To be honest with staying power of doom is insane Like this game is over 30 years old and yet it STILL has a thriving community🤩🤩🤩

Hell I am having trouble with keeping up to date with Ports, WADs and PWads galore. Hell I bet good money the Project Brutality update happened since the last time I played it and I am probably 6 months out of date on mods. It is insane. Also the spriters are legends, so many cool new enemy sprites and interesting ones too, also difficult as hell in some cases, pun intended.
It does, but what I've noticed is that if you set it to Nightmare and turn off "monsters respawn" it will automatically turn it down to ultra-violence once you're in game. I guess it makes sense, but I think there has to be a better way to remedy that
@@brainchamber99In the original pc port, nightmare difficulty definition of respawn monster is when you empty the room of specified monsters, the same room gets replaced with new ones of same type in 1 min and half they will respawn from portals
Nobody's going to stick around with that multiplayer. It's very chaotic and doesn't really have much strategy. I also didn't even see a progression system. It's a product of its time, and in terms of a multiplayer experience, it's not great. But Doom the single player game proper as a whole is a great game. This is a wonderful remix of not one of, but the undisputed best classic shooter from the 1990s.
@@Agumon5 btw, deathmatches generaly are very chaotic, it's make part of what destmatch is deathmatch, at least for doom, and it not Bering soo skill based make it more fare and fun for everyone, just a time to forget, and not a time to think all time on how to be better like a modern online fps
Re-release of Doom/Doom2 with a ton of content and mods, using Kex engine. They remade music, but you can turn on classic music as well. A lot of stuff can be tweaked in settings menu you can set the font to classic, default is what you saw. Very cool release, if u owned Doom 1 or 2 on steam before u got it for free, or if u find a cheap Steam key of the delisted old Dooms. i.imgur.com/TPWtIYo.png
Angel turned to the silent guy in the room, "What about you, are you ready?" The man nodded his head slowly, cocking his shotgun. Angel turned to Willow, "I take it that means yes?" Willow snorted in amusement, nodding.
@@FetalAlcoholSyndromar I get where bro is coming from but to ME PERSONALLY, the only cool implementation of bots would maybe be to run large co-op games w and MAYBE the occasional bs deathmatch. Like on codm, they got that single player training and I will use it, but playing against ai feels so played out sometimes that I really try to avoid modes like that completely in shooters. You really don’t learn from your mistakes and improve like you will against real competition. I even got better at doom when I started hosting more matches after joining a few to try it out at first.
Yes, u make a server and make it private share a code they can use to join. Or leave it public but many people will join then. Everything done from within the game in the menus.
Resident Evil, the first PC classic that is on Gog (old games) arrived this year and be warned and I see so much on Gog that I like old things and I can play at will and I like downloading pro emulators I play doom on my pc and on my mobile phone the smarthphone
Multiplayer is cool but no free aim? Why even have a crosshair? What's even the point of this port. It's just the same game. Not even a graphical update... Bet you can't even play mods with other people.
Free aim in a 30 yr old game lol. Its still using whats essentially the same engine with varying levels of compatibility for slightly newer yet mostly vanilla esque source ports. Also a “graphical update” for a 30 yr old game lol. Just play something else.
Dark Forces just got a remaster with 4k 120fps and a graphical update, and has free aim. It's also a 30 year old game lol. Nightdive Studios understand what a "remaster" actually means.
@@Shinjiro_37 this isn’t a remaster, no one claimed it was a remaster lol. Just another rerelease with more cool levels to play. Doom is doom, if you want freelook then feel free to play on a modern source port where that feature has been available for years and years. Not to mention mods which improve visuals and the like. If a “remaster” came out maybe I’d be bothered that those features aren’t in but with the way it was released it’s not bad, and is probably the best official way to play the original games right now.
Not saying its a bad port, but more of a pointless one since there's many ways to play vanilla Doom anyway. And how is it not considered a remaster when the steam page says things like "Upgraded visuals" , "4K resolution" , "60fps" and cross-platform? Seems kinda like a half-assed remaster to me. But that's what Bethesda does best, re-release the same games with no changes, just like with Skyrim.
The point is, does this port give people any added value over the Unity version or the classic, besides working multiplayer out of the box? No because this is a "remastered" version for those who like the classic vanilla experience.

People will still like it one hundred years post release, good forever.
Doom but if they sent an actual group of marines instead of just one really angry guy
actualy all Players are angry due their reasson to the demons. 😈😈😈
ID vault is also really cool, it showcases a ton of sprites that were either not used or only used in early builds, very interesting.
I wish they had concepts for all of the new enemies and weapons in the game to give them a little depth
3:15 Classic door stuck
So much chaos, the beauty of doom
Coop needs to have nightmare difficulty on to make things interesting

Yeah this game's multiplayer will never die.I wonder why besthesda didn't port this to mobile or update those
Give it a few months and it will be a ghost town.
@@Shinjiro_37pls dont say this

What is this and why is that soundtrack _so unreasonably good?!_
Also… "fuel" as an ammo type?
Also-also… Arial for status messages…? _Really._

fuel is for the new guns in the new episode (rust of legacy)
arial for status messages and stuff is for accessibility, but you can turn it off

Multiplayer looks too hectic to be much fun
I love the ingame chat
Yeah it's pretty funny, u can disable the text to speech stuff ofcourse by default it's on.

Can't believe they didn't add bot support for local mp - missed opportunity in my book.
Who tf wanna play against bots when you have all of these online games hosted by real players???
@@insertu5ernameherelike there’s gonna be players for long… I don’t think its a bad idea especially for when the games dead
i mean you can add bots in zandronum but if you are thst thirsty for it to be in the official welp

Pretty cool but 2 axis mouse???
yup like original doom, u get used to it fast
So fun! Does anyone know how to change colors in multiplayer?
They finally get Friendly Fire option!?
How does co-op work? Can you play through the game with a buddy?

too awesome
i dont play this game but kinda wish it have modern control
Does anyone know how the heck do I play split screen?
is anyone else's multiplayer janky as hell and a massive input lag between when you pull the trigger vs when it shoots?😊
No, but it's very sensitive to ping, if u have high ping then you will see that. Not the best networking code.
Alguien puede ayudarme como jugar multijugador coop con trucos
The only thing I wanted to see where local players go into an online match and you didn't show it
