GOAT decade for movies if we’re being honest (the whole New Hollywood era really), especially if we’re talking about Hollywood. Also the best combination between popularity and quality. All the inspiration from previous decades in film history, how society was at that point, so on… led to that culmination of non-stop terrific movies. That was the peak of it all. Furthermore, you have amazing stuff from all kinds of genres and such… the diversity aligned with the value is also crazy to think of.
there's NO WAY The Exorcist, which was such a ballsy revolutionary movie back in 73..and highly influential..would be anywhere below number 10. my Top 10 (as objectively as possible): 1 The Godfather & The Godfather Part II - AGREED on counting this as one giant epic masterpiece 2 Star Wars - just for the groundbreaking space opera it was 3 The Exorcist - there's no horror movie that's come close to topping it...and aside from that, it's just a really great movie classic that not only broke grounds but also shocked global audience 4 Jaws - the movie that started summer blockbusters 5 Apocalypse Now - it's the definitive Nam movie of the era of 'Nam 6 Taxi Driver 7 Chinatown 8 A Clockwork Orange 9 One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest 10 Rocky - no one can deny just how iconic it is...both as sports movie and a movie about a true underdog

@@Desh727 I do like DDA. Just missed the list actually
Love seeing Sorcerer on the list. Surprised Death Wish didn’t make it.
Who still can't believe Annie Hall beat Star Wars for best picture?
I take it this is your personal list. Because there is no way "Halloween" would be above "The Exorcist" in box office records...
What happened to "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers"? Donald Southerland.
Enter the Dragon gets my vote for number !
Mad Max (1979) should have made this list.
Ten that didn't make your list: Sleuth, Electra Glide in Blue, Report to the Commissioner, Assault on Precinct 13, Across 110th Street, The Last Waltz, The Beguiled, Cooley High, The Poseidon Adventure and Straight Time.

Amerucab Graffiti is included!
Halloween isn't a better movie than Clockwork orange, no way José
Serpico?
"annie hall" has got to be the most overrated movie of all time.
L take
American Beauty, The Graduate, & The King’s Speech are all vastly more overrated.
@@patrickc3419 agreed, but i'll take those 3 over "annie hall" any day.
I'll watch it because of your comment AND I'll tell you
