks the l3 cache like there alderlake which is a 16 core 24 thread CPU but only 30MB L3 which means only gonna use 15 threads max leaving half the CPU dead and if you mine haven with that CPU only using 7 threads as it needs 4mb per thread
@@RabidMining this is also why the Ryzen G isn't quite as expected because the anemic L3. It is also why there is a small jump between 3600 to 3700 to 3800x or XT - but jump to the the 3900, which doubles the L3, has a huge jump in hash - same thing happens comparing the 5800x to the 5900x.
I'm using two 3900x. One is 3.5k and the other is 1.5k. Does the difference between 2666 and 3200 RAM make a difference in hash?
Probably the latter one is thermo throttling

thank you in hiveos ya am on the latest and only at 3.8 on 2 rigs as I am testing stuff out but waiting on a new extension cord so I can do simultaneous tests with watt meters

On the GPU part, I am glad you didn't wanted to test RTM on the cards for a week vs 24hrs... :)
yes and I do have cl16 as well can put it in a head to head test here soon after my solo test

Question to rabid , do we have to tune every time we update the flight sheet . For example if I do the benchmark in the hiveos flight sheet will this cause another tune to start? Thanks
It is possible to use chrome remote desktop without graphic card on the motherboard? How you do mine? Most of your motherboards don't have the graphic card
probably could ya I use hiveos can monitor rigs from your phone or any other computer.
Yup using chrome remote works I have it on all 6 of cpu set ups that’s are gpu-less
One more thing. Do you know how to display the current ram speed on windows 10? It is variable while the ghost rider algorithm is running? I set up 3200 Mhz through BIOS. Thanks.

cl14 is recomended but depending where you live get what ever is cheaper as some are way more expensive then others.
This certainly was NOT the case prior to the new client. I tested this extensively and the hash rate was 15-20% higher with the older client when you used dual channel memory. I wonder if the new version changed this. I’ll have to test myself.

I didn't even know you needed 2 sticks. I was running a 5800x and a 2700x on single sticks. The 2700x is crashing a bit though. These are also GPU mining rigs and they have 6 cards each
What is your avrage hashrate whit 2700x and what pool are you using?

Dual chanel will give small boost but 8gb is enogh. So 2x4gb will gave 50hash more than 1x8gb

I`m running an old ryzen 2500G on my old MSI B450 A-Pro Vdh with 1 stick of 8GB 3200 RAM mining Raptoreum as I could not find the second one after moving, works great also running an rtx 3060 solo mining firo on it and hit a block after 4 days, pretty good way to safe money with RAM! I also mined ETH with the rtx 3060 on the same build with 1 RAM no differenceto 2 sticks much!
All my mining rigs I run 1 8gb sticks too

have done previous tests showing that but will re do them tests with the benchmarking command on multiple rigs at the same time after a new full tune.

Just what I needed before building a new rig. A few questions. Do I need to retune after I pull the stick from the other rig? Also, is mining while the benchmark is running? Lastly, how long does benchmark take to run?
yes its recommended to full tune after any type of OC or hardware change

For good comparison switch it out the cpus. Silicone lottery has also a factor on hash rate, then you'll be sure that you isolated the ram performance.

yes the min is 1000 RTM till it will get added to a node in the future it will be coming down to 500
I was thinking to get some cheap ITX boards, that way you can put more miners on the shelf :) maybe a cheap 520 chipset board or similar. :)

there are 2 places to put the pool url primary and backup if the primary looses connect as for dev fee all miners will goto flockpool for the dev fee.
