That was AWESOME Nancy..Could you tell me how did you manage to isolate & clear the vocals from opening dialogue of Dawn of Justice clip? What software or plugins were you using?
I loved the entire video. The way you show the different styles of villains from the dark, the humorous, to the sympathetic, the music fits perfectly. I also love how it highlights the similarities and differences between the different styles of villains. This, and Meet the Hero, are two great character style studies. Thank you very much for making these videos!
Finally a very well deserved video that gives a tribute to the antagonist on epic stories of the cinema and books. This was really enjoyable for me, thank you.
This was fucking fantastic. Surprised at the lack of villains like Rev. Powell from Night of the Hunter, Beetlejuice, Judge Doom, Tyler Durden, Buffalo Bill, slashers like Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers, Roy Batty from Blade Runner, Count Orlok, Regan MacNeil/Pazuzu, and Frank Booth, but still amazing nonetheless! Can we expect a second one any time soon?
Great work. I didn't mind the music change and the lighter-hearted villains that show up (Home Alone) at the beat fit the tone. Radio Gaga didn't fit well at all, but I didn't mind because it was well edited, showed more villains, and I love the song. Cheers.
You can stop watching this at 2:30. In the first 2:30, music matches the villainous dark tone and it's a pretty cool concept. After that it gets hokey.
You really need to learn the difference between the protagonist and the antagonist. Just because a character would be a bad person in real life does not automatically make them a villain. It centers around the story. Alex, from A Clockwork Orange, for example, while a bad person, is actually the protagonist and therefore not the villain. The scientists performing the experiment on him were the antagonists or villains in that story.
Why is Jared Leto (as the Joker) included? We haven't even seen his performance and you're already pairing him with Hannibal, Darth Vader and the rest...
To be fair ultron was included and his entire film didn't convince me he was something to be compared to Hannibal or Vader....so I guess to answer your question, they threw in anybody.
If you're going to put Heath Ledger's Joker in it, that's great, but then you ARE REQUIRED to put "Richard" from Kiss of the dragon; the best villain I have ever seen in a movie. And I think it must've inspired the Joker, somewhat.
Definitely a cool video but some villains are repeated and repeated too often. Plenty of other good villains out there but perhaps in lesser known films.
I am sure I am not the only person who noticed the deliberate pairing of Blofeld and then Christoph Waltz exclaiming 'Ooo that's a bingo' as Hans Landa.

***** In that case Michael Corleone should be out of the video too. Is interesting the villain-antihero thing, but in my opinion Plainview and Corleone are both villains.
***** i kinda of agree with you, but i see an anti hero as a flawed hero and i don't really see any positive or heroic qualities to the character. i see characters like ryan gosling in Drive an antihero.

