Did you have to make it into a salvage title? In ca they ask for inspection vin check. Do they check for modified cars?

It’s still clean title since the car only had liability insurance. I have went through the salvage title process with an old car I had and for the light and brake inspection, they don’t care :)

why did you guys have to re do the t belt and water pump im tubing my front end after a lil bump but wondering if i need to worry bout the timing bc my serpentine almost came off

The radiator got crushed against the water pump and made it so the pulley fell off. They are press fit so it wouldn’t go back in since it stretched out so we had to replace it. The timing belt blocks the water pump so you have to remove it to do a water pump on 2JZs :(
