Superb little camera. Not been a big Nikon fan, but this camera gives superb results. Beats most other compacts hands down, including Panasonics 1” sensor range. Thank you for a good all-round review.
Yea I thought that 1 inch panasonic camera gave soft images. At least the 1st iteration did.

You kind of make it sound like this is the only compact with super zoom lol Screams tiny 1/2.3 sensor to me, but I do like the slip down screen and would probably defo consider it if it has a mic jack. Does it have a mic jack?
No, no mic jack. Microphone is built-in.

There is no shoe for installing a flash or a microphone, there are also no coverters for installing additional macro and light filters, so this is an ordinary soap dish with 4k
This is a point and shoot camera, not a pro level camera. I am a semi-pro shooter (have made a fair bit of money over 50 years in photography) and use real cameras when I need to. But for carrying on a vacation, or going into places (like some festivals which prohibit 'serious cameras, those with interchangeable lenses) this should fit the bill nicely. I hope to upgrade to this camera from my Lumix as my pocket camera. In particular, I like the viewfinder-using one not only provides a superior view, it helps make the camera more steady.

It would be helpful.
You need a “chicken foot” monopod to appreciate zoom moves in video shooting for extra stability.
For some reason, Nikon does not know how to sell this model in the US.
I hope to buy one used….
can you put this on a wall and do selfie timer with screen up.. answer = NO
This camera only have screen down, if you have company you don´t need that, just focus your partner, set the timer and you are on your way.

Why not try to take a picture on him when you zoom out max?
And was that handheld? ....I think not 🤔 ...And still it was looking really bad😯....Not a word about IS in body or bad digital?
And you dident show any selfie?

And the camera you filming from seems to have big problem with light.

This camera is excelent if (for many situations) and only if YOU CAREFULLY STUDY THE MANUAL. I think there is no camera on the market that can get rid of an stupid fotographer. Avoid photos with maximum zoom, use it just for specifid situations. Constantly using maximum zoom is one of the 5 greatest vices many photographers have.
Problems with auto focus left behind, a no go review! Thumbs down!
