Thank you Nathan, I watch your videos every time I have to work on my Xterra. I had to replace my steering gear box today and didn't know anything about the clock spring, well I broke mine now I have to replace it. With your video it should be a breeze. By chance do you have a video of doing the relocation on the Knock sensor? lol

Its Fixed! All good. No more Light.
My stearing wheel always squeaked when turning so i took it off with the airbag greased up the think plugged everything back in and put it back and now the light is on
I've got a 2010 Xterra with the blinking airbag light. I suspect they are pretty much the same routine. Do you think an OEM one is necessary? NAPA has several after market ones. some big bucks some cheap. I doubt I could find an OEM one as cheap as you found that one. But full retail is out of the question.
That white plastic piece is a locking mechanism to prevent the clock spring from turning until installed. If the new clock spring isn't indexed it will work worse than the broken one you pulled out.
Yea I finally got the light to stay off! Its been few months and I can say its finally fixed! It needed a new clock spring.
@@FixingWithPassion you can by inexpensive resistors to simulate the airbag after it is removed. Then watch live scan data and if there is still a code then you know it's the clock spring/wiring issue. Saves time and money from playing airbag swaptronics. 😉👍 At least it's a good thing now that the issue is fixed. Winner winner!