My favorite villains are the ones that they actually take the time to sufficiently explain *why* they're a villain, why they are the way they are. Being evil for the sake of being evil seems lazy.
Needing to understand evil is lazy imo. Nothing is more frightening to our psyche that the unknown darkness. Knowing why someone is evil makes us relate, but the scariest villains are the ones we can't relate to, that don't have anything in common with us.
@nwr1615 eh, personal preference I guess but idk someone who is an extremist in their views doesn't really hit the same for me as someone I can't even begin to understand. A villain that thinks they're the hero just sounds like an edge lord or some extremist like I said, like Scar, Hitler, the Joker. But they all pale in comparison to your Patrick Batemans and Ed Geins
Disagree. Making a villain compelling through a tragic background and "moral ambiguity" has become formulaic, predictable and cheap. Making a villain interesting when they're just plain evil and despicable is much harder to do and something only great story tellers can accomplish.
The first part is really good and builds up a lot of atmosphere. I feel like you tricked yourself with the idea of using different music and different genres (first was action, second more like comedy). Should have kept on doing the first part, transitioning into more explosive action scenes. I like this video aswell, but I really need to criticize you this way because I know you are one of the better editors out there.
Peter Hausfrau Agreed. this went from putting a smile on my face and being possibly my favorite movie montages...to falling completely flat a couple minutes before the end.
I agree 100%. It should be different rather than abruptly end what you started building in the first song. The comical bit was not bad it just felt like such a drop from the first part. Maybe the comedy bit first then into the dramatic part. Doesn't fit together at all the way it is now.
Peter Hausfrau I must admit, The Glitch Mob is one of my favorite groups, so I may harbor a bit of bias. That being said, I believe that opening song set such a euphoric and dramatic atmosphere that the other songs failed to maintain. First few minutes, this is one of my favorite montage videos of all time.
Oh the first part! Greatest choice of song and the build up is perfect, but that's just the first part. Thank you so much for the first part...the other parts were awesome too but music killed it for me...but thank you for the video. . .
Best movie montage ever! Lovin Animus Vox at the beginning. Anyone else notice the crossover of Joker lines at 3:50? Heath Ledger's "I don't wanna kill you!" And then Jared Leto's "I'm just gonna hurt you really, really bad." - pure genius right there
great choices, kinda agree with peter about the music, first song was badass, after that one it kinda just lost my interest, regardless pretty awesome video, and who is the guy holding the hammer or axe that comes apart in his hands, right after the nazi from inglorious bastards and the villain from james bond
Typical to see how individuals are pointing out on how badly the video is missing : Insert personal favorite. You've probably spent the whole video "waiting for it" and were so pre-occupied with thinking about the comment you were going to write on this video, that you didn't pay attention to appreciating not only its editing, but if you will, it's nearby perfection.
Great Work on this! I don't know what it is but the Villain is almost always my favorite character in any film. This is my first time seeing your channel. I love Tributes when are done well and this is one is. I'll be subscribed and waiting for another gold nugget like this in the future!
Jordan Paul That is the mark of a great villian in any story... You make the audience have no other choice but to like them so much, they are practically incapable of disliking them. Anyone can write an asshole into a story... but an irresistible one takes serious talent.
Had to log in to say this is one of the best edits let alone videos I've seen in a very long time. Bravo. Really amazing. Tone. Pacing. Music. Everything.
The first 2 minutes and 30 seconds were freaking spectacular; the music fitted the theme of scary / intimidating villains. I'm afraid after that it went all over the place :(
Subscribed. This is out-fucking-standing. Absolutely top shelf. High fucking five. You missed Mickey and Mallory from Natural Born Killers unless I blinked...
I love villains, not the psychos who just have something clearly wrong with them, but the ones you see had a "good" propose, most of the villains are selfish, destructive, envious, killers, insane, "evil" overall. But I love the ones that you don't realize they're villains until you start to give it a good thought. I think that's why I loved Breaking Bad, Death Note, Devil Wears Prada, Mean Girls, etc. Since they're the main characters and they made you see their "evolution", you are on their side until it's evident. Those are everyday villains.
Can’t have an all time villain list and leave out Davy Jones from POTC. When the time finally came that we could be together again. You weren’t there. Why weren’t you there?
First of all:hell, that's all the villains there are! I think you somehow included everyone! Great editing, amazing soundtrack changes, and also-villains! I am a great villain fan, so I really enjoyed this
Villains and 'Radio Ga Ga'
I didn't realize how much I needed that combination in my life.
you should watch Sherlock then

You're welcome
it always has to end with the Joker
To be fair there was a least three different portrayals of the Joker in this video collab.
And start with DARTH VADER!
Well I may be late to this comment but he typically has the last laugh. Like every clown. Or joker. Last laugh
Or Palpatine
Needs a reedit with the new joker 😉

holy dam, this should have way more likes
That was AWESOME Nancy..Could you tell me how did you manage to isolate & clear the vocals from opening dialogue of Dawn of Justice clip? What software or plugins were you using?
Ti amo

