Fundamental misunderstanding of the first film
It's rare to see a new series immortalized as legendary in such a short span of time, Keanu is simply amazing
well he is known as The One for a reason 😉
It literally happened so fast, I found about it in 2018 and had not ever heard of even knew it was a thing. I felt stupid.
only the first episode was great, the second was ok, the 3rd unwatchable

What I like about John Wick is Keanu really knows how to use those weapons. He immersed himself in high quality training. He’s a nice guy, good actor and doesn’t look like an actor while running and gunning
Indeed - he's dabbling pretty seriously in competitive shooting in addition to being a machine in the martial arts training side.

And to top it off he is reasonable and respects the dangerous potential of all guns which is why he doesn't own one and said that owning one "comes with complications and is not the wisest thing to do".

It’s honestly impressive how this series started as an ex assassin wanting revenge for his dog and it just develops into such a weird and interesting world while not feeling forced
Edit: just to clarify I am perfectly aware of just how ridiculous and over the top the movies have become over the years, but honestly I just have an easier time accepting it when you remember that the first movie introduced the continental as a whole and the idea that John single-handedly wiped out every other crime syndicate in New York

Yeah it's almost like original stories can stand on their own and you don't have to keep remaking the same thing over and over again to be successful or something...
They don't feel natural especially not the 3rd one but they are quite enjoyable especially these very well made action scenes.

This series is now legend. Usually sequels blow so hard, especially these action ones. Even when they aren't bad they're not great either. All 3 have been absolutely amazing. I have not been this excited for a movie in a long time.

For me, and to my mind, there is no one else suited to play the role of John Wick but Keanu Reeves. I'm so thrilled for the man. There was a time when he was more or less forgotten and then John Wick was born, and with it, the re-birth of Keanu Reeves. I'm just so glad I was around to see it from the beginning and through to where it is today. As a man who was born the same year as Mr Reeves, I have to thank him (though he will never know it) for myself and on behalf of every other man born in '64, proving that age is just a number and we are not to be written-off because of it. With determination, dedication, a defined goal and self-belief, at our age, anything is STILL possible.

John Wick could run any rifle in the world, run AP ammo for those armored guys from the last film, and he still wants to do it the hard way with 9mm 2011 handguns. This movie is going to be great man.
I mean, it's much easier to win a bunch of gun fights with a 2011 than it is with a 1911 or almost any other handgun in the world

I appreciate all the effort he puts in in relation to training at Taran Tactical. While it’s still very much a Hollywood action movie, the weapon manipulation, firing, and movement should be the standard for action movies. No more 300 round mag dumps from a 30 or 40 round magazine, you can visually see plain as day point shooting techniques for CQB in John Wick 3 which shows a bit more work on Reeve’s part than just running through a 3 gun course for a couple weeks. It shines through in all aspects of his screen weapon usage and the small amount of us gun nerds/combat vets greatly appreciate the effort to accurately depict such things. It’s certainly not something a majority of viewers notice or even care about in movies but with the shooting being such a major component, the weapons utilized and the manner in which they’re displayed almost become a significant part of the films identity. The extensive use of body armor is still very much a fantasy, armored helmets that protect the users entire head and face from some smaller caliber rounds do exist, as do SAPI plates that will protect your center Mass front and back. However once they’re struck a round, the structural integrity degrades rapidly; with most rounds used in the movies like 9x19, .40 cal, .45 ACP, etc it wouldn’t be a big deal but with intermediate sized rifle rounds like 5.56, .300 AAC, etc it would become an issue as well as the fact that any of those rifle rounds would punch through existing technology used on the cutting edge armored helmets that are currently available for sale with ease.

The only suspension of disbelief in the film is the "bullet proof" Nanomesh lining. Granted, there are RnD panels that are currently going into research for this kind of thing, to better facilitate ease of movement and encumbrance of ADS's in theater. However that level of tech is years away with consistent trail and error, leaning currently on the error side of things. Though it did develop Nanotubes, which are pretty nice. Ridiculous tensile strength and heat displacement, just not good with compression.
But when it comes to the "gun play", god damn is it fucking accurate. Even down to the mag flip some do when reloading. Shit even the speed load on the shotguns.

Yeah!! I caught that too. Also, one of my all time favorite movies. I wasn't allowed to see it when it came out, I was too young . But , I remember the NY city police tried to have it banned cuz they were worried the gangs would try to do what Cyrus was trying to do at the beginning. I loved the subway scene with the prom kids and the scene at the end where the lead guy pulls a knife and you realize he'd had a weapon all along but didnt' use it. Cool movie

This series is just way too good... The visuals and sequences are so mesmerizing and the emotional outset of the franchise with John's wife and Dog, good lord... These movies define epicness!!!
1 and 2 were really good, I didn’t enjoy 3 anywhere near as much, felt too goofy for what the others were going for and the ending fight just felt like I was watching live action Payday 2 footage without the dope-ass music.

The fact that this is all one storyline that started in chapter one is just amazing. Storytelling at its peak.
I kind of feel it started in part two. One laid down the foundation, but I think that the story from one was a complete story on its own.
More like the first movie was more of its own story while 2, 3 and 4 are part of there own story.

That scene where a radio dj shout out a song for Wick, reminds me of the scenes in The Warriors. They way they shot the scene only the lips and smooth sound comes from the radio dj while playing a soundtrack fit for the scene. Gets me hyped for the 4th sequel!

At the beginning ~ @0:10 there is something gold in the background to the left of the character that seems to be blurred out (same with to the right of the body guard). But @1:32 there is nothing there, it seems they have been airbrushed out. I wonder what was there. A gold statue?
I noticed that as well, I'd love to know the reasoning - especially since the blur wasn't exactly subtle
I'd guess that it's just an anatomically correct statue of some kind and the channel just doesn't want to risk it :)

Noticed the same thing. Maybe the vfx studio didn't have enough time to retouch it so they just rotoscoped it and blurred it. It's very unusual for trailers though, which tend to get the top quality possible
