Excellent video. Thank you for pointing out this potential live feature- never would have thought of it on my own. This opens up a completely new way of thinking about using the Model 12 in conjunction with a laptop for live use. I also like how you went into the routing features in the first half of the video- that is very helpful. Nice singing, too!

Hi, thanks for all your video's on the Model 12. They are great!!!! and are very helpful in my search for a new mixer. ps: also this video on pitch control helps a lot in understanding how the mixer can be used, though I like your voice more without the correction, more warmth and personality 🙂
Thanks. This video might help you as well Expanding TASCAM Model 12 with IK Multimedia MixBox CS Free | Waves SuperRack Alternative ruclips.net/video/pWo7VDLtXpI/видео.html
thanks again, it's very helpfull! As I understand you correctly, I do not need my DAW (studio one) anymore, to add all this functionality to live performances (still need my laptop) and also to do a final mixing on the model 12 itself, right?
wow Pitch Correct is so amazing tools really help for singer singing a song without Experience Thank You so much i am going to get one Model 12 real soon
ive been wathcing this all day is there any way i can contact you with further quesrions because i have tried to do exactly what you do in the video and it still isnt working
Does the Master EQ section record to the SD card? Is the SD card master track recorded as the FINAL position in the signal chain? #RecordingStudio9 #TascamModel12 #SignalFlow
When you have the Post Fader Rec engaged, then yes. If you don't want the master output EQ and the final fader level, make sure the button is in Pre Fader position (up)
Elvis has left the building. I could not hear any difference or pitch correction, I guess you need to sing off pitch and see how hard you can push the correction before it can't keep up. Great demonstration and you have a pretty good voice. I hope you have some protection on that mixer under you Tascam-12?
Thanks for the comment. For me Pitch-Correct is for supporting and should not be heard, unless that is the effect you are going for. Great to read you didn't hear much difference. Because I sang, I can tell. If you can read the screen, you can see how Grailon 2 is correcting my slight off-pitch (as a non-professional singer, this is normal and natural).
I’ve had it for over a year as my main interface. I do enjoy the features. A few workflow issues I rant about in my previous video, might want to watch. Again, this depends on your use and your PC’s OS.
I find it impossible to use live pitch correction in proximity to live acoustic guitar. The guitar, being in the same range as voice sounds, gets into the vocal mic, and the auto tune tries to tune all the guitar sounds as well as the vocal sounds - resulting in a harsh mess of conflicting tones and artifacts. Have you experience experiences this and do you have a solution?
I’m afraid the only solution is to practice your singing. 😊 Yes, I’ve had this issue with my hardware pitch correction unit. Best solution maybe is to use a good dynamic mic and sing very close.
Set the channel mode switch to PC, as shown in the video. Select the REC button for the channel and record to MTR as normal. What gets recorded is the USB return, pitch-corrected audio onto the MTR track.
Nice set-up. Unfortunately, trying to sing with live pitch-correction is fraught with problems, because hearing the corrected pitch can be confusing for the singer. While there was a difference between your corrected and uncorrected vocal, the pitch-corrected vocal did not necessarily sound better. Of course, if you took your vocal and corrected it in post production, that’s a different story.
Thanks. There are simple audio routing ways to send uncorrected audio to the singer on stage and the corrected one to the audience, but does take extra channel on the mixer. Normally the singer might hear some phase or chorus like effect, but not the audience. This is similar to how Waves Rack system or similar large format digital mixing desks achieve live vocal pitch-correction.
Thanks. You can always reduce the pitch-correction effect. I had mine here over 50% for demonstration purpose. But, I agree. Learning how to sing on pitch is much more enjoyable.
just go my model 12, best purchase i've made, having a lot of fun with my band
This is one of the most informative videos about the Model 12 on RUclips , Great Job!!!!!

Can you recommend an effective method of vocal doubling on the T-12 without breaking the bank? Thank you.
I already have a demo of free vocal double in this video.
I’m considering buying one, how long have you had it and how are you enjoying it ? Any advice before buying it ?

Eerlijk gezegd vind ik de PitchCorrected stem minder mooi, ietwat rafeliger en zeker minder authentiek klinken !
