    Cool! now that it's spring/ summer, our diets are so parallel! I had cabbage tacos a few days ago. I drain canned beans n squeeze with my hands, add some pico de gallo ...and..go! I DO think everyone should read up on sugars, tho. I eat fewer fruits, except for the berries n melons.....oh, plus I eat avocado mostly every day.

    • @BellinaSkyBright
      @BellinaSkyBright 5 лет назад

      Haha, Folate is the ONLY thing way over for me, like it's 300%! I eat breakfast cereal (usually special K) which has it added. I haven't had the chance to get my new healthy diet fruit and veg shopping yet, but even if I took the cereal away, I got over with spinach(66%), lettuce (23%) and Marmite, it's yeast extract (49%), I am British so I dunno if it is available for you, Marmite is a traditional spread for us! I will trade that info for tips on how to get Zinc and Omegas!

    Christine have you ever tried or heard of super greens or dried greens superfood powders? My mom used to make green smoothies with produce and a super food green powder, its supposed to be really good for you.
    I also want to say and I hope you read this, thank you for sharing these changes with us. I may never eat exactly or similarly to the way you eat but these videos DO INSPIRE ME to eat better and make better and healthier food choices for my family as the main cook. Thanks girl for all the inspo., recipes and uploads. Ps. Try some steamed potatoes in your tacos so yummy.
    ALSO have you ever put Spirulina powder in your smoothies? Doing my research I will probably go that route vs the chia seeds, having to soak them and then them releasing gel isn't for me and the whole being careful about eating them dry kinda spooks me lol.

      Ann Jurgens I’m so sorry to hear about your iron deficiency trouble. My iron has been chronicically low that I’ve had to have iron intravenously given to me for months. But! I finally figured out that it wasn’t my diet. Well, not entirely. Your body MUST hve a significant amount of vitamin C with the iron. So, I was eating the right stuff, just not in the right order. Here’s my suggestion:
      First thing in the AM, take an iron supplement and immediately take 1000mg of vit C. Then drink beet juice throughout the day. Do this for a month. When your iron is where it needs to be, you will know. Then ease off of the iron, but keep up the vitamin C. See if that works for you!

I am all for eating a healthy balanced diet which I do but it seems like from the moment she is awake to the evening before bed ALL she does and thinks about is what am I going to eat next. @@staceymodera8324 I'm not saying the actual cooking and prepping of the meals is difficult. I'm referring to the thought process and always thinking about what this ingredient does or how much X amount of nutrients this half of a nut does etc. etc. Just way to much over thinking and analyzing. Yes, I do think you should be conscientious about what you put in your body but what I am saying is some people can go way overboard and to the extreme.

      j_lizbeth How is this any different than someone counting calories & fat for weight loss? Or someone into fitness & weight lifting counting their macros? And as someone mentioned above, this is a new venture for her but will soon become second nature. And yes, people can definitely go overboard with anything, but she’s hitting all her goals on the Cronometer. She’s literally getting all the sufficient nutrients her body needs. Like all of them. Why wouldn’t someone want that for their body?
