  • Normal takeoff and climb in my Mooney M20. Write down current ATIS, confirm you have it with control tower, and check for traffic! Once cleared for takeoff accelerate to 70mph, pull back on yoke and allow the aircraft to lift off the ground, accelerate to VY 100 mph, @ a positive rate of climb bring the gear up, at 500 feet AGL reduce flaps to zero, reduce power and RPM to 26/2600 to your assigned altitude.ASEL Commercial/Instrument/AGI- Advanced ground instructor

I plan on flying in to this airfield sometime in the spring, haven't flown in couple months and need to get back into it but most instructors around south Boston have everything but Mooney time especially M20K, I fly a 252.

Hi! I would like to know the reason why you are pulling on the yoke as your turn to line up with the runway? Is this to help turn better by removing weight from the nose wheel?
