How do aftermarket VW Auto Headlights work?

The same setup as this but coming home doesn’t work… they’ve had HID lights installed (previous owner) so maybe that’s got something to do with it

Hm maybe? You may have to use a form of software like Carista or Carly to make sure that it’s enabled on the ECU?

Very cool, how do you code it to do the coming/leaving home lights? What do I need to do/use when I get mine?

With the one I got, you get a little instruction booklet,
But off of the top of my head,‘I remember you have to go from auto to 0 then to full headlights and back to auto and that would code it. But don’t quote me on that, should be easy to find online!😊

​@@BuiltToDesignHi, i got this kinda switch in my mk4 golf, In the box there wasnt any instructions, it said it should be plug and play. Coming and leaving home doesnt work the switch and lights just start blinking and it doesnt stop if i leave the switch to auto.

Do coming/leaving home lights work, as they don’t on mine..

They do for my car, I’m not sure what setup you have?
