Even though London was a major bust for Ross, it was a blessing in disguise for Chandler and Monica.
I mean Ross got the nickname The Divorce Force out of it so it wasn’t a total bust.

If you think about Ross and Rachel really made it happen, Rachel trying to get with Joshua, forgets she has to show her bosses niece around New York so she begs Ross to show Emily around.. they wouldn't even be in London if that never happened.. also the bridesmaid keeping Joey 'busy' that night too 😂
“Major bust” is an UNDERSTATEMENT.
The Producers of FRIENDS didn't want London to be a total drag, so they counterbalanced the wedding fiasco with a wonderful hook-up.
Multiple hook-ups actually; I almost forgot about Joey and that beautiful Bridesmaid. However, Mondler was a Hook-Up which could return to New York City and blossom there. ❤

Without a doubt this is one of my favourite scenes. Matthew and Courtney both looked so good and their chemistry together was what kept me hooked on the show.

Can you believe Monica and chandler were just supposed to be a fling on the show basically a one night stand and Monica was supposed to end up with Joey but chandler and Monica's chemistry was so good that the writers had to change the storyline
The healthiest relationship in the series.
Chandler and Monica getting together was probably the best thing to happen for this show at this point. I can't imagine how much longer "Friends" would've lasted if it had only had the Ross and Rachel's on-again/off-again relationship to focus on. I would think fans would've gotten sick of it pretty quick.
The romance, relationship and later marriage of Monica and Chandler stole the show. More than Rachel and Ross whose relationship went from love to toxic and at the end, to just rushed and forced (IMO they shouldn't have ended up together again). It lost its magic and credibility. But Monica and Chandler...now that was a solid thing, with their ups and downs, supporting each other and trying to understand, where they both came from and why they reacted a certain way. They grew together. Their love and affection was geunine. You saw glimpses of it, when they were just friends like with Monica at the hospital when Ross had his son, and she's on the phone with Judith, whi makes Monica feel like, she would never marry and have a baby. Chandler swooped in and hung up the phone for her. With Chandler and his estranged father, Monica brought them back together. When Chandler lost his job, and went to another state to work, Monica supported him and they made it work despite the distance. Chandler despite his insecurities was a stand up guy. The kind you want to make a home with and have a family with. He was a good friend and a good husband. He was there for Monica when their fertility issues arose. They dealt with it like a team. He didn't abandon her or blame her. This is what couples do. Love is not the only thing. It's the start but you also need to be compassionate, trusting, respectful and kind. You need to be there when things fall apart or you hit mountains. You need to overcome them together. As a team. That's the test of love. Love and marriage is not about whispering sweet nothings, making passionate love and just being there for the happy times. Relationships will be tested. It's how you handle those tests. Chandler was more of a man than he pegged himself to be. Monica and Chandler were truly blessed to have found each other.
