I worked as a GM Tech from 04-12 and always loved these vehicles! Its funny when they were new at the time we didn't see how bad the interior plastics were then haha. it just seemed really nice and cool then! And yet now in 2020 my most favorite car from that time is the Turbocharged 08-10 Cobalt SS! God those cars are so underated! My mild tuned one by me runs 12s and is such a fun car with cheap enough plastics to be rejected by McDonalds toys haha
Loved this suv so much. Great engine with great power. Engine is good for mods, racing, daily driving and gas mpg wasn't horrible considering. Awd or rwd is Awesome price isn't bad. The 2ss package with sunroof leather and suede is amazing. And onstar boose stereo automatic adjustable airbags etc. For the price the suv was a slam dunk. And compared to a stock trailblazer ss inside and out it looks more luxury and sportier
There was no such thing as 2SS. GM had 1 or 3SS option packages. That applied to 07-09 models. 2006 were still LS or LT optioned trucks with SS option.
Hey guys, nice work on this one, best editing yet! Im feeling the Top Gear inspiration on this one. Keep up the good work. Folks out there like me are watching your stuff... as a fellow car enthusiast from Sedalia, I especially appreciate some local videos.
@@Carpidity could have just ignored it or made a video and held hands for a second, that would have been funny and made your videos more entertaining but w.e be insecure
I totally disagree with them on the brakes.. 4 piston calipers.. actually pretty good.. These guys don't know what they are driving. The ss has custom lowered spindles in the front and air ride in the back.. the stock didn't have that.. The bumper covers and lower valences are different. The low center of gravity makes it turn great.
Yes, the stock brakes are very, very good, and easily upgraded for an even stouter feeling and easier to modulate pedal just by swapping lines. Whatever they're talking about might be specific to that test vehicle. Don't get me wrong, I know every bad thing about my TBSS parts eater, but brakes...not something they skimped on.
They said dual piston floating calipers which is correct for the fronts. The rear had aluminum single piston floating. The rear came factory with auto leveling air springs. The compressor was mounted under the rear bumper fascia behind the right rear tire.
I feel like it was hammered a bit unnecessarily and a slight bit misrepresented. You talk about the 90's throwing SS on everything but it isn't a 90's vehicle. Just sayin.
So I purchase an 06 T.B. SS No one mentions the front drive shaft actually runs through the oil Pan. This was done to lower the center of gravity. Thank you German Engineering. Mine was lowered with coil overs in the front and I put Air shocks on the back and ran an air line to the Air Sation Positioned at the Right Rear inside quarter panel. It kinda flips out at high rpm, hoping a cam and blower will remedy that. Idigit oh It also has a 4 link suspension. Best handling vehicle I've driven. The 89 beamer was tight but this is a truck/Suv. Isn't that crazy about the front drive shaft though.
I love my trailblazer it's great in snow it's made for speed hit the gas in the snow you never slide without four wheel drive I love mine so much 3000 dollars 2006
Would like to know where you guys get tbss with 60k miles for only 10,500 that is wayyu to cheap, is either salvage title or not a true ss, or it has problems
Got my 07 ss with 3ss package 132k on body but swapped with a ly6 bored over to a 6.2. Still on break in oil, fully built tranny, headers, true dual, and ls9 cam for 7.5k clean title and everything.
These things are not as fast as the srt's but they are not supposed to be its less power and older tech but don't get it twisted you can make them faster with some money and still have money left over for gas or you can just go out and buy a SRT for 60k and up and drive what everyone else has!!!!!

The Trailblazer SS and Enjoy Denali are both badass

Really appreciate it. Awesome to hear from someone local.
90s... lol what is that a 07
I spoke poorly, what I meant was had they gotten their act together by then, and I believe they had.
just bought mine 2008 & i love her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Love My 3TBSS! Took out the Diffuser and One Muffler and It's Way Better!! Love your Show!!
I'm building an LQ9 for my Denali Envoy. These are absolutely amazing vehicles!
I kept waiting for these dudes to hold hands.
Sorry to let you down. But if you really wanted to see some male on male you could try an internet search.
I think I heard a lisp....

I agree. I've had mine for 10 years and it stops on a dime. Seems like they wanted to find a flaw and just ran with that.

I can’t believe that you guys didn’t mention the air ride suspension
I feel like it was hammered a bit unnecessarily and a slight bit misrepresented. You talk about the 90's throwing SS on everything but it isn't a 90's vehicle. Just sayin.
Yeah should have said early 2000’s. I guess what I meant was, had they realized their past mistakes by the time they made the trailblazer ss.
Chevy didn’t even throw the SS badge on hardly anything in the 90s besides the Camaro and the 454SS😂

It also shared the platform with the ssr.
Back in the 90s gm slapped ss on everything proceeds to show a 2006 Chevy Malibu Maxx SS and then a panel Chevy HHR SS
We need Chevy to bring a 2021 or 2022 trailblazer bac to compete with the trackhawk
Trailblazer SS Because being late to your kids soccer practice and work isn’t an option.
Nice!! Hey guys, are they working on the C5?
The shop has a long wait time, Christmas and stuff. Its. Killing us too. Probably won’t be finished until January.
Carpidity oh ok. That sucks!! Great vid btw. That exhaust does sound good. I never knew those had that decent of horsepower!!!
"You look like an idiot," says the guy with the chin strap beard!😂
Marco Arreola that’s funny
"If ypu wanna get there fast and start braking agead of time" hahaha thats true i had to uprade my rotors and pads like 3 months after owning one
Hey did it help on the braking when u upgraded?
Mike Mixson obviously that’s why it’s called an upgrade pal.
My 04 ext 4x4 has plenty good brakes lol. Locked them up when i deer ran in front of me and went from 60 to 0 real quick
whats the mileage per gallon I'm looking at an 06 with 85k for $11000?
I will ask the owner but I think real world mileage is in the low teens
probably salvaged title. or maybe you just got a great deal.
Would like to know where you guys get tbss with 60k miles for only 10,500 that is wayyu to cheap, is either salvage title or not a true ss, or it has problems
That is cheap ad fuck.

Trailblazer SS is Badass but I can do the same thing with a Envoy Denali
2006 trailblazer over 300,000 miles still fast
These things are not as fast as the srt's but they are not supposed to be its less power and older tech but don't get it twisted you can make them faster with some money and still have money left over for gas or you can just go out and buy a SRT for 60k and up and drive what everyone else has!!!!!
I love the color
What is that first blue ss car called
Malibu maxx ss
yu need more time to get use to the brakes. they are fine
Kenny called..... he’s in jail. 😄
Surprised the Chevy made it thru the video.
whether
Oh the hair do!! Come on guys!!
lol
You guys need to get hooked up with Ryan Reynolds and drink Gin with him...
As a common courtesy to everyone, please actually know what you’re talking about before talking about it thanks
Lol. This. There is so much bad info in the comments.
These SS Trailblazers are not cars. Stop calling SUVs cars.
It is a car?
Tune that vette and u wont spin lol
Just the two of you not the ss