Unlike some, I absolutely love the use of Radio Ga Ga. Great job on the editing too.
Me too. It’s such a ridiculous song but it embodies the best of Queen
The four types of villains
1. The supervillain
2.The goofy villain
3. The classy/elegant villain
4. The 'dosn't care' villain
Three cheers for some of the most complex characters we have ever met
And did anyone else feel a rush when he cut the two jokers in together?
an amazing tribute to the villians of cinema !!
Do a Hero version next, the beginning of this one was fantastic
Great work. I didn't mind the music change and the lighter-hearted villains that show up (Home Alone) at the beat fit the tone. Radio Gaga didn't fit well at all, but I didn't mind because it was well edited, showed more villains, and I love the song. Cheers.
A worthy video my love, that music was perfect to go with it
I've always believed monsters aren't born they are created
Both
I think this is my favorite tribute video.Very good job
Nice video. There's loads of "good" bad guys from television and video games too. Saren and Tywin Lannister to mention a few.
Love the Parliament music
so beautiful
2:10 I guess we could say that we just got *whiplashed* lmao
You can stop watching this at 2:30. In the first 2:30, music matches the villainous dark tone and it's a pretty cool concept. After that it gets hokey.
This video was sooooo good up until 2:30 when the music changed...
The song choices... :/
the second song plz.
Where's Le Chiffre from Casino Royale?
Goosebumps approved.
This is so good I can't even
You really need to learn the difference between the protagonist and the antagonist. Just because a character would be a bad person in real life does not automatically make them a villain. It centers around the story. Alex, from A Clockwork Orange, for example, while a bad person, is actually the protagonist and therefore not the villain. The scientists performing the experiment on him were the antagonists or villains in that story.
Excellent Video
Now we need a hero version.
Simply Outstanding!!!!!!
Man your video is awesome , but why Vincent and Jules?
Why is Jared Leto (as the Joker) included? We haven't even seen his performance and you're already pairing him with Hannibal, Darth Vader and the rest...
TheSLK66 It's small villains as well - not the greatest villains. There's Amy from Gone Girl in there as well.
Alex Knight Yeah, but her movie was released months ago, Suicide Squad hasn't even made it to the cinema yet...
To be fair ultron was included and his entire film didn't convince me he was something to be compared to Hannibal or Vader....so I guess to answer your question, they threw in anybody.
No Sauron?? His eye in the Palantir doesn't count.
Fuc*in awesome, man!!
Amazing! :D
Alan Rickman definitely has the best Villain voice ever..!
I am sure I am not the only person who noticed the deliberate pairing of Blofeld and then Christoph Waltz exclaiming 'Ooo that's a bingo' as Hans Landa.
YOOO GLITCH MOB
1:36-2:30
sick af
All of them are defeated/dead.
no darkness from legend or nothingness from neverending story :( ?

-what do you mean everyone?
-EVERYYYYYYYONEEEEEEEE!!
This comment is gold 😍😍😍
Literally apparently supposedly ok
So dark and serious and then... "How 'bout a magic trick?"
It is intended. Evil do magic tricks.
Nice to see Gary Oldman in Léon is featured, :P
brawlgeek word, i was waiting for Stansfield to pop up!
They featured "EVERYONE!" Here
brawlgeek Yea but no Drexl unfortunately
Carlos Leiva What do you mean everyone?
calpitoc
E V E R Y O N E !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Severely lacking Daniel Plainview.
Pratik Hazari There will be Blood is my favorite movie of all time, but he does not belong in this video at all.
SuperAwesomeHobo Interesting. Does Eli take that spot?
***** In that case Michael Corleone should be out of the video too. Is interesting the villain-antihero thing, but in my opinion Plainview and Corleone are both villains.
***** i never saw him as a anti hero. he was greedy, didn't care for others, and also killed two people.
***** i kinda of agree with you, but i see an anti hero as a flawed hero and i don't really see any positive or heroic qualities to the character. i see characters like ryan gosling in Drive an antihero.
Check out this amazing tribute to some of cinemas finest villains!

