Seems like a pretty awesome sling but the lack of dividers is just a dealbreaker for me. The 10L version has dividers but that bag lacks the extra pockets which are super useful in this one. I guess the saying that there's no perfect camera bag rings true once again..
Fair enough! There is so much choice on the market right now. A bag for every eventuality so very hard to find what works for you individually. For me this is an easy pack down bag that goes in a suitcase for that on holiday day carry. Most of the time on holiday the camera will be in your hand anyway so this will just contain all the other needs.
Belroy also makes a 10L sling targeted specifically to photographers --- it has soft (collapsible) dividers to add more organization and protection for camera gear, and (removable) straps that can you used to lash a tripod (or a coat) to the bottom of the bag. I just bought mine, and will be subjecting it to some rigorous testing in the coming months.
@ yes thank you I’ve actually bought a 10L because it seems like the best compromise for my wishes. It’s just that the extra pockets on the 9L (like tablet sleeve) seem pretty handy and it feels like they skimmed out on adding those to cut costs.
Yes they do just about. Obviously all depends on what you plan to mount on them both. 18mm on the X-E4 and 18-120 on the X-T4 fit all ok. Not too much space for anything else though.
I think they are just trying to keep it as lightweight as possible. Much the same type of strap on most of these slings for this size range. How would you design it differently? Thanks
Really useful review - thank you - seeing the different equipment going in was particularly helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, love seeing what fits in, so clearly. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Helpful video thanks. One question, would a water bottle fit in either of the stretchy side pockets?
Thanks for the video! A question if I may, the Xe4 and XT4 (plus lenses), do they fit at the same time??

there is a 10L version with better compartment separation, which is a better camera bag
There are gaps at each side of the bag when it's fully zipped. Won't water enter the bag via those gaps?
But the sling strap feel freaking cheap and crapt!
