    Just a tip. If you wrap your spinach, kale, baby greens, etc. with a couple sheets of paper towels in those plastic containers they will last almost twice a long because the paper towels absorb the moisture that makes them wilt.

    Christine, thank you for this video series. You are showing us that eating healthy can be easy and delicious and beautiful to the eye. Prepping and basic recipes are time savers. It's surprises me how much money I save by going vegan a few years ago. My grocery cost was cut in half. It's amazing how cheap it is when you stick to the outside aisles/produce section. You're always so satiated also. My dream is to go raw vegan at least 80/20. Then I'd really be saving! It's just hard to fully commit to having to prepare every single thing.

    Hello! I have been meaning to mention nut milk bags to you regarding celery juicing. I know that you are saving for a juicer... I have both a juicer and a Vita-Mix. I have found that blending a "head" of celery in the Vita-Mix(w/1/8-1/4 cup of water) and straining it through a nut milk bag, it is way more beneficial. Leaves way less waste (palm size amount of "pulp") and is much easier to clean. Juicers can take quite a bit to clean. Milk Nut bags are very cheap ($10.00). :)

    • @missleigh5544
      @missleigh5544 2 года назад

      We just always drink out of Mason jars. Yes, the same jars used for preserves. I don’t know why but that’s what we do. Plus, the smoothies we make are about 28-40 ounces so a jar holds more than a glass.

    Does the nori have any flavor? I have hesitated buying it for fear it's too fishy or salty. But have never tried it.

    • @rubyat2435
      @rubyat2435 5 лет назад +1

      Tracy Patterson I have the same one Christine has. It does have a strong fishy flavor unfortunately. I guess the secret to avoiding the flavor is to practice wrapping it really tight around the filling to avoid too much of the nori. Also, eating a roll right after making it keeps it a little fresher than letting it sit for longer. Hope this helps :)

    thanks for sharing your healthy eating. its one thing to share what your eating ,but to suggest health requirements for others is a different thing since you arent actually a nutritionist ,for example suggesting a woman whos iron deficient supplement her requirements with a hand full of dandelion leaves is careless on your behalf,you would need at least 100gm to get to just 20%of daily iron requirements !! i know your only promoting what you eat, but be mindful that young girls who may want to become veganmaybe watching your channel and may think your diet is healthy and in many ways it isnt (for everyone)

    I thought that if you were trying to avoid or lower your glucose (stop from getting diabetes) that you should avoid carbs. I realize that you aren't eating "normal carbs" like bread, rice and regular potatoes. Also, I know you do yoga and you mention you and Michael go to the gym. How often - daily? And is this the only type of exercise you get? The food you make always looks so good. I would love to be able to have someone shop and prepare it for me! We just got a Sprouts where I live in California but everyone says it's expensive. I haven't been yet.

      sadiejosiemom interesting they never show that they actually go to the gym. I'm beginning to think this is all a bunch of BS. I feel she is obsessing again. It's too bad she really doesn't know what she's doing regarding eating healthy.

    • @mandyc236
      @mandyc236 5 лет назад +4

      Sprouts is actually very cheap for produce if not one of the cheapest. And complex carbs like the ones she eats do not cause diabetes. Complex carbs and obesity do. Many people think obesity means being 500lbs But You could be just a couple pounds over your BMI & be close to obesity.
