Still great after that. But this was the climax!
Agree..it was soaring into season 5..season 6 dropped slightly..then starting regressing with each season after.

It's my favorite season, because of these two. I liked season 7 and the part of seasons 9 and 10 that had them trying to have a baby/looking into adoption too.

Love this episode, they say Ross and Rachael story is main love story of the series, but I always think the monica and Chandler love story is so much better. True love. I love the scene when they go to meet the surrogate lady Erica at the agency meeting, she finds out about the mistakes in their identity, and walks off, love how Chandler goes out to talk to her, those words he says. Love it, he say I will learn how to be a good father but my wife is already there, she is a mother without a baby, that scene melts my heart, love how Monica brought the best out on Chandler, Chandler changes so much, he grows so much, he lets go off all his commitment issues through his love for Monica, it is Chandler who suggests they move in together after the las Vegas trip

Monica and Chandler are both very sensitive in different ways and they learned how to best treat each other. That’s called a relationship.

This was the best version of that old "lead characters in an ensemble cast sputter through an on-again/off-again dysfunctional relationship (Ross/Rachel) while the supporting characters develop a healthy, functional relationship effortlessly in the background (Chandler/Monica)" trope.
Chandler is so talented, and he is not just a funny actor, but he sends real messages to real love
One of the funny things I liked was when Monica said where to get the boiler pan, as this has happened in the past, and this is what they agreed to.

This relationship is the reason I started watching friends
Something happened, during the London episodes, a lot of folks i know came to the show around this time, later on we caught up with the past episodes. This was 1998 I think, maybe it was oh friends are going abroad let have a peak, and when folks peaked they saw the magic of that relationship
