Well, I have to admit I was a tad skeptical at first, but wow, they turned out absolutely beautiful, so much nicer than just giving them a coat of gold and calling it good. Can't wait to try this!

I like this idea for my front door instead of a wreath.
Thinking of wrapping the cans with a textured clay...
I will use my homemade clay of cooked glue and cornstarch, sort of a polymer clay,
much cheaper for larger art projects.
The bells would also look great painted with copper or bronze acrylic paint, and a faux
vert-de-gris.

I rarely comment on any videos but I love watching them but Maddie I just have to say you are incredible and thank you for taking the time to make this video I need to make these bells but much larger I was thinking of using an oatmeal container because I need them really big I made a 4 foot diameter Wreath so I need the bells to be much larger and I didn’t know how I was going to make that bump on the top and I absolutely love that ball idea now I have to go on a hunt looking for the ball. Store bells are super expensive so I doubt you will be paying more for the paints.

Those heavy duty tunes can come from aluminum foil. I save them too. I you make tiny version of these bells using the shot cups from Solo you van use the cardboard tube from a metal coat hanger that you get from the cleaners.

I LOVE your bells and I'm going to make some. I've already made four bells from paper cups and hung them on a wreath over my fireplace. However, I like your bells much better. The only thing I would do differently is to create a 'weld' that holds the top on. To do this all you have to do is use your glue gun and go around. I swear it looks exactly like a weld.
I don't think my bells will hold up year after year simply because they are wax-coated paper cups and might get squashed when they're packed. Better to go with something stronger like what you used. Thank you for sharing this with us!!!!
