I was hoping for a storyline in MW 2 (remake) where Shepherd and elements in the US military just decided to screw over 141 and Shadow Company and this time around, the PMC's are actually the good guys.
Thing is Graves actually gives a shit abt his people, he may be a PMC commander and a mercenary but he’s still a soldier at heart and cares for his brothers and sisters, he already had to deal with Shepard not allowing him to save Diapolo’s squad when the missiles were stolen in MW2, and now most likely they’ll have to have another coverup for all the gas stolen in Shadow Siege, eventually Graves will have enough of covering up his soldiers’ deaths for Shepard’s incompetence, we know some of 141 are willing to reconcile with him considering the S5 cutscene but I feel maybe if he helps bring Shepard to Justice or just kill him is how Shadow Company and him can be fully redeemed or at the very least on-and-off allies again
I doubt that. My guess is that Makarov will continue to use Shadow Company to his benefit, perhaps even in the main storyline of MW3. Given that we only heard Shepherd's voice in the opening cutscene, I would speculate that by use of voice editing software coupled with Shadow Company's encryption algorithm that they use for their communications (another gift from the raid on the convoy carrying the missiles), Makarov ordered Graves to secure and transport the chemicals. The Konni mercenaries that Shadow Company faced down at the observatory, were there to provide and maintain the illusion of fervently defending the chemical weapons from their grasp. same I was Hoping they Paused this Mw series and Just Ball deep into Cod Ghost 2 and continuing Logan story ( still curious for what happen to him btw )
Despite my problems with how the COD franchise is proceeding, I always love that characters are allowed to develop a personality. I was honestly hoping Graves would comment something like, "Nice hair." to Oz. So when he instead gave him a couple fist bumps to the dome it was beyond satisfying.
Hypothetical: Shepherd is really a Russian Spy working alongside Makarov and Graves is just a Lapdog/ Double Agent. They collectively just led Shadow Teams into a Trap!
Not having Army Rangers, Delta Force, and Navy SEALs like the original MW trilogy was the biggest letdown for the new trilogy. Besides that Graves and Alejandro are the best characters in the new trilogy so far so at least he’s back.
Don't compare apples to oranges. We all love the original trilogy, but we can't have it be exactly the same. otherwise, it wouldn't be anything stellar or great
i think this sets up shepherd’s plan to orchestrate a war similar to the og MW2 (where he put Joseph Allen undercover knowing that makarov knew, and in this reveal event, i know theres a line where shepherd says that konni probly knew shadows were coming and the ending says it all) shepherd wants to orchestrate a war to cover the failure that of the missiles being stolen, to focus the attention on fighting Makarov and same as the motivation of the og shepherd, to become a “war hero”
Graves is undeniably a corporate scumbag on a PMC level, but you can't knock that professional swagger he exudes. You love to hate him, and that means they did a good job.
@@PadissX he probably didn’t here them, just saw that they were talking. That actually might be what tipped him off is that he saw they were talking but not over the mic
I wish the graphics were as good as MW2. Nice to now Graves is still out there. Betrayal scenes are always the best. The silent pause when the Shadow asks Makarov’s men who they were contacting was great.
Sure, Konni secured some gas, but only one chopper full, and their facility is gone. Not a total failure. Still enough to cause some damage, which im sure we will see in MW3.
The mode itself is fun. Im not a big pvp person so I welcome more pve content. I would love to have shadow siege or some form of it as a permanent large scale co op mode. I'd play the crap out of it.
- Stolen missiles - Covering up the fact said missiles were stolen - Committing intentional friendly fire - Terrorism of a Mexican town - Having the chemical weapons you just extracted with stolen You two have a lot to answer for.
@@EliFlores-fe5cd Ground Wars but it's PVE I guess.. I mean you don't often play with other plays on a DMZ scale (32-36 total per DMZ match I think...?) But only against Bots instead of PVPVE.
In my gta verse, Graves never actually betrayed Task force 141. The whole shadow company turning on Task force was orchestrated by Rodolfo Parra of Vaqueros. He had helped with second or third in command codenamed Peacemaker and Homelander. General shepherd doesn’t exist in this world because he already long ago died by Soap MacTavish in 2009. During world war 3. Ww3 existed in the timeline but it ended long ago. But instead General Perlman takes his place and Perlman hired shadow company to deal with the missiles and of course has his own agenda. Peacemaker has shadows to turn 141 and some soldiers are hypnotized while some are loyal willingly
beyond the based-ness of shadow company and the skins/customization debate, can we all agree this is one of the best wz aligned events of recent, like, ever? mass co op pve on that big ass map, felt like you took a battlefield match and smashed it with a cod campaign it was sick
like id kill for more of this kind of stuff, mass co op pve, worked into the story, hell if you want to make it a season thing and sell skins or whatever you can, but you keep the vibes of the actual game and make it cool as fuck while doing so. bonus points for no pvp, its cool and all but sometimes working with people is more fun than against
When that Shadow Soldier got killed straight away, and I was like oh shit wtf just happened then, I realized they are Makarov's guys that swap their uniforms into Shadow Company with their patches under Shadow Company's.
idk why but every time that i see random operator’s in cod mw, i start to think how deadly they’re could be in combat, maybe there’s someone up there that is good enough like simon or captain price.
