Fix The DANGEROUS Jeep WJ Sway By Replacing This | A-Arm Replacement

- Today we replace the famous Boomerang in Jeep WJs called the A-arm! The A-arm also has a balljoint so definitely replace both at the same time. This Job can be challenging especially if you live in a rusty area, but this is needed to help your WJ Drive straight going down the highway! I felt my Jeep really unstable especially on turns, so it was time to replace it!

You've got more patience than me mate I would have gone off like Donald duck by now 😂😀👍
😂 you didn’t see the parts I cut out haha
I also put an Iron Rock, Addco big sway bar on the rear, transforms cornering like you would not believe. I think it's 1 inch or 7/8 inch, but barely any body roll when cornering fast. It will sometimes make a dull thud when it touches the fuel tank shield, but worth it. Next I want to lower 1 inch.
This is one i left to the shop LOL, i watched your other video when you changed it on the black jeep and said no thank youuu
I feel you on that😂 sometimes these can be a pain
A tip for future reference. Put jack stands under the frame. Let that suspension droop a little, then its a piece of cake. Still need a ratchet strap tho.
Yea that’s what I did! I used the jack to get the angle👌
changed mine when installing the lift. definitely sucked fighting all those rusty bolts and getting them lined back up, but was a great improvement
It Must be sooo nice working on jeeps without rust
It really is😂
@@NajarOffroad I live in Michigan and we have plenty of WJs with good powertanes and frames that are just rotted to the core.
This is an easy job jonathan compared to those map lights lol😂😂
😂
I bought a new one Then put 4" lift on my 01 took it off an got the one from Iron Rock Offroad !! 👍
The IRO is worth the upgrade👌
Good advice. My Rough Country A-arm is shot (no surprise) so planning on replacng with IRO.
You buy the adjustable one from IRO?
Its the drag link up front that causes the problem
I just started getting death wobble when i drive over a random acorn... what do you suggest? thanks sir~!
I'm too busy paying rent...
I feel that brother!
I'd be very careful hammering in those bolts like that. I had a situation with mine where that nbut in there came loose fro it's seat and i spent HOURS with my pinky trying to fish it back straight with the hole.. tore up my pinky but i got it..
Just replaced both of mine and it was wore out in the same place !!!!
Nice did you feel the difference?
@NajarOffroad not sure I need a rebuild for my Trans I've tried 2 used and there junk had to return them where do I get a rebuild kit for the transmission in desperate need of it ???
Does this have to do with death wobble? I fixed it temporarily but its been coming back
This is more with the Jeep swaying you notice it more on the freeway from the rear end but you will notice yourself correcting the steering here and there but not death wobble
I ended up getting the kit from core4x4
Nice that’s an Upgrade💪
Did you run any of your old WJs on the stock a arm while lifted? Mine have been squeaking ever since the lift but hasn't had any actual issues after 2.5 years. Im sure the H.O stresses the chassis a lot more lol
I have an IRO A Arm in my lifted WJ
I was the first Like whoop whoop
That’s right💪 thanks for the support brotha!
@@NajarOffroad no problem man. I got a zj but I like the content. Keep up the good work 🤜
I just did this for the 2nd time. I bought a 21mm ratcheting wrench specifically for those 3 bolts. Back them all out evenly and it can be done. Just be careful. If you go to far....
Haha yea or else they get stuck😂 been there
Gear wrench makes a reversable ratcheting wrench, I too have one just for this job
