CORRECTION: The oldest high speed line in Europe is from Florence (Firenze) to Rome in Italy. The high-speed railway line along this route is the second oldest high-speed line in Europe.
I rode by the Buisness class and Executive class from Paris to Lyon and Lyon to Paris this summer! It was an amazing experience. Loved the executive class treatment, I was all lone and had the whole coupe for me with 6 course lunch. ❤
And this may be controversial, I feel Paris is cleaned well by the authorities. Its the people the tourists and the locals (mostly) that don't care of keeping it clean.
I know it’s controversial indeed but I agree. Although I really have to say that just sending homeless people somewhere else isn’t going to solve the problem. This has been recorded before the olympics btw.
I live in Lyon and often see these trains. I will definitely give it a try on my next trip to Paris. Useful to have a clear explanation of the different classes. As for the flights on the route, I think these are only open to connecting flight passengers, but I may be wrong.
@@Trainviking Indeed. Flights into Paris Orly may be a little more difficult but there's a TGV, Paris-avoiding line that has a stop at CDG airport so transferring to the train is easy for destinations to the north and south.
The reason the information is also in Italian is because this service originally ran all the way to Milan. There is currently a blockage in the alps due to a landslide and so until that is cleared, the route is operating only domestically in France.
The Treno Italo are build by Alstom as far as I know. These trains have been build by AnsaldoBreda, however Hitachi Rail took over AnsaldoBreda, and now it's called Hitachi Rail Italia.
