Don Felder is the guitarist playing the double neck guitar, Joe Walsh is the other guitarist…Don Henley is the drummer….the Eagles always sound perfect in person ..
My dear Lady Swift… I remember seeing this classic group live in concert when they toured Australia back in 2010 & the concert went for close to 3 & a half hours 🤟😁🦅🦅. In all honesty, it was my favourite concert of all time that I’ve seen by an international artist, beating the likes of Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson… To name just a few. Their harmonising on many songs is totally next level. There are legendary & iconic groups… And then there are The Eagles 🦅 🇺🇸🦅. They are in a class all by themselves & ANYONE who’s seen them live will agree with me ✊😎👍
Don Felder playing the double neck guitar and Joe Walsh playing the other. No autotune and bands in those days played so much live they were all really good. If you go back to the Midnight special videos you will see how well all those bands sounded live its amazing
Don Henley was the drummer on this song. The Eagles with this line up of talent actually had 4 lead singers on stage. Randy Meisner(bass), Glen Frey(acoustic), Joe Walsh the Bandana guy and Don Henley. There was no Autotune anywhere near these guys. What you heard was what they actually sang.
Yes, this song is lifelong. It's like the good wine, it never gets old 😊. This song is still playing on the radio here after almost 50 years. I appreciate the variety of musical genres and eras on your channel. I hope you're well, take care 👋

@@Dismembering_Man--No audio it’s crackling and distorted… very bad quality. Needs to be re-recorded. Nothing personal. Sometimes technical things happen.
Greatest rock song ever recorded, and yes they sound awesome live. Saw them live, can vouch for their live sound. They all sing lead except maybe for Felder (double neck guitar player)
Don Felder is the one playing the double neck guitar. He's the only one that doesn't sing lead on any song (that I know of). Glen Frey (keys & guitar), Don Henley (drums) and Joe Walsh (guitar) all had successful solo careers as well. Timothy B.Schmidt is the bass player. He sings lead on a few songs too.
The drummer and lead singer (for this song) is Don Henley. The guy on the double-neck guitar is Don Felder, and the other lead guitarist is Joe Walsh. The guy playing acoustic guitar (who is shown only occasionally) is Glenn Frey. Most of the Eagles' songs were written by Glenn Frey and Don Henley, and they are the band's two primary singers, although the others sing as well. This song (Hotel California) was written by Frey/Henley (words) and Don Felder (music). In particular, Felder mapped out the lead guitar breaks that he and Joe Walsh perform together. Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh all had successful solo careers as well... Frey actually was an actor in some films and TV shows. Frey died in 2016.
@@BobKovacs actually, most of the Eagles’ songs were written by Don Frey and Don Henley, not Don Felder, although Felder did write the music to Hotel California.

Don Henley the Drummer was lead singer number 2. In the early years of the band Glenn Frey was the main lead. He said as time went on he sang lead less and less on purpose because they had Don Henley in the band. Don, btw, wasn't the drummer for every song. They hired a session drummer to relieve him when he wasn't playing. By the end if this year, 1977, Randy Meisner left the band. And in 1980 a verbal argument between Glenn Frey and Don Felder, the guy playing the double guitar, lead to the band dissolving later that year. That argument happened on stage while the band was performing a benefit concert, and was picked up on recordings of the concert. They were performing the concert to benefit a California politician and Don felt he was being forced to be there. He wasn't a political person so he wasn't happy and Glenn got pissy about that fact. The whole band, minus Meisner who was replaced by Timothy B. Schmit reunited and began recording new songs and touring in 1994. Don Felder was fired in 2001 because of his wanting to be paid more money.. Glenn Frey 2016 and Randy Meisner 2023 are the only members, past and present who are no longer with us.
The Eagles were initially the backup band for Linda Ronstadt if you haven't you should react to Linda Ronstadt Desperado also Blue Bayou as well as you're no good
Such a great song. But be very careful with reacting to them. So many people have gotten copyright strikes from them. Don Henly (Drummer, vocalist) is the main instergator. Personally, just steer clear of them for your channel's sake.
Unfortunately I cannot enjoy this reaction video. I gave up after some time, due to the bad sound "qualiy" as of the start of the "Eagles" video. That is so _painful_ , given the cultural reputation of this _timeless masterpiece_ . Btw, the band is called "Eagles", not "The Eagles".
Nice reaction! This is an iconic song, and it's great to actually see them perform it. You should check out the version that Rolf Sanchez did on Beste Zangers (ruclips.net/video/yktsfh2sEv8/видео.html); there's really a lot of gold on the 2019 season of that show, including several outstanding performances by Floor. ETA: Rolf is actually singing Hotel California to Floor in that episode.
Not a lot of autotune? There was no autotune back then. Back in the day you had to actually sing and there was no technology to make a voice sound better.
I'd be VERY careful about reacting to them as Don Henley is an egotistical pain who has a team of people checking RUclips for reactors doing just such reactions and then issuing Copyright strikes . I say this as someone who first saw the Eagles as a support band for Neil Young and Crazy Horse in the early 70s and was hooked ! Sadly Henley has lost the plot and they really aren't worth the hassle of losing your excellent channel over 🤷♂ ♥
Joe Walsh recently said, "It was a lot more fun being 20 in the 70s than being 70 in the 20s."

This album was released perfectly for Christmas. In fact, in NZ, 3 of our family bought it as presents for 3 others, without anyone knowing.
What memories. I was either living in N. Hollywood or Newport Beach & working as a race car mechanic/machinist.
No auto tune back then, just sheer talent.
If you liked Wait in the Truck by Hardy then you will definitely love A Rock. The lyrics are brilliant and the video illustrates it perfectly.
Autotune didn't even exist back then since there was no such thing as digital recording..... All raw talent....
Love your reaction