Thodosss s but 3:40 is The Devil Wears Prada :-P
sorry mate =) .allthough not my work it was copy paste from another site
Was not expecting to see the music change. . .
It was great, but I can't believe you left out the xenomorph from the Alien films! Blasphemy!
Rogue Planet By that logic, then this video shouldn't have included the shark from Jaws. ;)
Gregory Achen Rogue Planet or for that matter, the t-rex.
Gregory Achen Or the marshmellow man.
@@zaalrottunda2804 Disagree, the best villains are the ones who believe they are the hero of the story. And who can't relate to that?
Peter Hausfrau I think that would've made for a worser video. It would be exactly the same as every other tribute video out there.
Peter Hausfrau
Agreed. this went from putting a smile on my face and being possibly my favorite movie montages...to falling completely flat a couple minutes before the end.
I agree 100%. It should be different rather than abruptly end what you started building in the first song. The comical bit was not bad it just felt like such a drop from the first part. Maybe the comedy bit first then into the dramatic part. Doesn't fit together at all the way it is now.
Peter Hausfrau Had the same thoughts too.
I can't express how both of these are just massive masterpieces
Oh the first part! Greatest choice of song and the build up is perfect, but that's just the first part. Thank you so much for the first part...the other parts were awesome too but music killed it for me...but thank you for the video. . .
Best movie montage ever! Lovin Animus Vox at the beginning.
Anyone else notice the crossover of Joker lines at 3:50? Heath Ledger's "I don't wanna kill you!" And then Jared Leto's "I'm just gonna hurt you really, really bad." - pure genius right there
THIS IS ART.
I actually like the different music styles, it really grew on me
I like this because it was really well made, but I dislike this because none of the villains were peppers.
'Every fairytale needs a good old-fashioned villain.' - Jim Moriarty
great choices, kinda agree with peter about the music, first song was badass, after that one it kinda just lost my interest, regardless pretty awesome video, and who is the guy holding the hammer or axe that comes apart in his hands, right after the nazi from inglorious bastards and the villain from james bond
This needs a part two with more Villains. So well done
Every good hero needs an even greater villain >;)
I would've loved 'Bob' from Twin Peaks being in there! Otherwise this is fucking great
Pure gold. Leaves me to chills and leaves me mesmerized.
Very nice montage. I would've included Freddy Krueger or Jason Voorhees at least, or Michael Myers.
Typical to see how individuals are pointing out on how badly the video is missing : Insert personal favorite. You've probably spent the whole video "waiting for it" and were so pre-occupied with thinking about the comment you were going to write on this video, that you didn't pay attention to appreciating not only its editing, but if you will, it's nearby perfection.
by the way, i missed some folks in this video:
-jason voorhees
-freddy krueger
-michael myers,
-leatherface
-otis driftwood
-chucky
-chop top
basically almost every horror movie villain is absent in this video for some reason.
UM GARY OLDMAN IN THE FIFTH ELEMENT?! C'MON!
Darebearlovesbug Or in The Professional? C'MON!
Eugene Kim he was there
Darebearlovesbug "You're a monster, Zorn."
"I know."
Tone. Pacing. Music. Everything.
Thanks for adding Late Amrish Puri ji @ 1:12 to this villain list. He really deserve to be in this list.
3:54 the best moment in this video! for those who have a fear of clowns: brace yourselves!
5:11-5:16
mhh... a get a weird prophetic feeling after seeing SPECTRE
two great Blofelds in a row ;)
Great video btw
missed 'Davy Jones' ..
but so what, that was the best 6 min of my life ..
Thank you from the heart....
I didn't know that the lead singer of the Monkees was an Villain
I am a great villain fan, so I really enjoyed this
The four libertines from Salò or the 120 days of sodom
The Devil Comes To Steal And Kill And Destroy
The Devil Is A Liar
Icky Boys And Icky Girls

5:32 perfection!
the radio Gaga part is perfect
Not a complete list. My mother-in-law isn't on here.

So many villains, so little time..... Drama wouldn't be DRAMA without them.
"Long live the King" always send chill down my spine. Amazing