This is what I say everytime when we are bout ready to jump from the plane or Battle Bus"Now are We Good To Get Some!??...I SAID ARE WE GOOD TO GET SOME !!!! Ok Lock it in Squad! Let's GO!!!
These scenes have me thinking Graves/The Shadows won't be villains in MW3. Yes, they'll still be in opposition to 141, but it's likely Shepard will pin everything on Graves and he'll be forced to go Rogue and maybe team up with the rest of 141.
I think Graves will get set up as the fall guy and the FBI get him. Oz takes over as Shepard’s lap dog and all of Graves’ loyalists are executed. They then kill Kate Laswell. Ghost, Roach, and Soap eliminate Oz and SC and deal with Shepard. Ghost and Soap clear Graves name and he is exonerated of all charges and Shepard is blamed. Graves is broken that his empire is destroyed and all his soldiers are dead. Him and 141 choose to forgive each other then he goes on and retires to his family. SC are not in the picture but Delta Force, FSB, and Demon Dogs are there to fight Makarov. A different ending to SC which is more tragic but good storytelling. A mature ending.
@@ericweekes136 Yeah I like that a lot. There's a good chance that we won't see Graves or Alex again in the next game. They both had "deaths" in game and were brought back in Warzone (Alex didn't make it back to the mainline story in MW2). Still, I like the idea of Oz being a villain- his character design is sweet.

POV: when you took a short nap from a lecture.
I think we all agree that this was better than the MWIII campaign itself.
100%
Phil Graves, yet another CoD villain who is equally (if not more) interesting than the main characters..... I still want a game about the bad guy in CoD Ghost, Gabriel Rourke. He was a badass.
same I was Hoping they Paused this Mw series and Just Ball deep into Cod Ghost 2 and continuing Logan story ( still curious for what happen to him btw )
Unpopular opinion but I hope they will make COD Ghost 2.
@@FMJParis18not Rlly unpopular amymore
Rorke was trash
Despite my problems with how the COD franchise is proceeding, I always love that characters are allowed to develop a personality. I was honestly hoping Graves would comment something like, "Nice hair." to Oz. So when he instead gave him a couple fist bumps to the dome it was beyond satisfying.
Hypothetical: Shepherd is really a Russian Spy working alongside Makarov and Graves is just a Lapdog/ Double Agent. They collectively just led Shadow Teams into a Trap!
They did a good job making Graves likeable
that twist at the end was shocking
I still believe Phillip Graves and Shadow Company were the best part of this games campaign.
2:10 holy fuck. What a twist
What I don't get is how 2 Russians were able to become a part of Shadow Company
@@averageamogusenjoyer5240 i tjink they just disguised themselves and got into the heli. They were probably speaking english when they got in
@@Mutaracha1 I think an English-speaking Russian would be easily noticed
Not having Army Rangers, Delta Force, and Navy SEALs like the original MW trilogy was the biggest letdown for the new trilogy.
Besides that Graves and Alejandro are the best characters in the new trilogy so far so at least he’s back.
I reckon they will all return bc makarov planning to destroy the world again in mw3
@@Spectre-tv7withat’s what I’m thinking too
Don't compare apples to oranges. We all love the original trilogy, but we can't have it be exactly the same. otherwise, it wouldn't be anything stellar or great
I mean there's Marines in the Campaign at least till some absolutely retarded ass planning gets most of them killed
2:30 All headshots. I liked the detail where 2 shots had to be fired on the first guy. One to the chest, second to the head.
Shadow Company: Graves, bad news. We got robbed again!
Shadow siege was easily one of, if not the best community event in the modern era of cod. So much better than the Cold War and vanguard reveal events
Yes it was 100% and I'd say it was better than what we got with BO6 which was essentially nothing
*A L R I G H T ! L E T S G E T L O C K A N D L O A D E D !*
i think this sets up shepherd’s plan to orchestrate a war similar to the og MW2 (where he put Joseph Allen undercover knowing that makarov knew, and in this reveal event, i know theres a line where shepherd says that konni probly knew shadows were coming and the ending says it all)
shepherd wants to orchestrate a war to cover the failure that of the missiles being stolen, to focus the attention on fighting Makarov and same as the motivation of the og shepherd, to become a “war hero”
I hope we get to see more of Graves and Shadow Company in the Modern Warfare series.
2:47 PMC "Vagner" lmao
Konni is likely inspired by Wagner PMC.
Why does a Russian PMC have the name of a german ?
Graves is undeniably a corporate scumbag on a PMC level, but you can't knock that professional swagger he exudes. You love to hate him, and that means they did a good job.
