I love that Monica kisses Chandler on the lips, while in Joey's dream, she kisses him on the cheek and give him a hug instead. Almost as if Joey inconsciously knew it'd be wrong to think of Monica "that" way.
I think it's more indicative of wanting a relationship that isn't based on sex. A kiss on the lips is much more suggestive than a kiss on the cheek. A kiss on the cheek can mean companionship, gratitude, admiration, comfort. This dream was about wanting a friendship with a girlfriend, a relationship that goes beyond the physical, which Joey had had precious few of over the years.

Joey refuses Monica's food as he feels guilty. As soon as he realises it's not Monica but a close relationship he's dreaming about, he goes right to her pot to have some. 😂 He really is a good and loyal friend, even over his true love, food!

Joey tried the "friends before dating" thing with Rachel and it didn't work because they were too good of friends lol. Brother couldn't catch a break.
Plus it was just weird lol, Rachel and Ross deserved each other
The only thing the show got wrong IMO was fabricating weirdness between Rachel and Joey. They made total sense together and were actually happy, because they were friends first. But the fans were shallow and demanded that R and R go back to a toxic dramatic relationship that made them both worse people

Ish is a way of saying “kind of” or “almost”. It’s not technically correct grammar but it’s used a lot. He’s saying, “I haven’t had those kinds of dreams about Monica since I found out you guys were together... almost.” So his dreams about Monica are still there.
