- I recently received a new laptop in for service. The primary reason it's here is to get this crappy "S Mode" disabled. In this video, I'll go over the basics on what S mode is and then attempt to get out of it without the need for a Microsoft Account.

Omg tysm I was searching for HOURS and tried EVERYTHING but this and it worked. The explanation that you had and just everything man this helped me a lot. The first method worked for me even though you said it was patched. You earned a sub
Your video saved me. After 6 hours of searching, you tubing etc, it actually worked. Might want to include that they may need the recovery key to complete the process. Thank you!
I had this video saved as backup, thank God I did. You're awesome!! Got this laptop for a loved one and I didn't want to sign onto a Microsoft account
Finally great work mate!
Thank you for sharing! This helped me immensely
Dude, you saved the day. Thank you for sharing this video. Peace!!
Thank you! - this excellent advice just helped me to escape from Windows S jail!
Thanks sir, that's was very helpful
There is one other solution to this and that is to get rid of Windows 11 and install Linux. That'a what I have done. My new laptop came with Windows 11 and it was in S Mode. I took one look at it and I hated it and Windows 11 is not like the Windows we used to know. So I wiped the drive and installed Linux Mint which I am now using full time. You have to first disable secure boot in the Bios and if there is a legacy boot setting make sure that is enabled. Then disable the TPM. Once you have done that you can install Linux and you will never have to deal with these problems again. I don't know how people put up with Windows the way it is now. I used to like it when we had Windows 7 but that's no longer supported. So we cannot use that now and Windows 10 and 11 is nothing like 7. So I am never going back to Windows.
You cannot install linux without getting out S mode i think. They locked down bootloader
@@coshvjicujmlqef6047 No they haven't. Not on my laptops. Both were HP laptops that came with Windows 11 in S Mode. I just disabled TPM and disabled Secure Boot and enabled Legacy Boot. Then I went ahead and booted into Linux Mint live CD then when I saw that everything was working I deleted the Windows 11 partitions then installed Linux Mint. You can also wipe the drive that works. Windows is gone and you can install whatever version of Linux you want.
oh that suck memory channel is single channel mode ouch
i have my Microsoft account only sing into the app store
this does not work anymore
I can’t even ‘Get’ ‘Switch out of S Mode’ from the Microsoft Store. Nothing’s happening at all 🤯
Be sure to watch my other video linked below the description on how to get out of S Mode. The procedure I use does not involve the Switch out of S Mode app.
@@CubeComputerChannelHi this method does not work on my hp laptop
