- 6 ways to fold Wontons, it can be as easy as 1, 2, 3. My favourite ways are Cantonese Yuntuns and the Chinese northern style ingot Wontons. With Cantonese Yuntuns, You can wrap lots of fillings without breaking it and the skins stay soft after cooking. The northern style ingot Wontons are the ones my mum usually make at home. They have the shape of ingots which is a symbol of wealth.
You can choose any one of them for your next wonton soup. 5 spices powder and Szechuan peppercorn water give the Wonton filling lots of flavours, but they're optional if they're not available to you.

Ingredients:6 portions
300-400g pork mince
1 thumb size ginger
45g spring onions
1 egg
0.5 tsp 5 spices powder
0.5 tbsp Szechuan peppercorns
2-3 tbsp hot water
1 tbsp soy sauce
0.5 tbsp sesame oil
300g wonton wrappers
