Visine LR had oxymetazoline 0.025%, Upneeq is oxymetazoline 0.1%, so 4 times as strong, so likely to help people who didn't see an effect from the Visine.
Buy regular nose spray the same active ingredient oxymetazoline hydrochloride just make sure you don't get menthol or anything and just get basic nose spray
This was definitely really eye-opening pun intended. I suffer from ocular myasthenia gravis and this was a product recommended to me. I will check with my neuro opthamologist to see what they advise in regards to using this for my droopy eyelids during a ocular mg crisis.

I love it. I work a lot and don't sleep well. When I use upneeq I look well rested and fresh for the day. its been a lifesaver for meetings, zoom calls, and any time where I need to look my best. I don't notice any negative side affects outside of minor and temporary blurring of vision while the medication is absorbed.
This is me almost exactly. I had one bad (really bad) bout of styes for several months in my right eyes. Since then, that eye is even droopier than before. It's not horrible, but I really notice it especially in photos. I'd love to know if this worked for you!
I’m wondering if this active ingredient is the same that was in Visine many years ago, yellow label long lasting, this Visine was removed from the shelves due to this ingredient. Believe me, I will not forget this time as I was addicted to this eyedrop, and had paid $150 for a bottle of Visine from eBay. Finally seen an eye doctor to help me with my addiction. What ever he gave me it worked, but I relapsed am still to this day and I drop fanatic. One thing I noticed, my eye that is droopy is genetic, my mom has it, I also noticed one of my aunts has it as well as does my grandma. Runs in the family, hoping the drops help lift my eyelid.
I used it. It works, but not for very long. It only lasts about 5 hours. I wish I could take a second drop for the second half of the day so that my co-workers would not think something happened to me after 1pm.
Ive been using this for 2 years and it works. However its expensive and there is no generic on the market yet. So BIg Pharma can keep increasing the price while preying on those dependent on these drops. A thing to note is this is only temporary...you have to use these drops forever and the costs add up. A 90 day supply is $300. 4 X 300 = $1200 a year alone. I would suggest get Ptosis surgery instead from a qualified ocuplastic surgeon. I'm looking into this for just my right eye for long term results
Hey Dr. Rupa, I have a question because one of my good friends says she uses this for DRY EYE. Says it's the only thing that helps her and I call B.S. She is very pretty and into all things cosmetic (botox and all facial/skin procedures). So I just want to know if you have heard of anyone using these drops for DRY EYE? I have used them a 3-4 years ago and I did see a more "alert" look in my eyes (my left has the droop but I always put drops in both for any occasion). I only bought them once because of the cost and my lack of a social life, but considering buying now from out of state website that is having a Black Friday sale. I spoke to the makers at RVL to verify they are legit and to ask how far out are the expiration dates assigned to each box. Thanks for answering my dry eye question if you know if patients use this for that. My guess is there are better drops on the market for that.

Hello! Many things can cause droopiness. It can be simply from getting older or it can be caused by a medical issue. If you haven't already, schedule an appointment with your eye doctor so they can give you an exam. Upneeq is available in other countries as well.

That's the problem...if you don't have weddings, or special occasions why would you use it to just go to the grocery store? I would "guess" this is used cosmetically for mostly women of a certain age? When the drooping really sets it. I tried it when it first came out a few years ago. Ophthalmologist sold me a box with a short expiration date on the box and I was disappointed I didn't realize that until I started using them, so I continued to use even after the expire date. Also, they give you enough liquid in each dropper for more than one use in both eyes so I found a way to "re cap" and use a second time. I did see a more wide open eye but the results are short lived. Long enough for a special occasion though. It's just at 66, I don't have a whole lot of socializing that I once had.
You can certainly try it but it might exacerbate your dryness (your eyes are more open, therefore more exposed, as well as the preservatives). My optometrist who is in her late 50's tried it and loved the lift but hated the dryness, but she has very severe dry eyes

So it made my eyes much WHITER, but not much bigger. I had higher hopes! (there’s a video of my before/after on my page)

Hey Mollie! Great question. One drop per eye is the recommended dose. You should not need to put both drops in one eye.

It will make it worse. I'm done using this due to the dry eye so I'm scheduled for surgery in may.
