I honestly like both portrayals of Makarov. The original one to me just feels more iconic because of how extreme his character is. If you really think about it, his personality is super over the top but that’s what makes him memorable. This new iteration of Makarov feels more genuine to a real person. The original Makarov cares little of his men, they're pawns for his agendas, replaceables. This new Makarov is a leader, an inspirational leader some may even say, but not the same. Too relaxed, quite charismatic, but above all, too emotional, and worst is, generic. Not a bad villain, but a completely different one. Then again, calling this game a reboot of MW3 is delusional.

His performance is not lousy, just average. I think he needs a scene of great importance like "No Rusian of 2009". That defined Makarov as a villain to be feared. That this Makarov has tattoos all over his body and has some dialogue in Russian, doesn't make him a villain at all.
You just dont see his intelligence because your intelligence is low aswell. The Actor did a pretty damn good job in the Helicopter saying "Herschel" in a Texan like accent and "i promise" in a scottish he teased both characters that he will get them Also how easily he killed Soap show his skill. This might sound weird but I think they broke makarov out of prison too fast. I think he would seem like more of a threat when you and the characters realise that he operates his units from prison
12:27 that smile looks too kind for the character 💀
That's why he's a badass ❤
Fnaf animatronics after stuffing me in the suit after the 100000th time:
he so fine tho.
They made a mockery of the original trilogy so hard.
I love Makarov glory to Russia !! 💙
"Remember...No Russian!" said by Makarov. What a memorable line/quote since the original MW story.
When in this vid?
Makarov and Graves my favourite💪🏽‼️
I love the new makarov because he actually cares about his men and knows how to fight as well meanwhile the old makarov was more evil and didn’t care about his men and just used them and he also didn’t know how to fight
Personally this version of Vladimir Makarov is my favourite character from cod Frenchies
Makarov is crazy he doesn't care everyone...
He care about his men
Sure, the MW3 Makarov was more badass and evil, but this Makarov on MWIII portrays what an actual terrorist could be. Sure, he looks like an ordinary Russian guy yet again we're judging people by their looks in our time aren't we?.
Your point makes no sense, the old Makarov was definitely what a terrorist can be. I mean look at the leaders of Hamas living in Dubai and shit while demanding the citizens of Palestine use themselves as human shields
I mean, no, he obliterated a whole city with a nuclear bomb in Modern Warfare 1 and causes a Third World War in Modern Warfare 2, the og is a real terrorist with so much power that The tasks force really had to sacrifice all for finally kill him, there is no comparison.
I was thinking that OG For some reason gives me... A non-terrorist vibe... This one gives me more of a Villain vibe. And he fits the part very well.
The original Makarov cares little of his men, they're pawns for his agendas, replaceables. A cunning, cold, and emotionless man driven by a strong will to change history, you can hardly call him human.
This new Makarov is a leader, an inspirational leader some may even say, but not the same. Too relaxed, quite charismatic, but above all, too emotional, and worst is, generic. Not a bad villain, but a completely different one.
Then again, calling this game a reboot of MW3 is delusional.
I can’t take modern COD storytelling seriously. It’s so blatantly pro-US they can’t actually criticize 1st world countries for colonialism and proxy wars
Welp, i must agree that this one seems realistic.... It's not as legendary as the original one, but in original he looks like typical hollywood russian villains.... While here he's just a fucking sick manipulator, and probably he is a retired spetsnaz (cause he's fucking smart)
I'm growing to like this new Makarov, not as badass as the old one, but still pretty cool.
More badass than the old one.
This makarov got the best soundtrack
Just noticed they fucked up the cutscene by having you walk past the dude with the sunglasses putting someone in their seat, then 3 seconds later the same guy is standing in the cabin like he wasn't just in the Isle of the plane lol
Stop complaining, if they deliveded the same old Makarov you would have the same narrative changed, This one is more charismatic, looks better and has badass theme
The Actor did a pretty damn good job in the Helicopter saying "Herschel" in a Texan like accent and "i promise" in a scottish he teased both characters that he will get them
Also how easily he killed Soap show his skill.
He attacked a Stadium as "Decoy" killing civilians and bombed a airport. If this dont define him as a badass villain than OG Mak is not a villain too. New Mak Kill count is higher at the same day as OG Mak in MW2.
I like the old version of the characters
Everyone hating on the new Makarov…
My new fave Makarov tbh

Does anyone know what the little leitmotif jingle that plays every time Makarov is on screen is called ?
Old Makarov 😢😢where are you
There is wrong translation 1:36 . "Шесть лет" is translated as four years.
26:21 Can you tell me the name of the song at the end?
That’s not the same Makarov my old best friend was scared to hunt
This new one makes Menendez feel like a Angel of this 🤡
Makarov is too 😎
yo that MiG-28 in the Konni hangar
Julian Kostov did a pretty good job as Makarov
6:11 and 7:47 URA!!!!!! URA!!!!!
This could’ve ended early if captain price didn’t stop soap from killing Makarov then when you play the final campaign of the story it was really sad that soap had to die who know what will happen in the next call of duty
at 8:32 and 9:17 i think is a referance to the girl who died in the OG mw3 tho idk i never played this one
This campaign felt like spec ops missions
Yeah he is not like the OG but I like him
Bro konni is fucking badass
Yeah when I first saw these guys I was like: "Bro! Is Makarov like a President? or Like a Really rich man?" I also wondered how they were more badass looking then shadow company?
I thought captain price had finished him of for good now this I got to see
We'll get the chance next game...
Does anyone know the sountrack name?
Bro thinks hes him
Real Makarov: revenge is like a ghost. It takes over every man it touches. It’s thirst cannot be quenched until the last man has fallen” 😎
“makarov”: they will know the real Russia 🏳️🌈
@@dmitriykinzhebulatovNew Makarov is ben shapiro
@@weplo1597I can’t unsee it now lmao
He's a more realistic version of OG Makarov.
@@dmitriykinzhebulatov I think Makarov was more inspirational than the OG and this game did portray realism terrorism.
Realistically in the OLD MW2-3 Makarov wouldn't get even close to any of the major places. He would be on the worlds number 1 wanted list. He would have every single major country out on the look for him.

Left 4 dead 2 floodlight spotted.
Why the new makarov look kinda different than the old one.
Its because this Universe of Cod is a reboot to the Original. So new character designs, stories, some new villains and characters and the storyline changes a bit but still has hints and references to the original games.
Mf looks like Dustin Poirier
So you're telling me all taht build up for makarov and he gets ran over by a train?
No he didn't get ran over by a train. If you look closely he just escapes with the train delaying price from catching up and also covering his escape.
Makarov is still alive but is recovering and preparing to do more damage to the world.
Makarov returns
US as usual showing themselves as Heroes and those with justices, despite their real actions in Palestine-Isreal's war in real life.
🤛🇵🇸🤜
Phillips grave is american, and he is villian....
It’s a game mate chill out
No doubt about it. CoD has been blatant US propaganda for years now
me when i over-analyze a video game
@@soursalt698bruh the US Army literally relies on COD for recruitment everyone knows that
Nah he took that stab like a champ yall saw that?😭 25:04
Thats why he is better than OG
