With everything besides painting and markers but especially for ink-work I like the Leuchtturm sketchbooks. The paper is really nice for fountain pen, ink brush and pencils and I like the size of the big square one. For painting with water colour/gouache I haven't found a "holy grail" yet, though I am also a bit more frugal with sketchbooks since I go through them rather quickly...I mostly to sketching and planning stuff in sketchbooks, less finished pieces.

I am a huge fan of Etchr sketchbooks, but I also love Kilimanjaro sketchbooks even though they are wire bound, I like that they have a 70 lb sheet between each watercolor sheet. Also the 300 lb (640 gsm) is great for oil sketches.
I have a Hanemühle Nostalgie sketchbook that I'm very fond of. I miss having access to their papers, it's not very often you find them in Canada, and they are very expensive. That toned Strathmore one looks great! I'll have to pick one up next time I need a new sketchbook. That's for sharing your thoughts and sketchbooks!
I love tan toned,gray toned and blue toned paper. I wanna buy 3 sketchbooks from the brand strathmore that have those papers but you,re sketchbook is very good too😊
I got my toned sketchbooks today. I love them. They are gonna be my sketchbooks on the go. And i have the watercolour canson a4 and a3 wen i work whit my gouache paints and my acrylic gouache paints. I love you,re paintings😁✌🏾👋🏾👍🏾have a nice day or evening
Agree completely with using smaller size paper/sketchbooks as beginner…it made huge difference in my approach.