I like the idea of two PMC groups going head to head
Those shadow company operators at the end did not pick up any red flags when that guy spoke Russian or I assume they didn’t hear it
Straight up lol why didnt they start blasting dude right then and there
I’m assuming y’all have never rode in a helicopter before, cus unless you’re on a mic you can’t here shit
@@Dragon11730everything nice and cool but why when one shadow hears them others doesnt? It is make no sense
@@PadissX He didn't hear, he saw
@@PadissX he probably didn’t here them, just saw that they were talking. That actually might be what tipped him off is that he saw they were talking but not over the mic
Graves is a bad guy yes but we all love to have a motivating team leader like him, Im glad MW keeping him alive.
I like how they're in the plane and that red light illuminates them signifying that they're bad guys
Graves is such a likeable dude I swear he’s just a dope ops leader
Shadow Company really can't get a single mission done correctly 😭😭😭
Da. When will the cons start?)
Hard to get missions done right when you take order from a traitor that wants the bad guys to win to create a war.
@@AgheroshLies.
2:43 Nolan has a baby face
Fun Fact the Actor of Nolan worked with the Actor of Price in a TV Series
Commander Graves, the best character in the rebooted series.
The twist is insane 💀♠️
“If you wanna get shit done, he’s the man to have in charge.”
The mode itself is fun. Im not a big pvp person so I welcome more pve content. I would love to have shadow siege or some form of it as a permanent large scale co op mode. I'd play the crap out of it.
Fr, I hate playing against sweats. Sometimes (almost all the time) I’d rather play against cracked AI
- Stolen missiles
- Covering up the fact said missiles were stolen
- Committing intentional friendly fire
- Terrorism of a Mexican town
- Having the chemical weapons you just extracted with stolen
You two have a lot to answer for.
this is by far the best Event ever in Cod history why can't every event be like this
what makes it so special im lost never played COD in my life
@@EliFlores-fe5cd
Ground Wars but it's PVE I guess..
I mean you don't often play with other plays on a DMZ scale (32-36 total per DMZ match I think...?)
But only against Bots instead of PVPVE.
I love how graves is caring to his men!!! Love em shadows
I was hoping the reboot version of Yuri would be there in the ending. That would’ve been awesome
Fr, the guy taking his mask off felt disappointing
Since it's a reboot I wished it was yuri and that he stays loyal to Makarov like his 2nd command
Makarov: Execute order 66
Ivan: Yes commander
0:24 glad there are different body types, not every NPC lifts the same
Damn so cool, I am excited...
Graves is easily the coolest character in the MW remakes. Slightly cooler than Ghost even or Price.
Imagine a shadow company campaign.I literally love Shadow company from the reboot and the OG mw
Graves will probably want a raise for all the messes he has to clean up for Shepherd
i love when he is encouraging the soldiers with the 'are you ready to get some!'
Christ Shadow Company cant catch a break jesus
I'm glad to see him back
Graves made me feel like I was back in the Army during a mission brief. Bro hyped my ass up! Damn Fucking right were good to get some!

Grave: Oz, you lack of sleep, didn't yah?!
2:25 they were saying BLYAT
Shadow company is so cool
I farted on that plane before dropping lol
beyond the based-ness of shadow company and the skins/customization debate, can we all agree this is one of the best wz aligned events of recent, like, ever? mass co op pve on that big ass map, felt like you took a battlefield match and smashed it with a cod campaign it was sick
like id kill for more of this kind of stuff, mass co op pve, worked into the story, hell if you want to make it a season thing and sell skins or whatever you can, but you keep the vibes of the actual game and make it cool as fuck while doing so. bonus points for no pvp, its cool and all but sometimes working with people is more fun than against
Too bad BO6 didn't have an event like this
Shadow company and Phil be carrying mw3 on their fkn shoulders at this point
Well done job guys from PMC "Konni".
More precisely - from the "Red Spetsnaz".
i miss this event! man this shit was hype
Shadow company is back!? They're my favorite faction so thats dope
That crazy twist in the end! Damn!
When that Shadow Soldier got killed straight away, and I was like oh shit wtf just happened then, I realized they are Makarov's guys that swap their uniforms into Shadow Company with their patches under Shadow Company's.
We saw the Video.
Of the characters that are introduced/reintroduced with the Modern Warfare Reboots, Graves does exude a certain charisma the others don't.
Graves came back and just like Alex he has dark brown hair despite being blonde in the campaign
idk why but every time that i see random operator’s in cod mw, i start to think how deadly they’re could be in combat, maybe there’s someone up there that is good enough like simon or captain price.
This is what I say everytime when we are bout ready to jump from the plane or Battle Bus"Now are We Good To Get Some!??...I SAID ARE WE GOOD TO GET SOME !!!!
Ok Lock it in Squad! Let's GO!!!
Think what you want about Graves. He takes care of his men, and he shows it.
These scenes have me thinking Graves/The Shadows won't be villains in MW3. Yes, they'll still be in opposition to 141, but it's likely Shepard will pin everything on Graves and he'll be forced to go Rogue and maybe team up with the rest of 141.
Don't do that don't give me hope
@@ericweekes136I wouldn't count on Oz, so far, they haven't used any multiplayer operator in the campaigns other than the main ones, sadly.
Man, Shadow Company cannot catch a break...
Graves must've been cursed by a bruja or something.

I love the end trailer, with the night vision goggles
