Ah! Now I know what to do with the pinecones I collected a few weeks ago from the parking lot at work! (It is surrounded by pine trees and the cones just roll out onto the tarmac). Thanks! Lovely!

I started making my own ornaments out of necessity in my first home and continue to do so years later. It was so much fun creating from materials found in my cupboards, from vintage book pages to costume jewelry. There’s such a sense of satisfaction when you’ve made it yourself and spent very little money in doing so.

It looks lovely for fall decorations but Christmas is about color. I couldn't be happy if I didn't have beautiful reds, greens, blues, gold and silver in my home to celebrate the holidays.
If that’s what you love then go for it! I prefer a more natural look at the moment 🤎
Thank you for these beautiful and reasonably priced Christmas decorations. I have lots of chandelier crystals! My kids are coming from LA to my Midwest home for Christmas for the first time. We usually escape the cold and go to California. I’m very excited so I want to add has much sparkle and twinkle to my copper, as possible, for the grand children. We are hoping for snow😊

@@RuralRefurb I am actually painting wooden ones to add to the ones I have purchased at craft as well as decor stores. There is probably a way to preserve real mushrooms but I haven’t looked into doing it myself just yet!!

I love the pine cone swags. I would’ve use the other end of the cone and use a dab of hot glue. If you don’t use too much glue, it won’t be detectable. Beautiful!
They are incredibly heavy Cindy and the glue I have won’t hold them 😊

As usual, wonderful projects to contemplate. I absolutely love having a project on my TO DO list . I do have access to unlimited pinecones , so I am very fortunate. I have them in swags, on evergreen filled baskets, as ornaments , you can even put them atop candle sticks like trees. Looking forward to the next one! It is rather funny that I am so attracted to your channel, when my color palette is the exact opposite! haha I have always loved very deep, jewel tones with lots of contrast. Darkest navy blue, with merlots, burnt oranges, deep moss greens. But your style lends itself so well to the style of your home. Keep smiling and imparting your wisdom!
